We're back, and even though we did a breakdown on the latest Teaser, there is more to cover! This time we explore what the new magical creature could be! ...is it perhaps the lost Archdragon? But if it is, then what type of Archdragon is it? Does Aaravos have something to do with it?
Well we all know that he obviously does, and you'll find out more in the Video!
I can't wait for Season 6, Stars, of The Dragon Prince, but until then we have more theories and analysis to do!

The Lost Heir Of Luna Tenebrism? A Corrupted Moon Dragon?
I hope we get a in-depth lore behind the dragons and elves of the stars
Yes absolutely! I mean next season we probably get ...something more, but most likely we'll only begin to understand how powerful they are!

The possible moon dragon I think is infected by the dark things because before her eyes were yellow and in the other shots her eyes are purple.😮
Yes! I wonder if it drove them mad, or it's the reason they're "unsuitable", since they used dark magic
This dragon had three eye colours, yellow to red then purple
Yellow first before Luna's disappearance, Red after Luna's disappearance, and Purple in their real appearance
The theory about star touch elves being able to become dragons is a great theory.
The thing with araavos swallowing makes sense for 2 reasons.
1: He would be able to become a dragon and consume aditi. (As you said.)
2: and since she was the queen of the SUNfire elves, maybe startouch elves eat sunfire elves since they are connected to a star, and have the same energy/power as a star would.
Yes that does make it more likely! That would also make it make more sense that we've never seen anyone else suffer from that. Aditi disappears unexplained, and if she just disintegrates like Khessa did, that would make sense why no-one could explain it!
Plot twist: That dragon is actually Aaravos's second cousin twice removed

I really like the theory about the heir. The dragon looks very different from the queen though (unless the father was a different species and that made it "unsuitable"?). What I find odd is that it has purple eyes now, since purple is associated with dark magic. What if Claudia did something to it?
Yea the dragon looks really different. No wings even. Honestly it could well be that they're a cross breed... I like that thought! With the purple eyes, I assume some dark magic maybe drove it mad? Can't be Claudia since she's too young. Maybe the original Dark Mage ...or even Aaravos, since he "invented" dark magic.
It seems like heirs don’t have to be related to the ruler. I don’t think Luna Tenebris was related to Sol Regem and she was still his heir
@masonjar213_ no Luna Tenebris definitely isn't related to Sol Regem. After Sol Regem, he didn't have an heir, so Luna Tenebris became Dragon Queen. She didn't have one either, so they fought for who would be her successor. ...Avizandum to Zym are the first "Era" of Dragon Kings from the same family

hm i personally hope they don't turn the whole moon dragon backstory into a sub plot personally. it erved well as some background about how the current king/queen of the dragons came into power, and gives some direction for the hunt for aaravos. but as unfocused as recent seasons have been with their sub plots, i much prefer them to not spend time developing a whole sub story around this. we have kind of enough going on as is.
But this dragon not being there after the fight for the throne but clearly still being alive 100% does give credit to the idea that there is more to it than just "star dragon" so you may be onto something there! very good analysis, even if the implications of it worry me for the overall storytelling on the show XD
Thank you so much! I completely agree with you though. They've set up so many things that theoretically we could dive into in the show, but im the end, I want a focused, well told story ...and we only have 9 episodes. On the one hand, I love that they open up the world building so much, on the other, they seem to only create more questions rather than close things off. Like every answered questions brings along 5 new ones

And makes me little nerdy lore loving heart sooooo happy ❤️ but I also want the show to actually be good so any extended material on the side or after can build on that (like avatar) instead of filling in gaps (like about 70% of Star Wars 😭)

When i here swallowed i thought he cansumbed her essence like Viren was doing in at the end of season 3 to Zym.
Yea honestly same, I think that what he did to Khessa might honestly be similar, that he devoured her magic source ...maybe even in the star realm, which made her no longer exist
Maybe they’re not a suitable heir because they can’t fly? Maybe flight or having wings is a kind of social status in the dragon world
Yea I thought about that as well, they do seem to be the only one that doesn't have any wings at all. I wonder if that really is important or not...
i think the pendant might trap the dragon in an illusion, it wasn´t willing to follow Aaravos, so he made it do his bidding threw illusion of false reality where the dragon is doing the right thing. I also think someon pointed out that the eye colour is duferent in the teaser then in Zubeyas flashback to Luna. aka mabey dark magic is covering or affecting its sight. Also, Aaravos may not be a star-touched (not anymore at least) and might be a void star elf (just like there are two star dragons, there may be two types of elfs
Ooh I like the thought of Void Startouch elves. Maybe that's what "fallen" refers to. I definitely think something happened to the dragon because of its eyes, maybe something with aaravos, since he is the one to be known to do something like that. Great ideas though!
so what I noticed after lunar tereblas died the dragons eyes turned purple like his mom, and in the frozen ocean the eyes are bright purple but before she died they were yellow????????
Yes they were! ...I'm still unsure what to make of it. Many say that they're possessed or used dark magic, but I don't see the bigger picture yet, or why that would happen. I could imagine the Dark magic usage or something, but ...why? I'm guessing S6 will answer some of that.

Absolutely!! I feel like we know way more about this one than ones before, and yet I still feel like there's SO much more to it!!
I support 2nd theory that this dragon is Luna Tenebris's unsuitable heir because we don't know the reason why this dragon wasn't the next king or queen of the dragons after Luna Tenebris's death. Aaravos is behind all that and maybe he wasn't alone he had an allie whom is Kim'dael Bloodmoon Huntress. We gonna find out what's happened with that dragon and beg Callum and Rayla survive in that confrontation.
Yea they better... maybe the Dragon was ok with the Blood magic, and it corrupted it, hence the purple eyes... I do agree it's more likely the Lost Heir!

I think Aaravos eliminated the Arch Star Dragons. Not that he is one.
Ooh I like that! Maybe that was his bigger goal for a while since they were the only ones he saw as a potential threat. That would be very interesting!
I just happened to look at the dragon and saw the same pendant on it in the shot with Luna Tenebris and after she went missing. I dont know if the dragon has it before and then someone enchanted it but i thought this was worth mentioning.
Yes! You're absolutely correct, I realised half way through that the dragon already has the pendant, which means whatever it's used for must've happened much earlier on... I'm still not sure what it's for, but we should see soon!

Yes, she looks very majestic! Sad we most likely won't get to see her in the show, more than drawn pictures as flashbacks
I don't think it is the arch dragon of the stars because void dragons eyes are like larger than the solor system and usually arch dragons are bigger than the other dragons of their primal.
Yeaaa my thought process was that if there was one in Xadia, it would make itself appear smaller, but you are right... I don't think it's that either
Regarding the first theory. In DnD, some dragons actually have the ability to transform into humanoid forms. So maybe aaravos can transform into a dragon as a last resort?
Yes! That's kinda how I could imagine it happening as well. I wonder if that's something all startouch elves can do, that with their reality altering magic, they can theoretically take any form, or maybe just the Great Ones? But I honestly hope that Aaravos won't just turn into a dragon when they will inevitably fight him.

You're definitely not the only one! Especially with the one frame in the Mobile Game release date trailer, it really looked like ice! ...I just don't know what to make of it if it were... ice is part of the sky or Ocean Arcanum, not moon. Maybe Luna Tenebris and ....Avizandum had a child? ...so moon + sky ...=ice? Idk, that would be very out there
@@TheGlowingHay I'm not very well versed in the lore, so I'm not sure hybrid dragons of different elements can even exist, but it'd definitely be an interesting development! Could the fact that he may not be solely a moon dragon be another reason why they didn't consider him a suitable heir? Because he isn't a pure elemental dragon like all other previous arch-dragon leaders?
@stars_and_lattes3078 yea neither do I... nothing has been said about that, but that was my thought as well. The unsuitable referring to them not being a "pure" Archdragon. Still feels weird

What if it is actually a kind of a star pendant, that Aaravos put on the dragon to control it? It is a possible theory don't you think @TheGlowingHay?
Yes absolutely! Since we also see that the eye colour changes from yellow to purple (which had been the eye colour of possessed things) the pendant could definitely be the key to that!

Ive got a theory about the Star magic: they can use any other magic as seen in season 2 where aaravos gives viren this power but they both dont have any source for these types of magic wich would also explain the key of aaravos because i think you need every source at once to activaze it and also callum could habe a connection here because he has seemingly two arcanums
Yes! Another thought is that the star arcanum is like a shortcut to the other arcanums. I do wonder how it will pan out!
If you keep in mind that they where the first elves its possible that they created the other elves
like zubeia and avizandum they are rare but not just 1 is around
Yes, you are absolutely correct, there can be more than one of each type of Arch Dragon, but they are so incredibly rare that there are mostly one or 2 around at a tirm
Esmery wasn't the archdragon Luna Tenebris' child she was her companion. When Luna Tenebris dissapared, Esmery got loney she missed her so much. So by preventing the moon from dissapearing she created moon nights every night so she wouldn't feel, alone but close to Luna Tenebris by looking at the moon. Rayla explains that in season 6.
Yuuup, honestly, I'm quite disappointed with that route they took to explain the origin of the creature. ...it could've been sooo coool!

That would be different, but I don't really think so. Him controlling it is possible. Most likely through magic then, but I doubt Star Dragons would be like pets, since they are kinda like ...very powerful.
My theory is that the dragon is Lunas offspring.
And is an unsuitable heir because their father is......Rex Igneous.
Making the dragon a hybrid between moon and earth which are opposite arcanums (if you go by the key of aaravos)

Also if all the arch dragons knew the avizandum died and thought the humans killed his heir why didn’t they fight for the role dragon king or queen.I know zubeia was basically in a coma and almost dead.Why would they do this if someone needed to watch over the humans so they wouldn’t attempt to enter xadia if avizandum basically died trying to prevent them from doing this and zubeia was incapable of stopping this.Also if all the arch dragons were separated and not in close contact how would they know that the looking class was stolen because someone needed to watch over the looking glass
I don't think they did know it was stolen. Like if we look at Rex Igneous' and Domina's response to the call for help, we can see that they're completely out of the loop. Like I don't think they had any idea of what was going on. Maybe they still don't really.

Yea this is an interesting thought. I think the problem is that it seems the dragons haven't really cared in a really long time, since Humans have not created any problems in a long time. The only one who still felt strong anger towards humans was Sol Regem, but he was too tired to actively fight to be king again, since he physically couldn't anyway. Also, yea... I assume the other dragons didn't know that Zubeia was doing so badly. I assume they just thought she'd keep up the protection of the border. Like if we look at the later seasons, it seems like none of the other dragons have any idea about what is happening within xadia... is that a writing oversight? ...I'd say so, but it's the way they decided it should happen.

Yes! That is a lot more likely. We know Luna had a child, and this does seem to disappear the same time she does, so clearly they're connected somehow, and it no longer lives in Xadia. So it probably did something...
Is Callum a human because only elf’s have access to magic without a primal magic stone.Humans can only use dark magic but Callum without a primal magic stone can use magic that is not tainted like dark magic and Callum can use more than one so is Callum a startouch elf and is he related to arrovous?
Yes, he is human. The whole point is that you can do primal magic when connected to an Arcanum. Magical creatures such as elves, are born with that already, which is why they can. Humans are not, but primal stones give them the ability to do the magic. Callum is the first human to have learnt how to connect to an arcanum though. That is how he does it. He wouldn't need to be an elf in any way, and him being able to do more, is technically possible for anyone, just it's very difficult to do, and so far we only know that Aaravos has taken the time to do so.
Also, no, it's been confirmed that Aaravos and Callum are not related.

Yea it does seem to be possessed or something, since we've seen it without the purple eyes. I wonder what happened to it...

Yea but it would mean that they would have been there, and I don't quite see a reason for why claudia would get there first

I think your theory of star touched elves having the ability to become dragon doesn't make sense as we dont know much about the abilities of aavaros and based on what we have seen him do so far it possible he could have swallowed the grandmother through some spell or etc and as you said the star devourer dragon swallows the magic stored within stars not only that but star touched elves are described as elves touched by the stars
Yea that's fair as well. It could definitely refer to the way they tried to "swallow" the magic within Zym in S3.

It does seem to have those colours, but I doubt it. Unless you mean Guardian of the Frozen Sea. That would be more likely...but why?

Yea that does seem quite likely. Maybe the pendant has something to do with that, but I don't see yet how a moon pendant plays a role in star magic. Unless maybe it's a combination?
@@TheGlowingHay the startouch elf was a master of all six primal magic sources so maybe with the power of the key of arrovous and his book and ability to easily manipulate someone he managed to merge and combine the 2 magics as they are quite similar
@@TheGlowingHay and as a master of the moon primal source and being very old he could of managed to recover ancient lost artefacts to be able to do this and as a startouch elf he would of had the help of the people as they were quite admired

Not quite. They had originally always planned 7 seasons, but after the 3rd it wasn't clear if Netflix would let them continue. After a few years, Netflix green lit all 7 seasons, so after this one, we should expect one more!
I think that aarovous had corrupted the arch dragon and used the moon pendant to restrain and control his powers
That is definitely one of the better explanations for the pendant, but why did the dragon have it already earlier? Or were they already possessed for much longer?

@@TheGlowingHay they probably were manipulated through its want to be the heir as if arrovous played a part in the disappearance of Luna tenibris he was probably manipulated by him to help arrovous kill the dragon queen as he did to queen aditi
