People said the same stuff going from the 997 to the 991/2 GT3, especially with the early rampant engine fires..... But the inevitable march of progress and time is mostly a good thing
@@bliglum It is not about technical progress (which in this case is mainly the front axle), but about timeless design (and maybe missing OPF ;-)) There are a lot of examples of newer versions of cars which are not as good designed as its predecessors. 996 vs all previous 911 models, BMW m3 E92 vs all before, Golf V vs Golf I-IV, Corvette C3 vs C1/C2, Range Rover P38 vs Range Rover Classic. Also a lot of Mercedes, Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini models. Too many to mention all…
It’s so true about the width of the roads, I loved picking my Canadian family up from the airport and watching them wince when we passed a car on the road.
A screaming GT3, stunning cinematics and a breathtaking Swiss backdrop. Except for the coffee that's quintessentially Cars with Luke. Loved it! :) Also the GP looks epic on your wrist!
What a car - what a video: thanks Luke!!! I love the pics in the fog. 9:40 Flat Foot Upshift - do you do a Heel Toe Downshift? For all the American viewers: narrow Alpine roads are great: 1) You drive them with the family car in a normal way 2) A 'Luke with a nice Porsche' or other driver pushes you in the back 3) You start to smile 4) roll down the window 5)right indicator on 6)signal he/she can pass 7)As the flat6/H6/V6/V8/V10/V12/W16.... passes by, you hope to receive a high rev pass-by. This is dope for the ears and eyes! And a here we go again from the partner next to you haha.
I agree that alpine roads have incredible scenery but for balls to the wall driving I’ll take the deserted roads of the Appalachian or Ozark mountains here in the U.S. any day. I want zero traffic and sight lines around the curves.
Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Habe meinen Touring zwar wieder verkauft um Platz in der Garage zu machen, aber es ist und bleibt ein Traumwagen. In Kreide natürlich auch herrlich schön.
At 8:09 I appreciate the attention to detail how you merged the music with the rpm sound of the engine so perfectly. Subscribed and like for that and the car of course!
Luke, I would just like to say that now with this video you are back on the right track, your motivation, passion and creativity are as they were before the whole Covid shit started. Really enjoyed this video and car is absolutely amazing! Keep up this way!! P.S. coffee in video is always a great idea!
Thanks man really appreciate it, it was a really hard year and half, more mentally than anything so yes happy to get back on track and feel somewhat normal again.
So funny what you're saying about the roads in America.. I live in Canada and it's the same here, people can't believe it. I'm from Germany and so used to narrow roads. Absolutely amazing car and video - Thanks!
It’s always a total experience watching your videos. Truly love every single one. Thank you for always maintaining great quality in ever single video!!!!!
i like high mounht, forest and hill, because i am a forest engineer, and ilke to porsche , audi others dream cars because i am a petrolhead , i looking your life, Swiss and Cars this very good👍👍
You hit it right on. Just Drove a 991.2 GT3 RS for the first time and it was the perfect amount of power and so much emotion… more fun than my Tesla Plaid by far with 1/2 the power
Perfect car. I like it more than the 992 Touring. Classier and better looking, perfect 911 lines. Also more exclusive as Porsche will certainly produce more 992 Tourings than 991 Tourings have been made. Fantastic video, many thanks Luke. My favourite channel!
I loved the dashboard clock ticking down to turning the key and firing up that masterpiece of an engine...the anticipation Luke, you're killing it, as usual!
I have to admit, that is one of the things that startled me when I drove in europe for the first time, the roads felt more like driveways than roads! Another cool vid, keep up the good work, hope you get to own a GT3 sooner or later, you deserve to with such talent and passion for cars!
Is this your best video? Too many bests to rank them all, but the closeup of the Porsche emblem, the picture in the foggy morning at the end... Best of all the rear shot at the night fuel stop. Yum. And the car's colour!!!
That or the new gts are my just choices on the new 911 lineup. I like them being driven everyday and enjoying long travels, for many hours. Such a nice car you have there! Enjoy and always stay safe!
You know, that's funny. Once you mentioned the roads, yeah they are narrow. But I never once thought that was a problem. I was just thinking about how beautifully sculpted they were, and how they made for an amazing experience driving. Not only that, but the pavement is in excellent condition. I'm in Houston, which has some of the largest roads and highways in America (I believe the widest highway in America). When I would drive my little roadster, there weren't many places with such twists and turns. The roads that are similar, the pavement isn't flat smooth.
It's so nice that you share these dreams through a video with us. And such a pity that only 1-2-3% of all people who love these cars, can actually drive or own them. Anyway 😍 I'm gonna watch the video one more time.. thanks again!
Awesome video Luke (and thank you for the shout out @1:40) ! I loved your video of my GT3 Touring, that was a special day and awesome experience to share it with you and be a part of your filming! What notable differences were there with my car? Anything other than seats and exhaust? Come back to Malibu soon! It has been a great year for driving.
Narrow Swiss roads: yes they are cool. Not that cool and narrow as roads in the Dolomites, the French Alps or Pyrenees but cool. It's a shame that more and more of these iconic roads get wider and wider, e.g. when I was a student Hulftegg was like Sattelegg now it's a road without any charm. And right now they are widening Ibergeregg massively on the side of Schwyz.
The absolute dream Luke! 992 is epic but it’ll never be this pretty and perfect! I like the stock wheels more but I’ll never be able to afford to choose so no judgement hahaha
Such a pure car, and an excellent video, but I really need to mention your filming skills and the photography of the video, they're just perfect! I actually got 7 new wallpapers out of this video. Congratulations!
Luke mate, I need a list over those great spots you take those great photos and vids for next time I get to Switzerland! Love the content, just wish there was more 😅
@@YazAMG hey man, I didn't catch the golden fish or anything, but with the right career(like Software Developer) you can pretty much grind a £100k yearly salary with 4-5years of focusing on your career :) after that, the world is yours
hi bro...im here to just leave a comment...everything started from gr yaris video and i fall in love with your channel...i love your snowy day drivings because i have memories like that and i liked how you are showing the purpose of lovely awd cars like rs q3 and gr yaris ...keep up good work...you deserve much more...love
Your videos are so Enthusiastic brother especially coffee on a bright morning🌄 and in the streets of Switzerland✨😍, Thank you for this beautiful content and high quality of photography. 🙏
Yeah those roads are literally half the size of our roads. We do have those single lane roads but they are WAY out and usually only on someone’s large property.
Great video! Love this variant GT3 Touring the best! Wish we could still buy it. I know what you mean about the roads. I grew up in New England where the roads were narrow and twisty, then moved to the Midwest where they felt like four lane roads by comparison. Here I have to hunt out twisty roads to exercise my Porsche.
as I love the new 992, in my opinion the touring package suites way better the 991 body. A 991 gt3 touring in oak green metallic is a true grail of mine!
Great job yet again Luke. The Swiss roads are magnificent, I miss it so much and can't wait to return after C19. Question then for you! If dollars are not an issue, would you get a 992 GT3 or 991.2 GT3 (Touring?). Respect your opinion. Thx
Americans haven’t seen the roads in Greece as well, as narrow as yours but in bad condition too ( full of cracks and bumbs ) 😭😂 Great Video mate, love your content and I hope one day I can make this kind of content myself!
GT3 Touring or GT3.... decisions decisions. The decals look great, takes a brave man to spec them. It's what I'll do. New Subscriber. Love what you do.
By far undoubtedly one of the best cars ever made. Love the content and realistic driving experience!

Hätte es nicht selbst besser sagen können.

As much as I like the 992 GT3, the 991 is just more elegant in my eyes 😍
exactly!991.2 has the perfect body shape.
This is exactly how I felt about the 997 😂
Fully agree!

9:21 Bike. We have roads like that in California -- one to one and a half lanes wide, mountainside or canyon side, and sweepy to very twisty.
There is just nothing like Porsche 🏎
Such an epic car. The start up sound is also one of my favorite parts. The best way to start your morning!
Definitely!
The combination of the quality of videos and the cars is just brillant .....love your videos ❤️
Cheers, super happy to hear 🤙🏻
Thanks for making our Sundays better luke!
Cheers, happy to hear it 🤙🏻
The GT3 on a perfect, cool, fall day with that scenery is 100% heaven on earth.
Ha sure is man! The dream

8:01 is picture perfect... the Porsche, a road bike, and the picturesque mountain in the background
The start up engine sound... I can relate to it... grateful to have a NA V8 engined car and that gets me every single time... pure bliss.
Pure bliss indeed!
Luke wish a quick recovery of your health & may blessings of love, joy & happiness warm your heart as well for your loved ones.

Sportec is a great Porsche tuner, and the gt3 touring is the best Porsche ever, for me.

Gotta say the colors in this video are POPPIN’. So bright, I love it.

So crisp and yet classic. A wonderful contribution with our 991 GT3 Touring! Thank you Luke.
another awesome video Luke 👏🏼

Ha thanks man! Working on doing more this winter, want to anyway
This is actually my favorite car right now. To the moon!
My favorite thing about the 991.2 touring is how demure it looks but sounds and revs like a racecar
One of your best. Enjoyed that. Thanks.
Love the classic photo shoot place!!! Thank you!!!
Best looking modern Porsche 👍💚
Love your style of shooting and editing 😊👍🏻 And you were talking faster than usual at the beginning of the video 😄
Swiss license plates are just the best
Agreed!
