Ahahahahaha that's me on my SL1. I was thinking of being nice and helping lowbies. Little did I know a NG+8 SL1 player was around. That's never happened to me before, you made my night! Thank you for the laughs.
I've had this happen to me before, I got killed by a partial parry from a Rapier Balder Knight. My jaw just dropped before I figured out what happened.
As in the recovery frames of the attacks? Yeah, that's what I was referring to. The Reinforced Club is alright if you're doing nothing but backstab fishing (which is entirely appropriate for a SL1 invader with elemental weapons).
It's on there but I don't think that's where I saw it actually. I think I read it somewhere in a couple forums I visited because I was curious myself, but it seems to add up because you don't get shit for invading unless they're like level 150+. I always skip the taurus demon (boss) just so I can host in undead burg for that reason.
Balder weighs in at 4 units with heater being 2 and the reduction is almost 70, for its weight AND 100% physical its very good. Not to mention is still a small shield and has less ending lag on the parry animation.
It's all based on your soul levels. You can go 10 higher or lower than you, plus 10% of your level both ways. So, say you were level 20. You could summon someone level 8, right up to level 32. Since 10% of 20 = 2, add on the base 10, that's 12. 12 levels in either direction. Naturally as you level up that range gets a little bigger, but the difference between levels also gets much lesser. Early on 3 levels makes the difference between being able to wield a weapon. later it's like, 3 damage.
Lmao at the end. Sunbro: alright, area boss defeated! Host: that was just a grunt. Sunbro: Nope, area boss. Bai. I would a left a sun medal and some humanity as well.
Perhaps you didn't understand fully, but FullerClock is also a hacker. 1000 hp is Vitality 27. He was SL1. The highest starting vitality is Knight, at 14, or 658 health.
I think someone may have summoned me into a game like this once. I was parrying and backstabbing but wondering the whole time why my weapons were doing so little damage. I thought I might have accidentally equipped a weapon that was not upgraded but didn't have a break in the action to swap it out. And then I get hit once and lose my entire lifebar.
I'd be very interested to see you employ an undead rapport/ lingering dragoncrest playstyle against invaders with this toon. This is brilliant, but trolling summons is all too common. Twinked out parish invaders on the other hand... Please consider this option.
That's all possible, no boss requires you to be a specific soul level. As you're on emarrel's channel you should be aware of this. There's a a playthrough of NG+ 7 of both dark and demon's souls here.
Hand Axe since the 'popular' SL1 PvE weapons (Reinforced Club and Battle Axe) suffer from shortage which considerably diminishes their effectiveness in PvP (due to lag and human opponents being a lot more mobile).
There is only one logical follow up to this video. SL1 NG+8 undead burg, while being gravelorded, with undead rapport (cast on the BK benerike knight), summon Solaire and Lautrec, and use dried finger to set up the most amazing invader trap ever. If you need, I can bring a level 1 gravelord down and we can try to establish a connection...
I wonder if Rare/Rings of Sacrifice might be affecting that? I don't know, but at SL 120 I usually get around 9000 souls as invader, I'm making a SL 100 build, I'll check if it's as constant on that one as well.
Because so many people have been asking, the music source I found (for the first one) is "Dance of Pickled Scallion" from K-ON!! I wasn't able to find the other two, but they weren't the ones I wanted anyway. You can find it at this link: /watch?v=W6x9b_Aas0Y
I made backup of saves at every boss fog gate for my SL1 Ng+7 run in case I want to revise a bit. Actually I just finished Gwyn. Now I'm too tired for more single player lol
Lol this was great. I can only imagine ppl's reactions when they got one shotted by a hollow soldier. And the part where ppl start laughing after that invader with 1k hp at SL1 invaded you really cracked me up.
You know it makes you think: that's what it's like for every new player going into a souls game for the first time. Also if that happens to me I would be like BRING IT ON!!!!
Actually, it would be hillarious if they sent a get well card (just the get well card, not the $100), cause i imagine it would rub it in rather than make them feel better.
I would also like to know the song at 3:42. I feel like its a remix of Casltevania Circle of the Moon's song "Awake". If it is that song, can somebody tell me WHICH remix it is?
Soul formula.... If invader - Get 10% of souls needed for host/phantom killed to level up (seeing as it costs 90400 souls to get from 120 to 121, killing a level 120 grants 9040 souls.) If Host - Gain 50% of souls needed for invader to level up (120 gives 45200 souls).
I sure as hell don't think that I could do it. I'm an average player at best. Someone like Lobos Jr. could pull it off, though. He's done challenges like going through the game with only a broken straight sword for a weapon and no armor.
Hey, this is a question unrelated to the video, but how do you backstab people running away? Are you able to go from sprinting immediately to a backstab, or do you have to stop sprinting at the right time and backstab?
Hollowed Warriors are meant to be easy, but I see people die to them a lot in this video! Besides, who'd expect those Phantoms to be such powerhouses? One might be confident and just try a classic Combustion spell on them, only to trade a single, deadly blow with them. The invaders won't know how beefed up they'll be. The element of SURPRISE NIGHTMARE MODE!
I blame you for Soul Memory.
I love the first guy's reaction "Ha, my lightning battle axe will kill everything... Wait, that guy didn't die? *instant death in full steel armor*"
"You were summoned to the wrong neighborhood"
Ahahahahaha that's me on my SL1. I was thinking of being nice and helping lowbies. Little did I know a NG+8 SL1 player was around. That's never happened to me before, you made my night! Thank you for the laughs.
I've had this happen to me before, I got killed by a partial parry from a Rapier Balder Knight.
My jaw just dropped before I figured out what happened.
lol at the end, THANKS FOR CALLING THE SUNBRO HOTLINE
If this was DBZ, you just summoned a bunch of Krillins into a world of Frieza.
You made my day, sir.
SonicoPlatiumSlime
*Drops "thank you" carving*
Ganonmustdie2 More like a bunch of Yamchas into a world of Maajin Buu
This... just... dear lord this scares me on some primal Dark Souls player level.
Oh god hahah @ :28 he was so sure he one shot it.
THIS VIDEO FINALLY GAVE ME A REASON TO ACHIEVE NG+7 ON MY SL1. NG++ WON'T BE ENOUGH, TIME TO BRUSH UP ON MY REINFORCED CLUB SKILLS.
As in the recovery frames of the attacks? Yeah, that's what I was referring to.
The Reinforced Club is alright if you're doing nothing but backstab fishing (which is entirely appropriate for a SL1 invader with elemental weapons).
Oh, this is so fantastic. I love every second of this.
emarrel could you post the track lists to your dark souls videos? that would be really super of you
It's on there but I don't think that's where I saw it actually. I think I read it somewhere in a couple forums I visited because I was curious myself, but it seems to add up because you don't get shit for invading unless they're like level 150+. I always skip the taurus demon (boss) just so I can host in undead burg for that reason.
Today, I think we all learned something: Sunbros are awesome.
that and the fact the gold tracer is extremely fast when two handed making it extremely annoying in the hands of someone with high physical defence
Balder weighs in at 4 units with heater being 2 and the reduction is almost 70, for its weight AND 100% physical its very good. Not to mention is still a small shield and has less ending lag on the parry animation.

Sunbro: Nope, area boss. Bai.
I would a left a sun medal and some humanity as well.
A brave soldier of the sun returns home after helping a lost hollow...
May he shine bright in these infernal depths!
Perhaps you didn't understand fully, but FullerClock is also a hacker. 1000 hp is Vitality 27. He was SL1. The highest starting vitality is Knight, at 14, or 658 health.
Not to mention that Hand Axe has some sweet-ass recovery as demonstrated in Emarrel's lmao4kings video.
Thats the silver tracer with the crit modifier, gold tracer has high bleed and base damage along with A dex scaling
Yes they could, summoning and invasions is across all game difficulties.
I want to know what some of the songs you use in your videos are. The ending of this was perfect, both the actual ending and the music.
I'd be very interested to see you employ an undead rapport/ lingering dragoncrest playstyle against invaders with this toon. This is brilliant, but trolling summons is all too common. Twinked out parish invaders on the other hand... Please consider this option.

Just wondering. Has anyone figured out the song at 3:20? I won't be able to rest at ease until I figure it out. I'll go hollow, I will.
too me, it sounded familiar.
***** it sounded like its from baten kaitos
Darude - Sandstorm
It's also Undead Parish, most people take it easy there. No one's expecting enemies to instantly kill you.
Hand Axe since the 'popular' SL1 PvE weapons (Reinforced Club and Battle Axe) suffer from shortage which considerably diminishes their effectiveness in PvP (due to lag and human opponents being a lot more mobile).
I remember getting summoned to NG+4 O&S and crying...it was my first time..
1:10.. just lol.
...imagine getting a message in GFWL for every death. "I hope you recover soon, sincerely (that thing that killed you)"
I was looking at that comment yesterday, hoping you'd make this video.
AND OH BOY AM I HAPPY NOW!
still in utter disbelief that you made it all the way through. I wouldn't have the patience
Dude at the end doing the Sunbros proud
the problem is the lack of SL 1 invaders, he might get a few SL 5 Dorkmoons but he wont see much action aside from that
That Sunbro at the end was pretty good.
But technically that's exactly how the tracers should be used; in conjunction with the hornet ring.
I wonder if Rare/Rings of Sacrifice might be affecting that? I don't know, but at SL 120 I usually get around 9000 souls as invader, I'm making a SL 100 build, I'll check if it's as constant on that one as well.
Pretty much, yep. And as you know, most SL 1 players are well... Not equipped to handle NG+7 mobs, leading to this situation.
What music are you using for these? You have some good stuff!
That music at the end sounded familiar.
They just have to be within range of SL1. And i believe the highest level that a SL1 can summon is 16.
Because so many people have been asking, the music source I found (for the first one) is "Dance of Pickled Scallion" from K-ON!! I wasn't able to find the other two, but they weren't the ones I wanted anyway.
You can find it at this link: /watch?v=W6x9b_Aas0Y

Lol this was great. I can only imagine ppl's reactions when they got one shotted by a hollow soldier. And the part where ppl start laughing after that invader with 1k hp at SL1 invaded you really cracked me up.
It also starts off with 30 vitality as well. That class is pretty dang good for level one!!!!!1!1!
You know it makes you think: that's what it's like for every new player going into a souls game for the first time. Also if that happens to me I would be like BRING IT ON!!!!
As soon as it said that guy had invades, I just new that you were about to demolish em'...
The true Dark Souls starts here
You should summon the super beefed up Nightmare Mode Solaire of Astora, and go fish for invasions, then have them fight Solaire.
This is cool. I wish I could be summoned into your world!! Are you going to do more stuff like this?
Actually, it would be hillarious if they sent a get well card (just the get well card, not the $100), cause i imagine it would rub it in rather than make them feel better.
0:32 JOLLY CO-OPERATI-*Dead*
it was 1100hp which is 30 vitality, so he wasnt glitched or anything.
I would also like to know the song at 3:42. I feel like its a remix of Casltevania Circle of the Moon's song "Awake". If it is that song, can somebody tell me WHICH remix it is?
I wonder if Emarrel plans to make a sequel...
While you're at it, summon Lautrec too.
actaully if he was soul level one nevermind but the hp still connects with the vitality level
The true Dark SOuls starts here
I would like to see you guys get to the boss, maybe keep summoning after you have cleared all of the enemies and then walk into the boss room.
Reinforced Club is really the only reasonable weapon. Battle Axe is alright but doesn't have bleed.
this video is excellent in every way.
Is the first bit of music background music from K-on?
Yup. In fact, the opposite of the last sentence happened to me with my thief.
Soul formula....
If invader - Get 10% of souls needed for host/phantom killed to level up (seeing as it costs 90400 souls to get from 120 to 121, killing a level 120 grants 9040 souls.)

Beat the game in SL1 today, I just have to try to summon some low-level people into the horror that is NG+. Such a brilliant idea.
ZenueG gets props for actually surviving.
Technically he could have gone through the game at a low level. It would be a miserable ordeal, but it's possible.
must be fun :P I would really like to try out being summoned by you into ng+8 :D
Wait, which is that music from the invasion bit. It sounds so familiar.
Summon Solaire AND Lautrec.
Now that's fun. You can still beat them since they're silly NPCs, but it'll take about 20 backstabs for one to go down.
omg ;w; what is the last song!!? so epic! I need this for my life.
You were summoned to DIE FOR MY AMUSEMENT.
Dark souls wiki. Tells you EVERYTHING you want and need to know, almost everything.
Although loses some props for immediately deciding, "Fuck this."
sounds like a reference to rollercoaster tycoon
Xouls, come back to 24/7. We miss you.
3:48 Coolest Looking Backstabs Ever.
I love their determination.
ZenueG is a genuine hero
I sure as hell don't think that I could do it. I'm an average player at best. Someone like Lobos Jr. could pull it off, though. He's done challenges like going through the game with only a broken straight sword for a weapon and no armor.
So just a normal day in the forest
The laughing at 2:55 made me lose it.
Oh dear... Well, for the invaders, UNDEAD RAPPORT. They'll never know what hit em.
Please upload more videos after Dark Souls Remastered comes out
Now imagine if the world was cursed by a gravelord...
By Gwyn’s Bolts! My the sun shine on us all.
how many people do you think quit dark souls after being one-shot by a hollow
XD dude at the end was like "Fuck this shit, I'm out."
I want more of this. 4 minutes isn't enough. :(
oh shit, that last guy was pretty ballin.
Hey, this is a question unrelated to the video, but how do you backstab people running away? Are you able to go from sprinting immediately to a backstab, or do you have to stop sprinting at the right time and backstab?
A weapon from the Artorias of the Abyss DLC
I would love to see invasions with this guy that's pure skill sl1 vs sl120
Hollowed Warriors are meant to be easy, but I see people die to them a lot in this video! Besides, who'd expect those Phantoms to be such powerhouses? One might be confident and just try a classic Combustion spell on them, only to trade a single, deadly blow with them. The invaders won't know how beefed up they'll be. The element of SURPRISE NIGHTMARE MODE!
killing an invader gives you 10% of the souls required for them to level up.
