Thank you for this demonstration and explanatio, OC. You make it all so clear and sound so simple/everyday : I can only admire your pluck and determination. Incidentally, you must have strong arms by now! Bravo!
Thank you for this .. what people really need to know .. but may be shy about asking .. grateful for this video .. You are an amazing guy .. with an incredible persona .. you are kind ., caring .. courageous.. resilient .. the list just can go on forever .. You have my respect and admiration .. ⚘ Jen999💜💙
Wow you made that look so fluidly easy! I lost my legs 3 years ago and I’m unable to do that. I need my wheelchair and I have blocks like steps for me to get to the floor to weigh myself.
Did you become an amputee by accident or illness / infection ? Are you able to walk on stubbies or other prostheses ? Wheelchairs are sometimes difficult and sometimes uncomfortable to be used.
@@michelsmet2611 illness. Just started training on stubbies.. not able to walk yet. I have a power chair that I zoom around fluidly and don't mind it but there's time getting to the floor is nice.
@@OCAmputee Very helpful!!! Writing a book where the hero is a Vietnam Vet, and is an above the knee bilateral amputee. Would you be up for some questions?
J'ai connu le cas d'une dame belge qui, paralysée des deux jambes suite à un accident, s'est fait amputer au niveau des hanches ... Radical, mais depuis lors (environ 20 ans), elle vit très bien son état, sans aucun regret !
What happened to your legs : accident, infection, disease, ... ? I do not understand why surgeons, in their majority, do not amputate both legs at the same length - this is much more comfortable and easy for the amputee ...

Can you do a video where you show how you get off the floor and onto your bed like said you were to fall down on the floor?
Sure thing!
Hey Lena! I just uploaded a vid showing how I move from the floor to the bed. Hope it answers any questions you had. 🙂
WOW You are good. Did you get any injury on your shoulders or shoulder blade? How are you going to get down? I am worry i would fall.

@@OCAmputee Oh, great. Is there a way to get you my email privately through UA-cam?
@@barbarasimmons5777 if you go to the "About" section of my profile you can send a private message there.
I think it is preferable to have no legs als have paralized legs! i cannot do that you do with my paralized legs!
