do you mean besides the fact that they can't record until they are turned on? it's so they can worry about other things at the start of the show. just less stuff to have to do when it's go time... get the video going and worked out and then you can focus on other things... every stream on UA-cam or Twitch will be like this to a degree. there's no reason not to. every tv show ever made works this way, you just don't see it with prerecorded material because they edit it out. you've never seen a clapper board? those thing directors use to call "action" and start the scene. the cameras are already rolling...the clapperboard registers the time and creates reference points for editing and synching film. and now, in the digital age, they just run continuously because film usage is no longer a concern

I think most of the “professional analysts” are being really clear that they’re not saying deegan cracked but just saying look at the lap times and you’ll see Tom was gaining and they were telling Haiden on the pit board. Personally I think he just crashed and probably would’ve dropped the hammer for the last 3 laps and get the win but Tom was gaining. Stew was really harping on it on the broadcast which I think was a little much. Just cause Tom was gaining doesn’t mean Haiden didn’t have some left in the tank that kid can drop the hammer anytime he wants.

Haiden has showed his fitness and end of moto speed is a strength of his so for the broadcast to not even consider that just looks biased and doesn’t shed light on his strengths for new fans that might be watching. Davy Coombs told RV that they did not shave that jump down despite what was said on the broadcast He said they did not touch that jump in between Motos at all it was the other section that they shaved down and Zack pointed that out but Steve ignored him and said no they shaved it down but Davey and the photographs prove that they did not touch that jump KTM had nothing to do with it Because it didn't happen

I also agree with the caller who rang in and talked about the press session turning into a practice day and test day, I don't think this is doing anything for the sport, its destroys the track and part of track and race craft is reading the track as it changes on race day, eg a little bit blind, obviously they are not blind, but constant running on the track, provides an already big advantage to the rich and makes the poor poorer, the best riders like riding in the dunes or trails can read ahead, can work things out quick reflexes rather than memory!
