Wonderful video! Grandmothers cooking together & dancing in the kitchen, serving up rice on a board with tasty sauces, (cucina povera style because of the lack of crockery) whether for a communal meal/party, or as mentioned, for invalids or children... even the smallest details, such as rinsing out the jar of passata with a bit of water, so as not to waste anything...all demonstrate the wisdom of & what a treasure these women are. 💞
Great trio of ladies & so much energy & joy for life. Your beautiful looking village is lucky to have them involved in the local groups. Love that cherry wood polenta board. You could see the beautiful grain pop when they oiled it. Puts the little wooden trenchers we Brits used before crockery became common to shame. Though I imagine many newer generations would shy away from food that everyone sticks their fork/spoon into again & again. I've been on the hunt for getting a couple of pieces of guanciale delivered at the moment. Have a few recipe ideas [from your books] for over the Christmas period. Brilliant stuff & a few UK pig farmers have started making it. Brilliant as always, bringing a little Italian summer sunshine into a cold, wet UK winter.
Hi James, it's rather dreich day in Cingoli and those cicadas are a happy reminder of summer. Well done in tracking down guanciale in the UK - I've been impressed by British charcuterie over the last few years. There are some excellent pork farmers out there! best wishes, Vicky
I have always said it.... in Italy you always discover new things, surprises never end ! (and this of course also applies to us Italians). 😊 PS: This one we saw in this video, I had never seen it.
the quintessential of our beautiful region : the traditional dance , saltarello and traditional food Frascarelli , I'm getting a bit emotional , these are our root , love this , grazie care signore siete magnifiche , da Porto San Giorgio ❤️
I love these ladies! Keep dancing! I can smell the wild fennel from here. Everything is better with a bit of wine and guancale, too! You live in a beautiful town and these women only make it better. My covid be in everyone’s rear view mirror so they can resume their yearly festival. Another great episode!
We live in Ostra Vetere for half the year. Before our neighbours died they gave us polenta served this way! Love your program I have learnt so much from these wise women 😍
Love these beautiful ladies! I’ve never had rice polenta. It looks delicious! It is so much more fun to cook together and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Growing up, my parents made polenta and poured it on a big board just like this! We served it with a traditional ragu sauce and all dug in with a fork! It was always so “weird” to other people outside our family, but I loved it!
hi Kristy, no it's not unfortunately - the book was sent for publishing in May and we filmed this in July. I'll add the ingredients to the description box. best wishes, Vicky
From what I can see I guess the manufacturer is Bormioli (Bormioli Rocco is the complete name also used for the website), try and search Bormioli handled jar and Bormioli olive oil lid, beware of the lid diameter because they make lids for many different kinds of jars 😊
I've filmed several cappelletti-making grandmothers from Marche, and also passatelli - but in Romagna. Livia my 'Granny Finder' is from Romagna and insists this pasta is from her region! This is the Marche playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLsetI_-3DvVvxzxeacoOaWofvwOaiiy5K.html best wishes, Vicky
please do not say in the old days people didn't have plates, ridiculous! the reason for the plank is to cool it down and create a larger surface for the sauce
hi Si, Waitrose stock guanciale ready cubed. If you want a more artisanal product, there are online producers, eg Cobble Lane Cured who are based in London but will post items. best wishes, Vicky
These ladies are a trip and a half! Long may they keep dancing and making beautiful food!
You took the words right out of my mouth!! Viva Italia and their beautiful ladies! ❤️❤️❤️
There is great pride to be taken with raising children and working from home! This is a lovely group of friends! ❤
We could all dance, sing and cook together. Imagine what a beautiful world it would be ❤
Agreed. Italians know what life is really all about. 👍❤️

Thank you Victoria! 😀🌺 best wishes, Vicky
The fennel and sausage took my heart! Enjoyed the collaboration amongst the the lovely trio!
Huge fan of Italian sausage [especially the sweet one] with fennel. Even just a little bit can really bring a plate of food to life.
So beautiful to see the grandmother dancing with the grandaughter ♥️
I really enjoyed watching this, a lovely combination of good food and traditional culture 🥰
What a beautiful aura these three angels have! God bless them with health so they can continue spreading all that joy!
That's a feast! And it shows how food can maintain a community together. Beautiful.

As an italian 58 years old... i did not knew this recipe. Thanks for uploading
Ricetta interessante, ma sconosciuta fuori dalle Marche, credo.
Amazing recipe, but unknown outside Marche region, I think.

So much fun!! Loved this and love these ladies!!
How wonderful it is to hear the dialect of my family!! We never made frascarelli. I gather it was more of an inland experience thing.
10:32. An ideal table for a party among friends. 😋
Buongiorno Donne fantastiche!!!! io sono cresciuta con i Frascarelli è come fare un salto nel tempo... Grazie 💋💓💕💗💝❤️😋😋😋😋

Would anyone know where to get the olive oil dispenser lid with the handle?!

Is this wheat flour or rice flour? Thank you for this video.
Wheat flour.
❤️
If you are from Le Marche… you should film nonna’s making passatelli and cappelletti too.
