The thing that scares me most about the deep ocean is that you could see an animal and be like "Oh that things pretty big, i wonder where its kids are." and then being told *IT IS THE KID*
I honestly found the sounds in the beginning peaceful like a 528hz sound from the whales I wear flute necklace with that kinda hertz and its helpful …. I’m terrified of the water but something like that and seeing a beautiful creature like that with no harm is just beautiful The rest of the video……… fug that
Yeah that one got me too. The thought of being on a ship out in the middle of the ocean at night and falling in is one of the scariest things I can think of. The fact that the AVERAGE depth of the ocean is over 3600 meters, or about 2 1/4 miles, is TERRIFYING. Light cant reach past 1000 meters, and begins to fade pretty quickly at about 200 meters. So that means if you're in the middle of the ocean you likely have at least 2600 meters/1.66 miles of pitck black ocean beneath you, with creatures that grow to be over 100ft long, or even bigger.
The ocean scares me too, the huge waves, I’m afraid of whales because they are huge and just scare me, idk what’s below me, I may just hear creepy sounds, and it’s scary
Next time you think something like: "oh people are more likely to die of a car crash than being eaten by a shark" just ask yourself how many people drive on land and how many people are in the middle of the ocean at the same time. That's the only reason why.
It’s the not knowing what’s down there, knowing it’s probably bigger than you, knowing it can see in the dark waters and you can’t and being at the ocean’s mercy that’s so unnerving. Coming from someone who not even scared of the ocean lol
Actually I love being in the ocean. Deep water can be a bit eerie, if thats what you choose to focus on. But the waves, the current, the sealife, it's all very amazing when you get to be a small part of it. I'm calm and at peace swimming in the ocean. Hovering several hundred feet in the air, now that terrifies me.
That "water intake tower" is at Lake Berryessa in California. the water goes to the bottom of the nearby dam where it flows into Putah Creek. (source: i've been there)
2:08 I did some calculations here to see how long it would take for that rock to hit the bottom of the ocean. I made some assumptions about the rock's size and weight, but they should be close. I calculated that the rock would have a terminal velocity between 3 and 5 feet-per-second. That means it would take the rock 20 to 33 minutes to hit the bottom. That should really put into perspective how insanely deep the ocean is. Whats even CRAZIER is the fact that 6000ft is actually relatively shallow for the ocean. The ocean has an AVERAGE depth of 3682 meters or 12,080 ft. Thats over 2 1/4 miles deep. Whats even scarier is that light begins to fade drastically around 200meters, and NO light reaches past 1000 meters. That leaves an average depth of 2682 meters/8800ft/1.66miles of pitch blackness beneath you.
As my kid would say ‘this makes my tummy yucky’ 😂 some of it wasn’t bad. Some of them made my skin crawl. Like static electricity in my hair type of feeling 😮
