There's not a tech startup in the world that can surpass the aged and firmly established tradition of extreme couponing.
Damn Shaq can't believe you wrote off having a kid as a business expense.
Shout out to venture capital for this very logical business model.
love too blitzscale in my quarter zip fleece
sometimes i wish i lived in the US to take advantage of these obviously unsustainable garbage startups that will get a trillion dollar valuation before going bankrupt in 2 years
I think its our current populace right, I'd even go as far as to say duty, to leech the Venture Capital funds out of these companies as hard as we can and immediately jump ship once they try and ask for "normal" pricing. Why? Because the VC that is being invested here was made with the money that every single one of us is missing in their wallets right now.
The only "influencer" who manages to not overshare but still keeps us up to date
Truly a strange company. Apparently liquor licenses are difficult and time consuming to acquire, so during COVID they simply purchased BevMo outright. Now the focus of the brick and mortar stores is mostly fulfilling online orders, almost like BevMo is the decaying host carrying GoPuff like a cancer.
WHAT lol that’s wild
They're not *that* difficult to aquire, unless you're trying to instantly have them all over the country. In which case, yeah, it's a series of headaches that's probably easier solved by just throwing money at it if you've got a stack of tech startup cash sitting around.
The gamification/gachafication of literally everything is really concerning. Why would I want to gamble for points when I shop for groceries?
These aren’t groceries they’re treats
@@netshaq2still it will make its way into actual grocery shopping at some point
@@McDonaldsCaliforniaNo one tell him about Shoe Carnival
Because it’s like doing drugs but for things you can eat!
Respect a good gamble that takes minutes to explain and sounds sketch
Hearing someone describe Tony's Chocolonely as "distinctly American (in it's flavour profile)" is weird but I don't think you're wrong. They def tend to rank Top 5 "Dutch foods people miss" when i ask them
very personal aspect ratio
Congratulations!
And I promise you, those Jimmy Dean sandwiches did degrade in quality over time. A few years back I noticed the texture of their carb-y exterior almost all at once went from 'kinda bad muffin' to that heavy bread-like material from the worst convenience store foods molded into the shape of a muffin.
Good to know. It was unbelievably bad
I'm actually more intrigued by the app that tells you what credit card bonuses you have but might not be aware of/aren't using. That sounds super useful.
Are you stupid? What's wrong with you?
Congrats to the family on the kid. All this sounds like more effort than I have energy for but I'll have to share your vid to some friends with chase cards.
I love the way you structure and deliver everything you do (especially because, despite its SHARPNESS, none of it is as mechanical as I've made it sound)
Can confirm, never understood why anyone would want gopuff, but literally last night my roommate showed me the 25 cent beers from his family's membership. Not gonna bother myself, but hard to argue with that while it's in business
Congratulations! Amazing having the opportunity to watch your channel grow, and to hear your family is growing as well. Thanks for the food content, i look forward to the influx of now totally legitimate dad joke content
Can we take a minute to appreciate that shaq did this as a single take. Presentation game on point!
Remember Kim Crawford?! She’s back -in can form!
pog(gers)
tony’s chocolonely with the pretzels in it slaps so hard
The fact that I instantly knew what you were talking about and that do the same order strategy should probably concern me
Also I became a myVEGAS freak after your trip vid and got an absurd amount of free stuff. We love a literal influencer ‼️
in nyc there was an all out war for these 20 min or less delivery services. There were a ton vying for market share so I did something similar min maxing all their crazy sale things. They all went out of business, but go puff is still around I see.
big fan of the aspect ratio :o)
Let’s be honest nothing of value woulda taken up those side pixels
I hope everything goes well with the life transitions!! Thank you for all your great content and delivery
As a German with no credit card benefits or gopuff availability, I watched this whole video and was very entertained. Thank you :)
Craziest pregnancy announcement ever 😂😂😂
Shaq has invented couponing for the digital gig economy age
To my knowledge, GoPuff is one of the only services that focuses on delivery from its own warehouses for groceries and such. I remember getting it in Seattle sometimes and it would be fast and great for convenience store stuff. Compared to the other grocery delivery services where someone random actually has to go shop at the "front end" of the grocery store it is so much more efficient. Im surprised more services don't try having delivery specific warehouses that can quickly compile customer orders for delivery.
As far as I can tell, the only reason the model hasn't caught on as much is because grocery/convenience store delivery just isn't all that popular. Most people prefer to go to a store themselves.
For what it's worth my opinion is the opposite. When I've just gotten home from a long day of work, the last thing I want to do is drive over and spend 25% of my remaining free time for the day running errands.
You can pry my High Noon vodka seltzers from my cold, buzzed hands.
You rock dude. Keep making these phenomenal pieces. Love the stream wrap ups too. Congratulations new dad from alllll the way down here in Atlanta
btw tony's chocolonely is a dutch company
fun to see them breaking through in the states~!
hi from NL
I watch this video once every month just because I find it oh so soothing
I truly resent that to get anything resembling a good deal on regular products you gotta go full extreme digital couponer basically.
I did this during the pandemic in the following way. My local Burger King and Wendy's were just not staffed basically, and i drove by them 3 times per week, so if i saw they were closed despite their app saying they were open I'd order something, wait 2 hours, fill out the customer feedback form demanding a refund and a coupon, and I'd just rack up coupons. The max i ever got was an order of 4 free Wendy's singles from 4 different cancelled orders. When the companies caught on I'd just make a new account with a new free Privacy card and spin again. Of i had to guess, I probably got around 1-2 thousand bucks of free fast food in 2020.
oh fuck yeah 4:3 ASPECT RATIO LET'S FUCKING GO I LOVE 4:3 FUCK WIDESCREENS ALL YOU NEED TO FOCUS ON CAN FIT WITHIN 4:3 AND I LOVE THE WAY IT CAN MAKE SCENES FEEL MORE CONSTRICTED AND IN SOME WAYS MORE PERSONAL FUCK YEAAAAAAAAH
Congrats !
Congrats! Also great video. I love how you figured it all out.
Congrats on the baby! And good luck lmao
CONGRATS SHAQ!
so happy to hear Shaq was IN THE FAM
I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel
Nice job Shaq, with this video you’ve managed to write off dozens of Go-Puff orders just like your last trip to Vegas!
4:3 aspect ratio? Bro is getting artsy on us
If you're still on the hunt for a 10 calorie energy drink, I really like Alani Nu. One of the flavors tastes exactly like an orange creamsicle
Wewwy fwekin good
Shaq loves these min/max games lmao
idk if i agree about them going under in a year, ive been using them for years, they were in north carolina as of 2018 i believe. came in clutch when the college parties needed more beer lol i feel like they’ll be around a while longer too. we’ll see how them scaling up goes though!
What do you make of the consumer reports detail on lead and cadmium levels in chocolate?
Heartbreakingly, Tony's maxed out the scale as I remember. (I guess they get their more ethical chocolate from former nuclear test sites? /s)
Wow, a 1:1 video. Always on the cutting edge
I am loving this aspect ratio my man
I like aspect ratio of the video, 4:3 is underutilized
Congrats Shaq!!!
I used to guess promotion codes for gopuff at the check out and figured out like 3 different codes that always would work lmao that’s the only memory I have of gopuff
Congrats shaq!
by mentioning a baby do you get to write off all of those expenses?
Gaston would love this company
Moon Pie? What a time to be alive.
Congratulations!
I love this aspect ratio
I have no idea what you are talking about, that thing isnt even available to my country and yet this is extremly interesting
Least plugged-in system exploiter:
Shakky Boyyyoo with the thumbnail change. I liked the tired baby eyes 😴
I think the individually sold jimmy dean sandwiches are way worse than the ones in the multipack from the freezer section
"let the hard seltzer trend die"
Whoops I spent $6k last week on just seltzers for the store
Hey just a heads up for the Tony Chocolonely chocolates but the dark chocolate is insanely full of lead. As are many other dark chocolates. There's an article on consumer reports about dark chocolates and lead/cadmium content and as a fellow chocolate lover, I was really disappointed to see tony's on the list.
Update: chase removed the credit as of Jan 1 2024 if you're curious.
Celsius is the one bearable sugar free energy drink, in my experience. I don't drink energy drinks anymore (conflict with medications + when I do take caffeine I prefer less caffeine heavy sources like coffee) but Celsius tastes great
Holy shit, congratulations!!
Congrats!!
Thank God for corporate/creditor collusion and obfuscation.
Hey Shaq just want to say I appreciate this video being in 4:3 as opposed to 16:9. It's refreshing
Halfway through I was like “wait a second, did he record this in 4:3”?!
just because I'm reading his book I'll vouch for Dave Chang here, they're 5*-packs!
I had one for lunch today but I always end up dressing them up with crushed peanuts or scallions or something for contrast
Yeah at the end of the day its kind of well marketed over-priced instant ramen. Your point stands. @@internetshaquille
I love GoPuff
Nice job shaq, with this video you've managed to write off dozens of gopuff orders just like your last trip to vegas
Holy shit
Also those promos gave me sleep paralysis
TY, lil shaqqy
Big Daddy Shaq congrats!! Very into gaming the system of big dumb start up chads for personal gain in the form of pregnancy announcement. Looking forward to the undercover Army Reserve Call of Duty propaganda expose Gender Reveal or sumthin.
Side note: are you using an iPad as a teleprompter or something or are you just that good? (Genuinely asking)
ipad as a teleprompter- exactly
the white thing in my hand is a remote
@@netshaq2 really appreciate that, Ty Ty
Shaq have you ever heard of shoplifting
Congratulations.
he's done it again
twenty eggs, yes twenty
Shaq in 4:3 crop is crazy
The founders have always touted the fact that they've never not been profitable... Most people aren't able to take advantage to the degree that Big Daddy Shaq is. They rely on shmucks like me who order 2 pints of ice cream and Twizzlers for $40. Wicked.
congrats!
RIP the wheel
that ending lmao
Nice reveal at the end, ha
Congratulations
Hearing the name Kim Crawford made me do a double take. It always feels wild when foreigners talk about lil ol' New Zealand and our tiny companies
i drove for these guys right before covid hit. yes it sucked, i did probably less than the bare minimum. honestly i'm astounded they still exist. the VC must still be flowing
Shirt looks good on you bud.
I wonder if Lil' Auto Store has affiliations with the Lil' Drug Store brand of generic pharmaceuticals
I do believe so
Youre a phenomenon.
You’re the only food UA-camr I respect
self-employed netshaq bargain hunting really micro-optimizing!
Gopuff was a useful app back when it just launched. It was a good place to get hookah supplies as well as other smoking paraphernalia for pretty reasonable prices back in college. What it is now is... not good.
this video sounds like me describing my daily tasks in idloeon, lol
congratulations
I do this exact shit all the time. Farm it all for its worth.
Why the weird aspect ratio?
Love those big chocolate bars
This doesn't feel like a business write-off, more like a conscience write-off. Like an "I realized I spent too much time, money and brainpower on this stupid app, and now I need to justify it to myself or I'll fall into dispair."
i love tony's chocolonely, but the lead levels turned me off of ever buying them again.
