I was out my backyard this afternoon. Maintaining the garden, I was singing (very off-key) the “Happy” song, so as a Taurus sun and rising with Leo Moon. I’m going to try to finish painting a room, maybe two rooms as it is suppose to be very windy and cold outside this week. My natal Mercury is at 3° Aries, my natal sun at 21° Aries, two placements I am not fond of. Although I am shy & often silent, every now and then I feel inspired to let my mouth get the rest of me in trouble. I already felt the urge to complain at work (Sunday) knowledge is power - I need to wear tape on my mouth this week 🙊(lol - I type in this comment on my work break rather than talking)
A sore point for me was being sent to the local Roman Catholic grammar school, in the NYC area, one you'd call (UK, Ireland) a 'convent school' as the nuns lived adjacently. This was from age 6, Grade 1 ('57) through 13, Grade 8 ('65) with *horrible* Franciscan nuns whose habit had a 'wimple' (cloth wrap under the chin/covered forehead). I call myself 'spiritual but not religious' & sometimes get an attitude from those who identify with a religion, as if I'm hiding behind a cliche &/or too lazy to pick one. I ask them ~ testily ~ if THEY went to RC "parochial" school; usually they have not & it shuts them up.
OMG I so resonate with you..went to RC parochial convent school in Massachusetts..kindergarten age 5 (‘54) through Grade 8 (‘63). I told my mom I wasn’t going to go to the RC High School, I want to be with the neighborhood kids in “regular” high school. Thankfully my parents said ok! You described the nuns habit exactly so I guess the ones I had were also Franciscan! I think I tried to forget lol. There were some really pleasant nuns, usually the younger ones..but omg the mean older ones scared the Bjesus out of me. I never got the “ruler” treatment but so many of the boys did..I felt so bad for them bc really nothing they did deserved that! I also don’t identify with a religion..I did bring my children up Catholic but after confirmation they could decide how they would or wouldn’t worship. None of them are religious, although my 2 girls are spiritual, my boy who is gay (and the reason I left the church bc of the RC belief’s against this) and he has nothing to do with any religion whatsoever and unfortunately not a believer. This is sad for me bc although I don’t believe in religion I truly love Jesus and Mary and say the rosary almost daily . I live in Utah now, yup land of the Mormons, but it’s so beautiful here with the Rocky Mountains and we have 3 weathers depending where you live. Zion, Bryce, Moab etc just amazing! All of New England could fit in Utah, quite an adjustment when I moved here! Best part for me is No humidity which means no mosquitoes (almost lol), and it doesn’t get dark at 4pm in winter. Gosh sorry for writing a book, I just felt like I had met an old friend when I read your post. Hope you doing well and staying healthy. I’ve been following Gregory since 2014, told him during a reading I wanted to adopt him as my son!! He’s one super guy with so many talents!! See you in his readings! 😻😻😻
