Their drummer did an incredible job! What a beast!!
O Keefe's music school is based here in Cincinnati Ohio. I've seen the kids put on concerts. Always metal. They cover slipknot, Pantera, Ozzy and Killswitch engage and much more.
That little kid with the wood sticks is the BOMB!! Keeping the band in sync.
Isn’t he though? He always stands out to me for some reason.
@@QueenBee-py3ks It may have something to do with the Cowbell Syndrome. Short, snappy sounds(like cowbells) stand out in any song no matter how softly they're played.
he drums in their cover of No More Tear's. Its awesome :)
She hit that difficult point of the song and she knew she was gonna hit it why that smile/smirk on her face 😁
The vocalist is Kala Esposito-Scarpinski aka Kala Rose, singer from Cincinnati, for the band Saving Escape. About 18 or so now. Fun band to listen to, and she still rocks! 🤘🏻
Fousty Kala is as good now (or better) than she was then. I agree she’s a serious talent. Hoping for a new Saving Escape album soon.
Rick Grant She’s got a Joplin vibe going now. Pretty cool. 👍
Watch the lead singer from this song as an 18yr old doing Crazy Horse cover from Black Label Society. Unreal!
🤘🤘well done Drew.
9 mini humans equal the force of the 4 extraterrestrials that are TOOL
the same girl in her teens does a cover of Sober, it's pretty fantastic. should give it a listen
Link?

@@NooDLES411911 do a search for "Kids Cover Sober By Tool / O'Keefe Music Foundation
"
she also did a really cool cover of the pot
@@franzbeck3177 you fucking wrong. It's over or under the covers.
On that same channel they do a cover of 'pull me under' by dream theatre, she is awesome in that 👍
Agree! This and pull me are absolutely the best from these kids
Let's not forget the drummer!
@@vasettoo my favourite instrument, but i was referring to the girl signing. The drums are good but have you have seen Gavin Harrison from Porcupine Tree?
@@mattmattman1984 My reference was for the kid in "Pull Me Under".
This o'Keefe video literally made me pick up a guitar and learn, after 20 years of wanting too
The OKeefe Music Foundation is a rock school for kids in cinncinati ohio. They have a large number of videos of kids doing hard rock and metal covers, and all sound very professionally done. Many of the videos have some of the same kids in them, but many have new kids as well. The cover a wide range of songs including metallica, iron maiden, black sabbath, ozzy osbourne and tool, among others. The girl who you liked so much in this video also sings in their cover of Sober by Tool, and plays the guitar as well......she is 3 or 4 years older in that video, and more recently, the school did five covers of the song The Pot by Tool, each one a different interpretation, but all well done. The girl in this video is on the pot #2.....she is in her late teens now and has developed into a pretty great singer. Anyway, check out more of the OKeefe Music Foundation kid covers, you'll enjoy them.
Highly recommend their covers of No More Tears by Ozzy,. The drummers recovery after dropping his sticks...so professional. Or their cover of You Could Be Mine by Guns n Roses. (Its a duet.). These kids ROCK!
Yeah , after your done with all the TOOL albums, go to Percect Circle ⭕️!! You’ll Love them !!
YES MATE! I so hoped you would react to this!!! Thanks!!!
I downloaded this off of google play and jam to it often. One I highly recommend is a Lateralus cover by You Tube channel
"BRASS AGAINST". IT BLEW MY MIND. I played Tuba in marching band, so I appreciated this style cover.
Sam Mccoy Oh yes...
I highly recommend Brass Against and their Tool/Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave covers.
My favourite of the vocalists they use is Sophia Urista.
WAKE UP! ;-)
I don’t know if they are on Google Play, but they are on ITunes. There are string quartet versions of many Tool songs. There was even a baroque album that was very unique.
Brass Against just did a 46 & 2 cover with Sophia Urista doing vocals. After hearing that cover and this one, I'm starting to think as amazing as Maynard is, 46 & 2 is a song done better with a female vocalist. It just fits so well
Tool is the shit. Menards so animated. But I'm gonna say this anyway. I think these kids nailed it. They play it better then tool. I'm not sure how or why it's just better. An now I'll be going to hell
The drums on 46&2 are so complicated. He's play on the 7 and 8 I think. And the bassist is sick. And kala for 10 year old it's just ridiculous. She hangs her vowels her style is killer. If I were 10 I latch on to her cause she going places
Hey Drew, I just realized you have not reacted to A Perfect Circle "Judith". If you have I didn't see it on channel. That song is unbelievable. The emotions in MJK's lyrics and voice are chilling. Please react soon.
@TheBlackiwid He just reacted to Jimmy so it is time. Judith, then wings for Marie 1 and 2. All 3 of those are image inducing rollercoaster rides. I think my favorite reaction video to Judith is the one with the pastor. It is a long video but he listens and his reactions is unbelievable.
Yeah he’ll get there when he does 10000 days album. But yes I would say listen to Judith before wings 1 and 2. They go together.
Sam Mccoy I recommended these songs a couple weeks ago or so. I’m sure it’s coming soon.
Why is Judith always the Go To? It's great but how bout Magdalena, Sleeping Beauty, Orestes? Ect. Seems like anybody ever only reacts to Judith.
And 'The Hollow' - great opener that often gets overlooked
The little girl singing there does a cover of The Pot by Tool years later when shes grown up and her voice is so much better and the whole cover is amazing you should definitely check it out
Love the drummer.
He makes the song
These are the luckiest kids in the world, man. And talented, holy shit!
Listening to this version, I'm hearing drum parts that I wasn't aware of before. Pretty cool!
Waited for this song so long
Amazing.
My missus was giving out cos of the kids loving the metal when we are in the car so I started playing this.
They love it!.
That little girl is my daughters idol
HA! Thanks for reviewing that! I know I'm not the only one that has watched the O'Keefe version of 46&2 multiple times. There's millions of views! I must have watched it more than 10 times. Those kids are amazing. Thanks Drew.
Yayyyy!!!! All of the kids with o'Keefe music foundation are amazing!!!!
I love this video, these kids muse out!
Each time I hear her I get goosebumps!
These kids...so professional, high level, really impressive I like it very much!
THEY ALSO DO SOBER, THE POT, SCHISM, AND LATURALUS.
I’ve been following since your Fear Inoculum reaction, that was a nice recap at the beginning.
These kids absolutely kill this!!!! I am sure Tool has seen this and I surely hope they are as impressed as we all are!!!!!
The cover by these kids of Ozzie's No More Tears kicks ass ..the kid guitarist shredding of Zakk Wylde's solo is absolutely amazing!
Wow, that’s awesome, you really got into and started to understand Tool. They’re pretty complex and not always an instant attraction.
That was cool. Love that kids are learning tool. For them its classic metal which is hilarious. Drew- You got two songs left on Aenima album, both great. Finish it off!
These kids are great, love Kala, the singer, and the drummer. All of them are awesome.
Kala Rose is the singer. She's abit older now, got her own band Saving Escape. They have done a few really good covers, many have already commented. My favorite is how she's giving James LaBrie a run for his money in Pull me under - Dream Theater. Im a long time DT fan so that one hit home for me.
Love that you got the headbanging down to this song after hearing it a few times. Can’t wait for Aenema and Third Eye reactions. Keep spiraling out!
The singer is Kala Rose Skarpinski and she's got a band of her own but several from O'Keefe also covered BLS's "Crazy Horse"! Fantastic cover! Check it out!
omg they're all so adorable. I love that they're so into it. So talented
That is a very old video.
Drew, The same girl did a cover of "The Pot" off of 10,000 days album. Unfortunately it is only a shortened version but it is so good i get chills listening to it. I know you're not on the 10,000 days album yet but when you are, check it out.
Holy shit man. Nice job spotting the connection.
Love it.. Same kids cover Dream Theaters “Pull me under” excellent!!
Have great day dude!, great reaction, love from México
Your reactions are awesome man. I can’t wait for you to react to Right in two off 10,000 days! One of my favs
these kids, 2 guitarist, 1 bassist, 1 drummer, 1 piano player, 1 vocalist and 3 percussionist... 9 kids, to make this tool song
One of my favorite videos on the internet. They do so many good metal covers. Couple slipknot, some Pantera, Killswitch engage lots of different variety. You should definitely check more out by them
O'Keefe Music Foundation sells a 7-inch single with this song on Side A and "Sober" on Side B. Well worth the $25.
I just found your channel today I've watched a good deal of you tool vids already love how deep you're getting no one eles is brave enough to react to whole albums and some. You've earned this sub. Can't wait to get into 10000 days and undertow with you and to check out your other vids. Keep it coming bro awesome job
It's time to see the other side of tool my friend. Opiate awaits..
I’ve been following u as well since Fear, those Kids rocked !!
that bass though.. tight AF!
The O'Keefe rendition of Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden is pretty epic. Most all of the covers they do are on-point. It proves there is still hope for the younger generation
I absolutely love these videos, man. Your expressions are so on point and Tool fans know EXACTLY what you're feeling in those moments. If you haven't been on r/toolband yet, take a look around. I will warn that they DO NOT like reaction vids over there...but idgaf, I am hooked on seeing people go "ohhhhh.shhhhiiiiit". Yup. Feel ya, man!
Hell yeah! Great idea to react to this, I actually forgot about it lol
Love Okeefe videos. There are some talented kids out there. Gives me hope for the future of rock and metal. 😁
THAT MAN ON THE DRUMS IS AMAZING OMG
He’s 13 in this video
there's also this one gig where danny played with other kids, the song was the pot and the bassist girl was a fucking badass
It's said that music is the key to the human soul, and whether or not you like the song (I absolutely love it, and Tool) you only need to see how into what they're doing these kids are. I love videos like this, it gives us all hope for the future. That drum/bass rhythm section is simply superb, just look at the passion and skill! Wonderful all round.
Wow!Nice job kids really. I need to practice.
That's Kayla and Friends, another part of the Tool Mystique. Check out their version of Sober.
I don't normally like kids at all so it's saying something when I say that every one of these kids RAWK!!! Especially the girl singer....her name is Kala Scarpinsky and she wails. The drummer is a little badass too and does Danny proud!
I love this cover great videos brother keep up the awesome work
You really need The Pot from them. REALLY
Drew did you forget about doing Third Eye to cap off Aenima?
He still needs to do Aenima itself too! Maybe we'll get those this weekend 😁
No dude, course not! Will be continuing with the album the next time I get a chance to sit down and film!🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@DrewFortune97 nice!
ÆNIMA reaction!!
Damn!!! This is so 👏
I get the feeling Drew that you like exploring a variety of styles, going with the current theme try doing a search for O'Keefe Foundation and Cosmic Love.. if you can believe it a cover song that many feel exceeds the original song. Also to keep going on with Tool, the O'Keefe kids did an interesting cover of Sober, performed when Kala S. was much older. She also knocked it out of the park on Chain of Fools (Aretha Franklin), Pull Me Under (Dream Theater), and The Longest Day (Iron Maiden).
To answer your question, Adam Jones shared this on his social media when it came out. :)
Good job, young man!
You have to check out Brass Against! They cover this genre of music, but play brass instruments! Amazing bro!!!
Pleasant video host. Open to tool which is a plus. Keep it up brutha
Thank you! I've been waiting for someone to react to this. Check out their cover of Duality. It's another great one.
Probably should give their dream theatre cover a listen.
Hey thanks for the song from Chino. I'm a huge Chino and never heard of that track. So thanks for that lol
😂 4 people covering what one plays original. 😎
There are a lot of O'Keeke Foundation videos. They do some wonderful songs and different kids play different tunes.
I just subscribed to your Channel. I've been watching your reaction videos to the band Tool and knew if you saw this one that you would love it! I was right! You should hear them play Ozzy Osbourne's No More Tears! They blow the roof off the place with that song also. Great reaction I'll be around for awhile!
The little girl on vocals (Kala Rose)
Is now a young woman and has her own band (Saving Escape).
YES
I saw this video a while ago those kids have some amazing covers They also do some good Slipknot covers
are you going to finish the album? Title track and third eye yet.
Okeefe likes to give each of the children depending upon what their expertise is something to do and if you noticed even the littlest of the children played an instrument hence the more than four people. It’s a no brainer and if I had heard this before Tool I would have bought this in a heartbeat...So get real on the how many members does it take to play the song from Tool.As you said they killed it.And in the future don’t judge unless you can do better. Also anyone can sit in a chair and speak into a mic and yes I used to DJ and have played the lead guitar since the age of 12 years which has much longer than these kids have been alive.NOVA.K.
The Drummer is Curtis Moss. He has a small channel go give him some love
Wow. That little girl killed it. She is going to go far. She sounds like lacy sturm from flyleaf.
She is in a band called saving escape now
Tool 4 band members with a total of 18 arms, math is funny
Drew, you should check out BRASS AGAINST they do some awesome covers to Tool and rage against the machine... greetings from Tijuana, Mexico 🤘
Wow. It's rare that I find someone else in this world that I share a last name with. What's up Drew.
I prefer the kid version over the original
Drew, check out Brass Against's cover of "Lateralus"! (Once you're done with AEnema and Third Eye)
same girl covers black label society "crazy horse"... kills it!
When you get to Tool's 'The Pot'....go watch Brass Against - The Pot (Tool Cover) ft. Sophia Urista
You don't need to make a video on it...it's just something I think you'll enjoy
The drummer would have killed it in the 80's
They also do a fantastic cover of Burn by The Cure
Interesting about chino mereno. Does sound similar.
I cant wait for you reaction to their (controversial opinion) BEST ALBUM 10,000 Days! Aha
Check out their other songs
You should react to Reflection cover by Gardenjia. It's the best cover from a Tool's song I've ever listen and also the most underrated.
Hey man, you skipped their album in between Fear Inoculum and Lateralus..... it's called 10,000 Days. Check it out, you'll love it. The song The Pot is amazing.
Not to take anything away from those kids, they're all extremely talented, but notice that it takes 4 people to recreate the sounds that Danny Carey does all on his own, hes one amazing musician
Saw them live last night for the 4th time and was just as amazing as ever, you've got to see them live if you ever get a chance at that my man
Its funny.. they had 9 kids doing that and TOOL does it with 4.
OH, just hearing you say that now in your video.. haha
They have a few good covers of tool
My brotha after aenima album, gotta hit wings for marie and 10000 days together will blow your mind
I know I commented on it before but you should do a reaction to Deftones "My Own Summer" and compare that intro/main riff to Chino's "Brief Exchange" song
To me the riff sounds closer to My Own Summer (shove it) but can see how they are both similar.
