that's the weird thing though. they usually do listen to feedback and criticism like in kingdom especially, so i'm not sure what the deal is with this situation but i hope kingdom doesn't face a similar problem where it's "dying" and all that
I miss the old ingredients, especially that they made it easier to raise affection for certain Cookies. The Cookies would give hints on what they like and don’t like that may point to a certain ingredient (like if they like/dislike a certain color then there’s a sugar crystal which corresponds to it), and some Cookies don’t even have a unique ingredient of their own like the Dragons (they do now but my point still stands; it was fun pointing out the like and dislike hints).
Ikr.. I really liked how you could tell which color or element each cookie is tied to. I hope they bring it back. The new lab ingredients feel so inorganic now..
Ohh im so glad Im not the only one who noticed! I thought I was going crazy. Its very unintuitive now :,( I don't understand what we're supposed to give them.
Well one thing i found out is that if you give a cookie the magic candy ingredient of a cookie they have a good bond with, they will get bonus affection points! And also vice versa
Yeah!! I was trying to get Cauliflower's affection up, and i was on my way to being able to do it in just a week because i had the silver pouches. But then they did the update and i had to use the brown sugar crystals, which took ALMOST A MONTH. Because i was doing other stuff to try and power up other cookies. It really sucks!
I think the reason why the update is horrible is because DevSisters are probably paying more attention to Cookie Run Kingdom rather than paying equal attention to both. I mean, look at the updates in Cookie Run Kingdom. They literally have a BTS update going on right now. I religiously play Cookie Run Kingdom (because my best friend plays both Cookie Run Kingdom and Cookie Run Ovenbreak, and she recommended that I play Cookie Run Kingdom.) and love it but I don’t think this is fair. :,(
Like we literally get a BTS event just after a Disney event From looking at the wiki, Ovenbreak seems to have only gotten a Sanrio Hello Kitty event from 4 years ago
As a player who only played kingdom this is very sad to see for the ovenbreak players and I hope kingdom doesn't fall to this state as well because kingdom has been what devsisters been mainly focusing on ovenbreak haven't been getting the same love as kingdom recently
Man, I used to play this game daily and I started to play less and less since the release of the second legendary treasure (in fact I didn't get it) The last dragon themed update was my favorite and I wish they could do more with that story
@@scriptedtea are you talking about the labyrinth of memories? OH YEAH THAT ONE WAS SO GOOD, MAN I MISS THAT FORGET THE LAST DRAGON UPDATE, THE LABYRINTH OF MEMORIES, THAT IS MY FAVORITE
I stopped playing Ovenbreak earlier this year during the Timekeeper event because the paywall and grind got to be way too much and I could see the game going in an even worse way. Glad I left when I did, I love Cookie Run but I could just see all the signs of aggressive monetization creep on the horizon. Grinding for Timekeeper's magic candy ingredients broke me and my enjoyment of the game.
I MISS THE OLD ALCHEMY AND INGREDIENTS SO MUCH it was so much easier to raise affection and craft stuff, ESPECIALLY THE RAINBOW CUBES. Those are so hard to get already, and they just made it harder
I agree w the video. A simple fix would be to undo the diary (the new one if tedious and gives sooooo much less rewards) and either undo the lab or just take the cooldown off diamond sugar crystals, since they're practicly fundamental to every legend candy and the handy lab items
@@Bittermintz yeah true, even if it was kinda tedious to get the points, it was worth the rewards. Now we have to wait a multiple weeks to get a handful of cubes assuming you do all the missions every day
It wouldn't even be that bad to lessen the time on the diamond crystals. I'd be fine with 24 hours or something like that. I understand that they need to have some limits, but over 2 months for one level up on a legendary candy is too much.
Something i haven't seen a lot of people bring up is how HEAVY these recent updates are. My phone is pretty new yet it suffers crashes constantly. I tried it on an equally new device and it kept crashing too. Idk if its judt a me thing but the game was so smooth before the haunted school update?
Yeah it's been super bad. I had to quit after that update and lost my guild and position when I came back because I couldn't log in since that update. It still has trouble downloading files even worse than before and will fail 4/5 times
Topic 1-magic lab The previous magic lab was already simple enough. The ui was not hard to understand and it was more friendly As you said (which i agree) the method to get a legendary candy max is outrageous. And not also that but the new s tiers are unavailable to purchase even though previous recipes dont need them Example being cubes where you need 2 pale cube=1600 cubes but for the main ingredient you cant even buy them Topic 2- raid run It is a good gamemode imo but badly executed. As you said it used powders, i kept my powders and you need about 100k+ for focusing on 1 skill and the rewards just like you said are not even worth. The only thing that makes it worth is for the stupid rainbow crystals. They should make it more player friendly cause majority of their fanbase( ovenbreak ) dont even spend as much as whales( like an insane amount ) Devsis used to be known for being f2p friendly but i think now theyre somewhat taking it for granted by putting more p2w stuff. It makes people stray away from the game more. The point of anniversary is to make ppl come in. Once they know the hassle of obtaining stuff in the future, they may just quit in a month or 2 after playing. Cause they enter but dont stay at all Sinopsis: Magic lab renewal not good Raid run good but badly executed for new players New players may come but wont stay
Actually I left the game some months ago, not trying to encourage anyone to do so yet, but I did it because it asked a lot from me specifically time investing. For example, Breakout Runs taking about an hour for me (sometimes even more if I wanted all the monthly rewards). Not only that but Thropy Race also asked of me like an hour of my time, making decks choosing what’s best trying new comps in order to win, as well as adding the fail runs which I couldn’t avoid committing because the game mode was so freaking fast. And lastly the gacha Systems, to start of the Legendary Custome chance is impossible for me (not even one in more than a year of playing) I had to buy it. Secondly, soo little epic cookies, I don’t even have 30 maxed out in all this time, whereas half of my legendaries are maxed out. That is just unfair progress for newer players like me that got hooked to the game a while ago. As a resume, 2-3 hours used only to do dailies without even counting the current events running in the game. That’s so much time investment for me (it may not be much for others but for me is). Then gacha systems arre just broken, don’t serve any purpose other than to get you mad or buy it’s resources or hoard them like crazy. Lastly breakout has amazing rewards but honestly gameplay is so boring and repetitive, which is similar to majority of stages taking over 5min to complete. They just take so long. So yeah that’s why I left, unfair gacha conditions, too much time investments (from game modes and dailies) and boring or repetitive game modes with some exceptions of course. Until renovated for sure I won’t come back.
Yes, I remember already leaving the games 2 times before then coming back after playing for some months then the 6 anniversary came the only thing I like about the update was rainbow cube mines and the free jelly set but when I went to the laboratory ,I was traumatized I loved the old lab so much since it was simple , ingredients can be bought with powders easy and free 200 cubes and it help me get through parts of games. Also I don't do raid run cause Im lazy 😳,after all that I Still have the game and log in though but not so daily anymore 😅😭😭 Also my last costume gacha was bizarre so im keeping my rainbow stars for licorice new skin, I need one more star hopes for me to get it before the price turns 30 stars 😣
One of the issues I have with raid is how... Bad it's timing is. As in like, during the run, you get prompts to do something, collect bear jellies, rainbow jellies, etc to defend against the boss and knock them down. However, often times, you're about halfway or 3/4 the way through the part where you're doing the thing before the prompt suddenly ends, thus never allowing you a perfect unless you're in the process of a skill that'll help. And also done forget you have a cool down on GOLD crystals as well, so you have a cooldown on a cooldown.
THIS. First time I tried the raid there was the rainbow jelly prompt and there were literally none in the map up until near the end, of course by then it was too late so it failed. And I was like "what did you want me to do here game?!?"
@@Sing.about.chocolate and a detail, you can beat an patapon desert level in less time than a raid run, SERIUSLY, just compare an raid run match with the patapon "creatures of the sand" level
ESPECIALLY with the jump quests: sometimes if you're trying to jump the whole time once you get the prompt, you could end up falling and having to use diamonds to revive.
Ive been getting confused as to why CRK has been adding Running game modes like ovenbreak, and now i see they’re adding battle games modes to ovenbreak. A part of me feels like they’re wanting to get rid of ovenbreak, probably me being nuts but its been odd. And ive been wanting to get back into ovenbreak this is heartbreaking
my tablet broke right before the Poison Mushroom Cookie update and was very sad cuz this is the only game I actually put effort into (had it since 2018 I reckon). after watching this video I think it's death was a warning or something lol. really dodged a bullet here cuz seeing these changes makes me kinda sad :/ really hope devsis actually do something tho, the game doesn't deserve such treatment towards its fanbase.
Unfortunately, no fandom is safe from drama and toxicity no matter how good, wholesome and happy the product is. Look at Steven Universe and Animal Crossing. They’re also great things that bring comfort yet have messed up fanbases that have a history of fans harassing each other or even the staff just like Cookie Run.
1. shreded all the items we had and changed 2. Literally nerfed every rewards from last anniversary events 3. More BMs 4. Now it takes half a year just to max 1 legendary magic candy??? (30 dia sugar crys) 11 legendaries x6 month : 5 years and a half?????? Previous Raid run had no skills, aka less Bm. it was also shorter, more rewards. and save roses is so stupid. at the first stream, COOKIERUN manager, cm rose had NO idea what the game is about, + she once said in the stream "Why are you guys staying in the game when we are telling to leave or spend the money on?", and using the devsisters company is in a deficit, because the "deadcide club" devsis are making failed miserably.
I stopped playing the game before the hospital event. Before that, I had a small hiatus and when I returned to the game, Devsisters had already changed the design of the interface. Since then, I tried 5 times to return to the game, to find events that I would like thematically and characters, but everything was in vain. The circus event (and the cookie juggler) and detective events will forever remain my most favorite events. Competitive mechanics WITHOUT TOP and challenge, as well as the presence of Cinnamon cookies made it perfect. Back to latest updates. IMHO The main reason for Ovenbreak's imminent death is not so much the developers' focus on Kingdom (after all, they produce at least some content for Ovenbreak), but the lack of some sort of lore systematization in OB. Correct me if I'm wrong (because I quit OB a long time ago and don't follow the plot), but the lore of OB and Kingdom do not intersect. In OB we have witches against mages, DE and Co (is she Lily or not???) against Moonlight Cookie, Milk and Jam Cookie's adventures in search of Dark Cocoa, which is the prince of some unknown thing, Dragons, Knight and Princess, who is also a princess is also unclear what. There is Yogurka, the City of Wizards, Sugartear and, accordingly, the Kingdom of Cookies(!!!) itself. And in parallel with this we have cyberpunk from Aloe, Wasabi and Bellpepper, and metropolis from Sour Belt and Sandwich Cookies. It feels like OB has become a draft for Kingdom. All the interesting storylines they started (Dark Cocoa, wizards, DE atrocity plots) just went nowhere. Why can't they finally make a normal map of the world in Cookie Trials and somehow explain it, fit it into the world? The story about the confrontation of witches and magicians was no worse than the plot with Lilly Cookie, and the trailer for the game "three in a row", which showed the silhouette of a witch, could be a good help to simplify and advance the plot of the OB. Explain how geography works and the current state of the world / planet (given the existence of donut cookie), and everything will be cool. I am NOT saying that the mix of modern technology and medieval magical setting is bad. Vice versa. A great example of the mix of these two things, plus a great plottwist, plus a good example of a self-sert with a lore explanation is the (also korean) game Guardian Tales. The plot of this game is too good(If you haven't played yet, I highly recommend it. The plot is worthy of a Game Theory video), which is why the Devs' inaction annoys me so much. It's such a wasted potential. Kong Studio didn't just take the concepts and characters from their old closed game Dungeon Link and give them a different story(Guardian Tales). They incorporated them into the lore of the new game, showing that everything they had done before WAS NOT USELESS. The DL has never been and never will be a draft like the OB is. Because the Kongs equally cared about the integrity of the lore of this "universe", although the DL looked simple and banal in terms of plot. Kingdom looks like a late child who is spoiled and parents try not to make mistakes in education, which were made with OB. But for the public it looks like cruelty to the first child.
Your points about the series’s lore in general make so much sense. They’re the reason I’m working on a massive fanfic project to rewrite the franchise’s story as a whole (though I’ve been slacking off lately due to school and how much work needed to be done XD), it just feels nonsensical and had a lot of wasted potential 😔
Holy shit, this is bad. That sugar crystal thing...I never played Cookie Run but play CRK and this is bad for all. If they can do this to CR, they will definitely do it to their other games. Their wait times are already kind of shitty imo so to make it that bad is insane. They are trying to force engagement/investment and a mix of frustration to coax people into spending money. Stuff like this, especially f2p will be driven away from systems like this. Thanks for making this video, didn't know how bad the CR update was. I saw a few posts on twitter upset but this gives depth. I hope the outcry against it makes devsisters pull back or they will essentially destroy their games... Also, thank you for explaining the SaveRose hashtag. Seen it alot but no context. What a shitty thing for devsisters to do.
CRK also has these problems for example. The castle upgrade, it takes at least a month or more than that to upgrade it and not to mention the game keeps crashing because of these updates One update after the other. It's annoying like at least let there be a break I hope CRK doesn't have more problems in the future because I've been playing that game for almost two years now
@@squaredonuts9706 True, I an currently trying to get my castle to lvl 13 and that upgrade takes like 9 days or more and that is crazy. Expanding land panels have ridiculous times like that too. Skipping the time cost too many gems too so it's just a brutal waiting game. I noticed a lot of issues after the BTS event launched, I hope they fix everything too. If they care for keeping their Ling term players there's a lot they have to do.
also it's so stupid that you can't join other players' parties without an invite. like i have to choose either snake fruit cookie to get a good score, or vampire cookie to at least survive till the end so the raid doesn't automatically fail because i have to be the party leader every single time.
not only that, but also because of one of the updates that had a truckload of SWANA references…many people stopped supporting Devsisters until the next update
Its been a few months since i've started playing CROB again, and honestly, Im kind of disappointed. Almost everything changed. The new way of obtaining new cookies is so annoying. I really miss the chests. Most of my cookies are low level, so in cookies trails i cant go up in rank and i cant get those stupid stars, and if i cant get the stars i cant get new cookies. And its kind of hard to get diamonds to pay the cookies. More then ever now, with the Paradise test update, where the new mechanic is that you on almost every game mode will get this yellow stars, and with those you will pay everything: Diamonds, rainbow cubes, new limited costumes, legendarys and so on so on. You cant even get guild coins anymore. At first you will get a lot of those yellow stars, but when time goes on you will get a lower amount. Now you just have to farm and farm. Honestly, i really miss old Cookie run, it was more simple and more enjoyable. I really agree with you
I stopped playing Ovenbreak probably about a year ago now, as I found it too hard to keep up with all the new gimmicks and updates. While I do miss getting to see cute new cookies and stories, I think they might have been starting to run out of ideas to keep the game fresh without changing it in a way people don’t like. I was already starting to see a decline later into my playing experience as they kept adding strange new play modes and some cookies that were really a miss for me. I hope they can fix their mistakes both in the game and in the way they respond to the community.
Been a ovenbreak players since it's release, I'm losing interest with ovenbreak because of the changes they made recently. And now I'm more into kingdom rather than ovenbreak. Hopefully kingdom doesn't turned like ovenbreak too.
I quit ovenbreak after the rebel cookie update, I noticed the game got way more difficult and grindy, it was taking up a good part of my day to grind everything, and it barely felt rewarding, now I realized it wasn't that bad compared to how it got, I hope devsisters decides to revert these awful changes soon.
I canceled my royal subscription because of this update, I'm not planning on paying for anything else from now on. I got tired of predatory practices and tonedeaf devs.
I played both kingdom and ovenbreak for about a year, only to drop out of kingdom because it was so overwhelming and a chore to keep up with (plus not as engaging in gameplay) I really loved ovenbreak more because it was a lot of fun, and I even got to the highest rank in trophy run (before being immediately out of it because I didn’t want to pay 30 dollars for timekeeper lol) I was already having so many issues w the game back then and that was just the update right after candlelight’s release (who is my favorite still) because of how much of an issue that power creep had become, and how the predatory side of the game somehow multiplied in the relatively short time I played (I started when starfruit was added) In keeping up with this game through UA-cam and such, I’ve only seen the money side get greedier and worse, and the events getting worse by far. But honestly? The mistreatment of their employees is what disgusts me the most. To have two people basically suffering from awful exec decisions on top of being forced to be the face of the game at all times is beyond cruel, especially when you’re content in letting this game slowly die, while you wring out as much money as possible. I don’t play many mobile games, especially not after being so involved in kingdom and ovenbreak, and I think I’m just tired of these games being a focus of money and being a “live service” instead of looking at what mobile devices are capable of.
The game has been going down hill for years now they keep trying to cram in a new mechanic to get us to spend money like the cards and now ability’s. The new laboratory is completely outrageous locking ingredient crafting behind time walls makes no sense. Let’s not forget that they use to have events where you could get whole max level free cookies. Oven break just seems to be lacking any meaningful content and what is done is anti already existing fan base.
I feel like devsisters are trying to shoo ovenbreak players away from the game and move to kingdom like yeah kingdom gained alot of players and money but cmon devs crob was one of the originals
I. Have. So. Many. Issues with ovenbreak as of now. I have so so many but i just wanna say them all here just to get this off my mind yknow. 1. Ingredients, magic powder, and laboratory related stuff, i hate how they got rid of most of the Ingredients, i miss being able to raise affection higher, and magic powder is so hard to get now, also like you mentioned, i hate the laboratory update. 2. Friendly run has been gone for like a year now?? I really miss it as thats one of my main memories when i started playing ovenbreak. 3. The cookie/pet gavha update. OH MY GOD I HATE IT SO MUCH. I miss the gacha and mileage cause getting legendaries was easier but now i have to pay like 5938828284926 crystals to level them up. Also doing trials is so much harder because you need the pet and cookie to even do their trials?? Like its so stupid. 4. Legendary treasures. Theyre really good but theyre so annoying and hard to get, theyre always recommended in EVERY combi, AND I DONT EVEN HAVE ANY. And 5. The fact that EVERYTHING is so expensive now, everything costs crystals at this point, its just becoming so p2w and i hate it so much. I really only made this comment because i want to know if anyone else agrees or jjst has any other ideas worth bringing up
My live reaction in this video from someone who has played this game for a very long time. 1. 0:34 I wanted to LIKE this update, I really do. It's just...the idea was there but the execution, is so terrible. I've never seen an update so disliked by the community since the Invocation Card at the start of Season 6. 2. 0:54 Do you know what make me hate this change to the Laboratory? The fact that we can't see Magic Candies anymore. We have to select the cookies that we haven't maxed out their candy and then, use the Magic Powder to purchase the materials needed. 3. 1:33 I feel bad for you, my friend. It brings me back to the time where the community is trying so hard to find Timekeeper's Material (the item on the left) in her trial. One member in the community run her trial 172 times, and only manages to find 2 of Timekeeper's Material. Oh yeah, that was also the time where Devsisters decided that it was a good idea to put her at GCL Round 3. At the time where she receive a buff on one of the updates in Season 6. I think it's called Save the Future Update (CMIIW). That was a time that the community will never forget. For those of you who didn't play this game, GCL is the hardest event in the entire game. 4. 3:35 The chest that you open is the Epic Chest. It takes 6-9 hours to open it (I don't remember precisely how long that chest can be opened,) but yeah. Two days to opening up a Chest is WAY too long, regardless if the chest is Legendary. 5. 3:41 You know what is the best thing? The fact that Legendary Chest only has 10 Gems XD I wait 2 WHOLE DAYS TO GET 10 GEMS XD This update is so baaaaaaaddddd XD 6. 4:21 I wonder who in Devsisters decided to change the daily system to the diary system that we have right now. And who authorized that. Because those people need to be held accountable. No, the ENTIRE company needs to be held accountable for that change alone. Especially to those people who decided that "this change is a good idea." 7. 4:41 This is one of the two things that is good in this update. Such a shame that this got overshadowed by the bad things in this update. 8. 5:45 So, here is what went down on now the deleted livestream (any details that I missed, please comment down below.) Rose was playing Raid Run (I think that she played without Mic Mac at that time, CMIIW). And she wasn't good at playing it. She didn't know how to use Snake Fruit's ability (she was using Snake Fruit in Raid Run at that time). The live chat tells Rose how to use Snake Fruit's ability. However, she ignored the people in live chat. Then, people started to donate to her about how to use Snake Fruit's ability. Once again, she ignored all of them. I'm not quite sure what happens between at this point and when she suffered from panic attack. Not only Rose suffered from panic attack during the now deleted livestream, she suffered from mental breakdown as well. It was during this time, when she had mental breakdown, that she insulted the Korean Community, and defended Devsisters. I'm not quite sure what she said (because I can't speak Korean), but it was along the terms of "You guys have too much pride." It sounds not offensive for us, who are outside of Korea, but people there considered that as an insult and that is where people sent d34th thr34ds onto her. Her mental breakdown was so bad, that she even had the idea to quit working from Devsisters entirely, but the upper echelons convinced her to stay. A few days later, people found out that the livestream itself got deleted, and it was revealed (in Reddit, if I'm not mistaken), that it was Rose who deleted the livestream on the instructions from the upper echelons. That didn't help the situation and here we are right now. 9. 8:21 I sincerely hoped that Devsisters is going to listen to the community once more. And I hope that this is not going to be "The Drama that break community apart." We had that when Devsisters decieded to support use NFTs in the future (which thankfully, that was cancelled for now.) And that is it from me, and thanks for reading this entire comment from start to finish.
Oh no poor Rose :c And I agree with you, I started playing this game like 3 years ago and now it feels like a chore Also I only can play the raid with a friend cause alone I always loose and is super frustrating you got nothing after 15min of playing
Damn, I’ve been really busy with uni, I used to play almost daily but since the rebel cookie update I haven’t really played as I used to, last time I played was to see how mushroom cookie’s trial was, but watching this really makes me not want to play it again, specially the laboratory update, ever since they removed the reward system for daily/weekly/monthly missions it’s been feeling quite off, I miss those days, it feels like it’s slowly stopping to be a game where you didn’t needed to make in-game purchases to have good upgrades :(
I mostly play kingdom (I used to play CROB but got bored after a while) and this is sad. WHY, everyone liked the old magic lab. It was simple enough to understand. Devsisters are VERY generous in CRK.
This update sucks. The rewards sucks they're really ready bad no body liked the update. And the worst is in the magic laboratory where you have to wait 14 days I think for the diamond thingy I mean like a hundred forty days for a magic candy oh hell no Edit: it was 7 days
hi! this video is great and your points are so well explained and heard. i have a few thoughts: this is going to sound cliche but i feel like devsisters is purposefully making these complications and “simplifications” to drive out the player base to kingdom- a better game making better money with a “better” story. to me, it feels like they’re pushing out the final last updates and just getting things out for contents sake but the passion for ovenbreak is lost. it’s not as it was before, and kingdom sent it downhill. for the few passionate veteran players, which, those numbers are fading even now, it’s getting ruined! i haven’t played in awhile but i can’t believe they recycled tower of waves >_
I did quit playing a few months ago cause it was generally boring (and I wanted to save data space) I was gonna re-download it but it seems I’ll just stay in cookie run kingdom
I hope the make a change. Cause I'm afraid a lot of players are gonna leave!! It's honestly a good game but because of the bad update a lot of players would get mad or something ya I hope Devsisters will notice about this
Okay, I must be crazy and playing the game wrong or something. I have been haveing a fun time with the game and the update, so it sucks that so many people arn't. I hope devsisters does somthing to make everyone happy and fixes the problems. oof
fr, you could buy magic candy materials with gems which was so good for me bc i could easily level it up, now its gone and i have to farm my ass to level it up
All of the changes in the game could be really interesting, if done right- which they're not. This might just be me, but I've *never* been able to beat a raid boss; I spent nearly all of my gems in one run trying to get a higher score, only to get absolutely nothing cause we weren't able to beat it in the end. I know I'm just venting at this point, but I love this game and just want it to be the best it can be, but I've been getting constantly burnt out from playing it because of how difficult it's been to get into it with the most recent updates
Honestly devsis should've kept the old lab. The old lab was where you had to get an ingredient from the breakout shop (or anything else) (I don't remember the names) And then after you had a certain amount of that ingredient (and some sugar crystals) you could craft it, wasn't really a problem for me. The sugar crystals were kinda cheap. But the new lab? It's just messed up. The diamond sugar crystals literally take 1 WHOLE WEEK to craft. Plus, Cookies would give you hints of what they like and what they don't like. Ex: Lychee Dragon Cookie likes the Ancient Cookie Chest and dislikes the Bent Silver Key. But the new update? For the other cookies you could get hints of what they like from their relationship chart. But longan dragon? He's tension with everyone else in his relationship chart except for the dragons. AND THE DRAGONS DONT EVEN HAVE A MAGIC CANDY.
I do hope they'll fix the issues that Ovenbreak is currently having but I'm not totally sure they will. And if they do it will be later down the line. A lot of the changes seem like Devsis didn't fully test them out before adding them, and wanted to add unnecessary changes for the sake of doing so rather thank thinking it through. But they've been focused on Kingdom way more because it's more popular, so they might not even really fix anything or only make minor changes.
One of the reason I dropped the game is because they release/buff legendaries stuff way too often now giving f2p players no time to catch up at all with the whale in the meta. And this is a pvp centric game too where it’s important to make it at least feel balanced and give the f2ps a chance against the whale and not just lose every time because just they don’t have their maxed legendary cookies, legendary pet and now legendary treasures. One of the main reason I dropped trophy race first before dropping the game entirely. Before I could still manage to grind to max the legendaries whenever they get released/buffed but now they get released so often I’d only get them to like lvl 10 before they release another one. The only thing that kept me playing the game was because of my high lvl account that has 70% of the things maxed out and also FOMO. I didn’t spend a single cent on the game so really hate missing out on the events’ free crystals. But now it just becomes way way too much of a grind , even the event and I just can’t be bothered with it.
i didnt realize crob was dying until i went to my guild and saw nobody playing, and the guild leader was sad about that. but it only started happening after the bts crossover came out. crk has been having collabs with sonic, disney, and bts?! meanwhile the only collab that i remember was the one with hello kitty and all you got was 2 crossover characters. one was completely free, and the other you had to play through the event to get them. tl;dr guild leader got sad bc nobody played crob had a pretty bad collab crk has cooler ones
I literally couldn't understand shit about the update everything got me confused, I had like.. 3 "period" of me playing a lot and then just... "poof" out of existence. And now, well it's once again a new period of me not being able to get into the game especially because of all the news coming to my face and you have so much things to do for whatever the hell- It's just so confusing and I just have the feeling it's just a bunch of crap. Not even the tower of frozen waves (which I loved.) can't bring me back to the game.
agree with all my heart. Spent almost all my powders on leveling up those skills, and i thought those purple raid chests are gonna give at least like, 10 skill gems. But NO. just 1 gem. JUST. ONE. 30 mins unlocking for these crumbs?? That made me feel so, SO scammed. Also the new sugar crystal system is just plain bullcrap. Old ones maybe were a bit of a pain to get, but at least their story and the cookies' respond upon receiving them is interesting. Not to mention them hiding behind CMs like cowards, Devsis what in the godamn hell-
The new lab sucks. I mean, the lab was already pretty easy, only they simplified it a lot more, and in a totally poorly executed way being rotten and pathetic to use. An example of what could be good is the special key craft, it's really good to have that, but in a rotten way to use it?? nah i hate that - I apologized for the bad UI, but this? This is shit, not a game I'd spend my time for rotten rewards, now this is a daily prison At 9am I open the game, play 2-3 times, then close it, after 5-9 hours later I open and play 2-3 times and this is my tedious looping, I hate, I hate this update, the most awaited update in the game, a Buff everyone has been waiting for for years! It ended up being a sad end Even me, I asked my friend who started playing to stop playing, because the thing was really bad, it's not worth recommending CROB for new players who won't stay long. I've been hearing that Raid Run was already good, with the Melon Cookie release thing (I'm from the Fashion Week Banner, I can't say if it really was) AND ALSO, THE END OF TREASURE TRIALS, THAT WAS A FULL SHIT THEY DID I hate this.
I feel like they're trying to make Ovenbreak players more interested in Kingdom by implementing features that are more similar to the other game (I suspect because they make more money on Kingdom). Devsisters *does* listen to users, but they typically don't fix big mistakes like this until the next legit big update (like with the invocation cards and everything that happened with those updates). They will fix small things like bugs, but I think an entire event or system like this could be game breaking (it would also take sometime to redo the coding, I imagine). I also feel like they keep trying new (and unnecessary) things because they're trying to get the user base more active and interested in the game again. They're actually able to see how well people participate in things like the different modes and supposedly those dropping numbers have been the reason behind various changes. Some changes I like or don't mind, and others just make me miss old features. I really miss champion's league the way it used to be with special maps you'd make a selected combi for and compete for high scores rather than another trophy race, but I also really like that they give you the chance to get a new costume and jelly set from the prize points of trophy race (I wish they could do both). One feature that I miss from the really old game is that each cookie when fully upgraded had their own special treasure, and there were also some more common cookies I haven't seen added that I'd like too (I think maybe a back to basics update could help them). I would also love to see them do and kinda need them to do another update for special potions (the yellow ones for special cookies) and maybe something for special treasures too, because I have the Hello Kitty 'cookies' and various treasures that are sitting there, unupgraded, while almost everything else is maxed out. But my biggest gripe right now is the stupid amount of coins I have that I have no way of getting rid of, and the number just keeps getting bigger. I'm up to well over 400,000,000, just hoping for an exchange system, special costumes you buy with an obscene amount of coins, SOMETHING, because who even needs this many???
I stopped playing OvenBreak because it simply took up too much space on my phone, around 5GB if I recall? I fell out of love when Devsisters started to add legendary treasures and the fact that it became way too grindy. I like to play games casually and still be able to obtain all event rewards but it seems like you cannot do that anymore with OvenBreak.
I knew this game would not last and that makes me scared for Crk and I feel like Crk will fall to the same thing☹️ I used to love this game when I first started playing it and this update ruined it for me kingdom is still good tho and o hope it will stay good but I have a feeling it will get worse 😞
I played Cookie Run since 2018!!! But as time goes on with the updates, add-ons and lotsa packages and paywall stuff. I am getting less interested :'( I missed it back where it was simple and kinda easy to understand, but there are lot of things added. I don't mind new game modes but they needed to be executed nicely. Just that the updates has been getting overwhelming to me lately that I slowly stopped ToT
You definitely put the majorities thoughts into words pretty well . However I really would like to say that the whole #SaveRose thing is more of our fault for getting so aggressive about the recent updates . Yes they need to do better I honestly am upset with how bad this update is bc of the fact it was supposed to be Millennial Tree's big update , I felt the same way about Fire Spirit's as well and was really upset that he didn't even have any involvement in the story . But we really need to do better as a community and give Devsisters a break about the updates , we should still make it clear that we expected more and really would like for them to step up their game with the story writing and taking into consideration how the community would feel about certain changes . But we don't need to be excessive about it , I know a lot of people in this community who get really negative and say some awful things just because of an update . We as a community should do better
It’s the same with crk the game has become less popular and less liked due to the game becoming insanely p2w. In every area you basically need good cookies but the game makes you pay for most of them, like in the moonlight, stardust, and capsaicin Gacha. Unless your lucky exp3ct to have to pay in order to be able to get those cookies. And when u do get the cookies there not even good due to you having to pay to promote them.
This is very sad to hear, especially since I haven't been playing it alot lately. Nothing has been speaking to me and I find it hard to want to play it sometimes. Events are a big reason players come back, and this event? Is not worth coming back to. Along with that labatory thing and the way they changed alot of little other things, that needed no changing.
Yeah they getting real greedy. One thing i havent seen people talking about is the ads on kingdom, i mean yeah its not that bad but theyre ads IN A GACHA GAME even a good gacha game and yet they still do this
I remember playing this years ago. Now it's just SO MUCH WORSE than it was before. Wish there was a way to undo all the shitty updates. Maybe then the game would actually be worth everybody's time. Worst for me is that I remember actually having a lot of fun on CRO, a shame to see how bad it is now.
i used to play ovenbreak very frequently until i lost interest few months ago because of the changes that were made. they became so hectic now and like someone has said in the comments, it became more of a daily chore than a fun game
Not only that, but a lot of players (me included) experience ton of lags and crashes. I can’t even play stupid raid run normally because of the game crashing problem. Not only do I screw things for other players for being yeeted out of the game but I also experience this “cooldown repercussions” for those who are leaving intentionally:( And the thing is, that I haven’t experienced crashes EVER before this year season 7 update I guess?? Like my game was working perfectly fine. Lots of people complain about the same thing on appstore and in social media communities, damn, even here in the comments.
yeah i wont lie right now the whole game and the way everything going is bad and all i can hope is that maybe another update or something can be fixed for the next update or so
I haven’t played the current cookie run but I remember the early 2010s original Oven Break and how much fun it was, as well as a couple of Devsisters’ other old games from that time. Get That Mish holds a dear place in my heart a whole decade after its shutdown, I hope they’ll bring it back one day since it has such a successful game, I think current day CR/ mobile game in general players would love GTM.
I’ve only played kingdom, but you mentioned how long it takes to save up certain things and I’ve noticed that lots of things take a really really long time in kingdom. I’ve nver played a game where an expansion would take 2!!?? Days? And I’ve heard that the castle upgrades can take months?? That would be ok if it didn’t require a limited resources (sugar gnomes). I really like the game and I feel like dev sisters have been helpful in problems in kingdom, like fixing the bts event 😭 cause it was impossible to get a good score for a while. I hope they fix things in oven break soon!
I definitely still like CR but i am really pissed that they decided to do this. I really hope this was a testing thing and that they look at all the responses to it to fix it.
Brace for impact. It's probably going to get even worse when they'll release their new PC game. If they can't really manage 2 games, I don't see how they could manage 3. Anyway, with updates getting bigger and bigger in size, and apps lagging/crashing like crazy, I'll probably have to stop playing sooner than later. Still, sad to see the current state of a game that both my daughter and I were enjoying sine the LINE version.
Devsis hates feedback. I got blocked by the CRK twitter by asking why the BAD4 costumes weren't on rate up once for like, 5-6 tweets in a row. They do not tweet regularly. I wasn't spamming them with 20 reply tweets (just one reply per tweet), I didn't go to their DMs, I wasn't even the only one asking why there was no rate up, I was also getting a fair bit of likes on my replies. The problem was probably the person running the account literally cannot act upon it, they're not responsible for anything that gets added into the game, and they didn't want to be the punching bag for the "hate" of the update. Honestly, ever since the BTS collab started, Devsisters probably feels like they're too big to fail, so they can do whatever they want and use the community managers and SM account admins as earplugs for the criticism/feedback. It's disgusting.
Ever since the UI update things have been going downhill. Why does the game just look so bad now? In "simplification" it feels so much more confusing. The only thing im enjoying now as an OG Ovenbreak player is the new cookies, and even then they're feeling a bit lacklustre.
Since i dont play oven break I'm having a hard time understanding the video, but I do understand your points. making oversimplified changes is REALLY annoying for games and usually the reason behind them is companies think they are going to make more money or whatever. But I think I know the reason behind why oven break is getting so crappy, Since Crk is newer and more popular they might be focusing more towards that game, since I play Crk I can expand on this more: Crk is sort of a combat based game with a lot of frequent updates as well (There is usally a new cookie every month or so) The game has also had two collabs with Disney(Finished) and BTS(Still on going), so it is just reeling in money right now. I'm sorry for the oven break players who feel as if they are losing a fun game, it really sucks, but i dont recommend Crk if you like oven break as they are completely different games. (I swear i didnt mean to type this much lol)
I don’t even understand what they’re doing because things like limiting ingredient creation in the laboratory isn’t even avoidable by paying with crystals so you just HAVE to wait 7 days everytime and devsisters doesn’t even make money out of annoying players like this… makes no damn sense juste like most of the new things they included in this latest update
Aw. I used to play this game alot and i loved it i stopped playing and months later i started playing Crk but i havent been on crk for awhile aswell. I’m very sad to hear ovenbreak is not doing well.
I really miss it. I wanna go back time and play this game for 24 hours straight. And I wish for an acc like yours I'm gonna subscribe because it's so true
Something that really upsets me, it's not new, but it's how hard you have to work to get rainbow cubes for costumes. You only get them as random rewards for events but even then there's not a lot, about 100-300 at a time. And the ad has such bad rates, I've only gotten the 500 once in the last three months I've played. I had to grind the new characters' levels and candies to win rainbow, but if I didn't in time? No 1000 cubes for me! I wish they weren't so hard to get, and I wish the mine came back as a permanent thing.
unfortunately, I do think that devsis is becoming greedy :( I'm f2p player, who's spent the occasional dollar on rainbow cubes, and I've genuinely enjoyed the game for years. but with every update the game seems to be changing into a "pay to play" game. the gameplay keeps changing, the event rewards become much harder to achieve and many times are not even worth it, the items become more expensive and harder to get, etc. I left the game around 3 months ago to focus on school, and while I still enjoyed it, I had begun to grow exhausted by it even though it used to be a fun way to relax. I was anticipating downloading it again but as time goes on, the game only seems to be getting worse and what happened with rose was awful. I understand that there may be more to situation and that devsis may have been unaware of the pressure rose was facing, but it's really sad to see they haven't addressed it when she's such an important part of the experience and connection to the fans.

"we listen to the fans"
the biggest betrayal in history
that's the weird thing though. they usually do listen to feedback and criticism like in kingdom especially, so i'm not sure what the deal is with this situation but i hope kingdom doesn't face a similar problem where it's "dying" and all that
@@nyacchiatos as far as i can see over break is just not that fun anymore 😔 the lab just throws me completely off now :/

THANK YOU i was grinding tk affection when this update dropped and i can't give them the 15 point ingredient anymore D':
Like we literally get a BTS event just after a Disney event
From looking at the wiki, Ovenbreak seems to have only gotten a Sanrio Hello Kitty event from 4 years ago

Grinding for Timekeeper's magic candy ingredients broke me and my enjoyment of the game.

FR; taking guessing on what cookies like and don’t like based on hints was a lot of fun.
I agree w the video. A simple fix would be to undo the diary (the new one if tedious and gives sooooo much less rewards) and either undo the lab or just take the cooldown off diamond sugar crystals, since they're practicly fundamental to every legend candy and the handy lab items
I liked that i could actually choose my rewards in the old diary i had so many unused points :(
@@Bittermintz yeah true, even if it was kinda tedious to get the points, it was worth the rewards.

I know online games eventually shut down but at the very least I want to see OvenBreak go out with a bang, not a whimper.
Topic 1-magic lab
The previous magic lab was already simple enough. The ui was not hard to understand and it was more friendly
As you said (which i agree) the method to get a legendary candy max is outrageous. And not also that but the new s tiers are unavailable to purchase even though previous recipes dont need them
Example being cubes where you need 2 pale cube=1600 cubes but for the main ingredient you cant even buy them
Topic 2- raid run
It is a good gamemode imo but badly executed.
As you said it used powders, i kept my powders and you need about 100k+ for focusing on 1 skill and the rewards just like you said are not even worth. The only thing that makes it worth is for the stupid rainbow crystals.
They should make it more player friendly cause majority of their fanbase( ovenbreak ) dont even spend as much as whales( like an insane amount )
Devsis used to be known for being f2p friendly but i think now theyre somewhat taking it for granted by putting more p2w stuff.
It makes people stray away from the game more. The point of anniversary is to make ppl come in. Once they know the hassle of obtaining stuff in the future, they may just quit in a month or 2 after playing.
Cause they enter but dont stay at all
Sinopsis:
Magic lab renewal not good
Raid run good but badly executed for new players
New players may come but wont stay
Also I don't do raid run cause Im lazy 😳,after all that I Still have the game and log in though but not so daily anymore 😅😭😭
Also my last costume gacha was bizarre so im keeping my rainbow stars for licorice new skin, I need one more star hopes for me to get it before the price turns 30 stars 😣
raid run is just spelunking but 10x worse
@@Iaminferno_bg is pokemon go raids but 10 ttimes worse
Glad i retired crob
So i didnt experience all of this bad update
@@Sing.about.chocolate and a detail, you can beat an patapon desert level in less time than a raid run, SERIUSLY, just compare an raid run match with the patapon "creatures of the sand" level
before the second(?) update to raid run i would be playing a run and just fail before the raid was even finished. wtf was that.

And I really wanted Poison mushroom too 🙃
This drama almost made me cry myself. I already was concerned about the nft situation.. I thought I was in a happy community.
New laboratory stinks and I can't craft rainbow cubes anymore with crystals.
And maxing magic candies for legendary cookies become too hard now.
1. shreded all the items we had and changed
2. Literally nerfed every rewards from last anniversary events
3. More BMs
4. Now it takes half a year just to max 1 legendary magic candy??? (30 dia sugar crys)
11 legendaries x6 month : 5 years and a half??????
Previous Raid run had no skills, aka less Bm. it was also shorter, more rewards.
and save roses is so stupid. at the first stream, COOKIERUN manager, cm rose had NO idea what the game is about, + she once said in the stream "Why are you guys staying in the game when we are telling to leave or spend the money on?", and using the devsisters company is in a deficit, because the "deadcide club" devsis are making failed miserably.
At least cm micmac is trying
I stopped playing the game before the hospital event. Before that, I had a small hiatus and when I returned to the game, Devsisters had already changed the design of the interface. Since then, I tried 5 times to return to the game, to find events that I would like thematically and characters, but everything was in vain. The circus event (and the cookie juggler) and detective events will forever remain my most favorite events. Competitive mechanics WITHOUT TOP and challenge, as well as the presence of Cinnamon cookies made it perfect.
Back to latest updates.
IMHO
The main reason for Ovenbreak's imminent death is not so much the developers' focus on Kingdom (after all, they produce at least some content for Ovenbreak), but the lack of some sort of lore systematization in OB.
But for the public it looks like cruelty to the first child.
correction: KINGDOM IS AN OVENBREAK SPINOFF
Your points about the series’s lore in general make so much sense. They’re the reason I’m working on a massive fanfic project to rewrite the franchise’s story as a whole (though I’ve been slacking off lately due to school and how much work needed to be done XD), it just feels nonsensical and had a lot of wasted potential 😔

I really hope ovenbreak doesn't die! A lot of my favorites are ob exclusive and I'm not sure if my phone can even run kingdom.
As someone who grinded for time keeper's magic candy before the update, I was a lucky bastard
I’ve loved ovenbreak, more so than cookie run kingdom, it’s such a shame it’s been treated this way by devsisters :(
Tbh the only good thing here is the rainbow cubes mines also poor cm rose she didnt deserve the hate #saverose
And the tower of frozen waves
Aaaaand it's gone :')
I canceled my royal subscription because of this update, I'm not planning on paying for anything else from now on. I got tired of predatory practices and tonedeaf devs.
im a kingdom player, i tried ovenbreak but it wasnt for me. this video was very explicative even for people who have no idea about the game
I played both kingdom and ovenbreak for about a year, only to drop out of kingdom because it was so overwhelming and a chore to keep up with (plus not as engaging in gameplay)
I really loved ovenbreak more because it was a lot of fun, and I even got to the highest rank in trophy run (before being immediately out of it because I didn’t want to pay 30 dollars for timekeeper lol)
I was already having so many issues w the game back then and that was just the update right after candlelight’s release (who is my favorite still) because of how much of an issue that power creep had become, and how the predatory side of the game somehow multiplied in the relatively short time I played (I started when starfruit was added)
In keeping up with this game through UA-cam and such, I’ve only seen the money side get greedier and worse, and the events getting worse by far.
As someone who quit both games about a year ago, this is pretty sad, even though I don’t play cookie run ovenbreak and kingdom that often.
I. Have. So.
I really only made this comment because i want to know if anyone else agrees or jjst has any other ideas worth bringing up
I've promoted this video to my community, everyone needs to see this.
I just started playing the game again and I was confused on where some of my ingredients went, and now I’m infuriated 😂
This video just informed me about the panick attack that rose had. I am super shocked I hope that she’s ok❤
My live reaction in this video from someone who has played this game for a very long time.

I wanted to LIKE this update, I really do. It's just...the idea was there but the execution, is so terrible. I've never seen an update so disliked by the community since the Invocation Card at the start of Season 6.
2. 0:54
Do you know what make me hate this change to the Laboratory? The fact that we can't see Magic Candies anymore. We have to select the cookies that we haven't maxed out their candy and then, use the Magic Powder to purchase the materials needed.
3. 1:33
I feel bad for you, my friend.
4. 3:35
The chest that you open is the Epic Chest. It takes 6-9 hours to open it (I don't remember precisely how long that chest can be opened,) but yeah. Two days to opening up a Chest is WAY too long, regardless if the chest is Legendary.
5. 3:41
You know what is the best thing? The fact that Legendary Chest only has 10 Gems XD
I wait 2 WHOLE DAYS TO GET 10 GEMS XD
This update is so baaaaaaaddddd XD
6. 4:21
I wonder who in Devsisters decided to change the daily system to the diary system that we have right now. And who authorized that. Because those people need to be held accountable. No, the ENTIRE company needs to be held accountable for that change alone. Especially to those people who decided that "this change is a good idea."
7. 4:41
This is one of the two things that is good in this update. Such a shame that this got overshadowed by the bad things in this update.
8. 5:45
So, here is what went down on now the deleted livestream (any details that I missed, please comment down below.)
Rose was playing Raid Run (I think that she played without Mic Mac at that time, CMIIW).

I sincerely hoped that Devsisters is going to listen to the community once more. And I hope that this is not going to be "The Drama that break community apart." We had that when Devsisters decieded to support use NFTs in the future (which thankfully, that was cancelled for now.)
And that is it from me, and thanks for reading this entire comment from start to finish.
I read it from start to finish 😊
Oh no poor Rose :c
And I agree with you, I started playing this game like 3 years ago and now it feels like a chore
Also I only can play the raid with a friend cause alone I always loose and is super frustrating you got nothing after 15min of playing
@@Fantasticbrownie99 me too
@@aleb2763 GLAD i quit ovenbreak before 6 years aniversary update and i faound new game interests and back at old interests
What happened to Rose is just horrible
And the worst is in the magic laboratory where you have to wait 14 days I think for the diamond thingy I mean like a hundred forty days for a magic candy oh hell no
Edit: it was 7 days
fr!!! idk how they decided it was fit for release??
hi! this video is great and your points are so well explained and heard. i have a few thoughts:
this is going to sound cliche but i feel like devsisters is purposefully making these complications and “simplifications” to drive out the player base to kingdom- a better game making better money with a “better” story. to me, it feels like they’re pushing out the final last updates and just getting things out for contents sake but the passion for ovenbreak is lost. it’s not as it was before, and kingdom sent it downhill. for the few passionate veteran players, which, those numbers are fading even now, it’s getting ruined! i haven’t played in awhile but i can’t believe they recycled tower of waves >_
Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if they close ovenbreak, they seem to run out of idea.
I did quit playing a few months ago cause it was generally boring (and I wanted to save data space) I was gonna re-download it but it seems I’ll just stay in cookie run kingdom
that's why i really want to quit playing this game but at the same time.. my effort on grinding those cookies..
I hope the make a change. Cause I'm afraid a lot of players are gonna leave!! It's honestly a good game but because of the bad update a lot of players would get mad or something ya I hope Devsisters will notice about this
i left😭 honestly they need to fix the game
@@mikotokayano009 me too
Okay, I must be crazy and playing the game wrong or something. I have been haveing a fun time with the game and the update, so it sucks that so many people arn't. I hope devsisters does somthing to make everyone happy and fixes the problems. oof
i miss the og lab... it was easier for me to make magic candies and stuff, i cant even understand how the new lab works!!!
fr, you could buy magic candy materials with gems which was so good for me bc i could easily level it up, now its gone and i have to farm my ass to level it up
@@mikotokayano009 i just wanna make some rainbow cubes
I rlly hope it gets better. I like no other game like it 😢 Kingdom is too different for me even if I play for the characters
But now it just becomes way way too much of a grind , even the event and I just can’t be bothered with it.
i didnt realize crob was dying until i went to my guild and saw nobody playing, and the guild leader was sad about that.
but it only started happening after the bts crossover came out. crk has been having collabs with sonic, disney, and bts?! meanwhile the only collab that i remember was the one with hello kitty and all you got was 2 crossover characters. one was completely free, and the other you had to play through the event to get them.
tl;dr
guild leader got sad bc nobody played
crob had a pretty bad collab
crk has cooler ones
People used to love devsisters now not that much
I literally couldn't understand shit about the update everything got me confused, I had like..
I think cookie run ovenbreak will die soon when cookie run kingdom has all the cookies and all the things from ovenbreak
Though I never played Cookie Run : Ovenbreak , it makes me wonder if this kind of stuff will happened to Kingdom too. Kinda scared, but we will see.
agree with all my heart.
Not to mention them hiding behind CMs like cowards, Devsis what in the godamn hell-
#bringbackmajiclabolatory
It's sucks now I can't even create some rainbow cubes
It's to expensive
Legendary chests taking 2 days to open sounds like a godsend compared to what we have now (special chests taking 10 days to open)
This is shit, not a game I'd spend my time for rotten rewards, now this is a daily prison
At 9am I open the game, play 2-3 times, then close it, after 5-9 hours later I open and play 2-3 times and this is my tedious looping, I hate, I hate this update, the most awaited update in the game, a Buff everyone has been waiting for for years! It ended up being a sad end
Even me, I asked my friend who started playing to stop playing, because the thing was really bad, it's not worth recommending CROB for new players who won't stay long.
I've been hearing that Raid Run was already good, with the Melon Cookie release thing (I'm from the Fashion Week Banner, I can't say if it really was)
AND ALSO, THE END OF TREASURE TRIALS, THAT WAS A FULL SHIT THEY DID
I hate this.
I'll be honest , even though this game is fun , it's a shel of it's former self
Awww I just started playing 2 weeks ago noo--
If they wanted to make you wait for magic laboratory made so THERE SHOULD BE SPEEDUPS OR PAY CRYSTALS TO MAKE IT FASTER LIKE IN CRK
As someone who hasn't played Ovenbreak in a long time because its so disheartening to see the game is in such shambles.
I knew this game would not last and that makes me scared for Crk and I feel like Crk will fall to the same thing☹️ I used to love this game when I first started playing it and this update ruined it for me kingdom is still good tho and o hope it will stay good but I have a feeling it will get worse 😞
I used to play the game regularly, but only stopped a few weeks ago. The updates got too much for my phone and I couldn't even let into it anymore.
I played Cookie Run since 2018!!! But as time goes on with the updates, add-ons and lotsa packages and paywall stuff. I am getting less interested :'(
I missed it back where it was simple and kinda easy to understand, but there are lot of things added.
That’s why wind archer cookie should’ve kill his dad for this
Not only that, but a lot of players (me included) experience ton of lags and crashes. Lots of people complain about the same thing on appstore and in social media communities, damn, even here in the comments.
yeah i wont lie right now the whole game and the way everything going is bad and all i can hope is that maybe another update or something can be fixed for the next update or so
Devsisters seem to be paying more attention to kingdom. For ovenbreak, they seem to just randomly out content for ovenbreak.
They need some sort of forums that they regularly check
i really hate the new method for making the magic candy
I haven’t played the current cookie run but I remember the early 2010s original Oven Break and how much fun it was, as well as a couple of Devsisters’ other old games from that time. Get That Mish holds a dear place in my heart a whole decade after its shutdown, I hope they’ll bring it back one day since it has such a successful game, I think current day CR/ mobile game in general players would love GTM.
Same i miss the original cookie run where there was a cane 😭
I didn't expect jiafei to be the ending screen you couldve put an aesthetic warning😭✨✨
unfortunately, I do think that devsis is becoming greedy :( I'm f2p player, who's spent the occasional dollar on rainbow cubes, and I've genuinely enjoyed the game for years. but with every update the game seems to be changing into a "pay to play" game.
the gameplay keeps changing, the event rewards become much harder to achieve and many times are not even worth it, the items become more expensive and harder to get, etc.
