The Southwest has some nice areas that aren't too far from the Strip. Rent in or near Summerlin can cost more than other areas of the valley so be sure to shop around for the best apartment that fits your needs.
Truth is if its roach free and you have a roof over your head ,in a half decent area. You're blessed on a limited budget as in a few years that'll be 1k
The Harmon looks like one of those old emerald or budget suites hotels. Same exact layout. I visited those hotels back in the early 2000s. Nice looking properties on the outside but a dive motel inside. The rooms were terrible

We shouldnt expect that something cheap is going to be decent. Nor that something decent is going to be cheap. I did the same visit there about a month ago. U missed something else that is significant. The security guard stand has a sign for the complex that says Visitor Hours: 8am-10pm. And its not referring to the leasing office. So overnight visitors are not allowed. I found that ridiculous. Residents are not living there for free, for the complex to have that restriction.
There’s a reason for that, this place is not an apartment complex, it is a weekly rental inn. They don’t allow people after 10pm because of prostitution. These places are not for regular folks.
Please keep yourself safe. I can understand that this may be all some can afford but that’s not the “niche” of your channel. Your videos have helped me so much for my eventual move. Would be interested to see Paisley&Pointe in Centennial Hills if you get back up that way.

This place used to be Harbor Island lots of history. Lived in C Bldg for 3 years until Aug of 2023 they upped priced of studio apt to over 1200 bucks cause F1 was in area that year now look how cheap rent's are they also evicted a lot of older renter out thinking in 2023 they could get higher rent that back fired.😁
Never go by cheap prices, also if outside looks bad, unkept...RUN!! I learned my lesson renting a extremely cheap apartment the inside was all new but the outside was unkept and the street was bad. Moved out 2 months later. Noise 24/7 TV and music blasting day and night and screaming etc. Car was vandalized also.
This place is one of the back in the day hotel. I was told that it was a "pro" daily rent hotel, and now they are remodeling it and renting it out, while working on units.

My rent is as $700 30 years ago lol. I’m in Vegas and our rent is $3500. (We’re buying next month) but still you can’t get a decent safe place that’s affordable in Vegas.

I would say maybe this property you looked at would be good for Airbnb because you keep a bigger percentage %$ but a lot of tourist that aren’t use to the strip always complain about the homeless people but that’s just the way the LV strip is to downtown Freemont.

Suggestion: Flamingo Polo Condo Apartments, 3110 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Last I checked, 1 bedroom apts were in upper $900s. Definitely worth Ms. Caroline Lopez doing a youtube review. Thank you ! Ps. 100xs much better location than the Harmon Apts !
On 8/1 I moved into a much nicer place also close to the strip with a similar price. I could not be happier. University Gardens 3955 University Center Drive.
Also once a year you get the Formula 1 race at full volume no sleep due to practice and the actual race is a late night early morning. Harmon are the second worst in Vegas, Budget Suits is #1 Worst. Just a warning for those who want to move to Vegas.
I lived in this complex 25 years ago. It was built and designed nicely, but it was not run well. I lived on the 3rd floor of the building that faced the pool and next to the tennis courts. It did have one elevator at the far end of the building. On the opposite side of the building was a huge sand pit and volleyball courts. It was raunchy even back then. It wasn't security gated back then. We had a prostitute living next door to us. I couldn't open my currents during the day. Her customers were standing around leaning on my windows and door while they waited their turn. I was a prisoner in my apartment until my boyfriend got home from work, or she took a day off. And still, men knocked on her door at all hours. Across the pool were corporate apartments for business travelers on extended stay. Prostitutes hung out at the pool, arranging "business" with these people, then going back to their rooms. One time, we came home late at night, and while parking, our car lights caught naked people doing business in the bushes.

Yeah, no😂 as a Vegas resident of over 20 years, those are not “apartments”, that’s what you call a weekly rental inn, for crackheads and criminals mostly. The area is again, full crackheads and criminals. Also those driving times… if you live in Vegas for any period of time you will quickly find out that a 15 minute drive on the map translates to 30 minutes on the road due to closures and heavy traffic, especially in that area of the city.

Ther is literally NO AFFORDABLE OPTIONS in my area. If something rare affordable,comes up , it’s rented before it’s even advertised.

Yeah, no😂 as a Vegas resident of over 20 years, those are not “apartments”, that’s what you call a weekly rental inn, for crackheads and criminals mostly. The area is again, full crackheads and criminals. Also those driving times… if you live in Vegas for any period of time you will quickly find out that a 15 minute drive on the map translates to 30 minutes on the road due to closures and heavy traffic, especially in that area of the city.
