Holes around the slideout? Absolutely a no go. Too many sealant misses or separations that will never stop happening.
As soon as you have moisture inside the walls, it’s a bust because you can seal it up, but the damage is already inside and you don’t know how much damage there is!
Winnebago should be ashamed letting this get out on a 2023 model. I would suggest Winnebago take it back or send a technician out to fix and make the final inspection THEN go back and track down why this failed and who worked on it to improve process improvement. Nothing kills a brand faster than a company ignoring it.

Because you feed more information to the dealership about the state of their unit...for free!!! And I know the customer will give all the informations I provided 🙄 I've had that happen before. Customer gives away all the information, even with a half ass report that we deliver anyway, even if it is a bust.
The seller had no problem selling you this defective unit without any remorse, then you reward them with the report YOU paid for ??

They don't want to pay one of their own to inspect these units....so they let the customer flip that bill with us, then want a handout from the customer 🤨 How many ways can you screw a customer financially before that customer wakes up?
I think I said this before, just about anything in an RV can be fixed, except water intrusion. You can fix the leak but once water has entered the walls/floor that is eventually going to be mold, sickening mold that can't be fixed. I often wonder why a one year old, low mileage RV was traded? The original owner probably realized he/she had a LEMON, and wanted to dump it.
I think they used it for RV shows. These would have been the first owners.

Sure seems like not enough people are finding you soon enough, learning what they should or should not do when making an offer to purchase. Very sad. We purchased a 2014 View V when it was 5 years old and it was in much better shape, no water intrusion, no missing sealants or leaky shower. MB Sprinter... different story, LOL. Needless to say, we no longer own it.
Never rely on caulking to bridge gaps. Use foam backer rod jammed into the gap, if you must have a gap. Better workmanship would leave no gaps to bridge.
People buying rv think it’s like buying a car not realizing use no warranty which then said and also deposit no refundable which they said but buyers don’t listening new rv buyer need your information keep up good work one you will get though thanks

Couldn't see nothing from underneath pass the protective shield of the chassis. But I swear they forgot to put a fake floor from above. The only thing holding you from going down to the undercarriage plate was the rubber mat. No structure was present. It felt like a trampoline 🥴

Winnebago=Grand Design=Winnebago. Only Manufacturer of Class B+’s that I would trust are Leisure Travel and Pleasure Way. This is Sad News for a once great brand. Get an Inspection Folks! Worth every penny!

Did you not realize this was the 2023 View DV Special Edition model? Everyone knows this is the Death Valley model, build specifically for those wanting to live in the driest place in the USA. Obviously someone drove this or left it in a rainy place, and that is just wrong. Sad that this thing is so poorly put together as it is very attractive inside and I love the Rear Twin Beds.

I don’t understand what you’re saying about giving the dealership the report. Aren’t you supposed to do they can fix everything? I may be confused, just trying to understand so when the day comes I get one inspected.
If you're not moving forward with the purchase of this RV we are inspecting....don't hand them the report you just paid for, if you walk away from that deal 🙂 does it make sense?

C4BO! But buyers want it SO MUCH they wanted an inspection because they heard that was part of the process but then they didn't want to react to the results of the inspection. And they paid for the inspecton and gave it to the dealer for free. Arghhh!

Why not carry some fuels and water in your truck, and offer to throw in a couple gallons at a minimal fee to your customer, if that's needed for a full inspection? $25 should cover enough of everything to start them up.
Maybe you're right! ...I should also carry propane, water hose, buckets, power cord and generator...just in case 😉.
I wonder if a home inspector brings water and electricity, just in case.

Seriously?? Do you know that in a Mercedes like this one the capacity of the fuel tank is 24.5 gallon and you required to have a third of the tank full to be able to test a generator. That means 8 gallons of fuel carrying in your vehicle and what 5 gallons of water just for the fun of it.
These are part of the agreements and instructions of all requirements at moment of inspection.

This is a Bust! Even if fixed it will become a leaking bucket of bolts.None of todays poorly designed class A and C will withstand constant flexing and slides make them worse.

Are you kidding me? I could have done a better job caulking this rig, hell my Siberian Husky could have done a better job, if this dealership is embarrassed to sell this to a customer they don’t deserve to sell anything.. Well I guess everything is bigger in Texas folks, look at those cracks in the caulking, Pierre could walk through them. Did they have the optional swimming pool installed on the roof deck? And I’d never by a Mercedes anything, every repair is going to be 4 times as much, and they are not known for quality
