    ELEGOO Mercury X Bundle with Separate Washing Station and Curing Station for Large Resin 3D Prints, Compatible with ELEGOO Saturn, Mars MSLA 3D Printers
    ELEGOO Mercury X Bundle contains 1 washing station and 1 post-curing station, which completes your resin 3D printing experience for post-processing and allows you to wash and cure 3D prints at the same time, maximizing your throughput.
    With a 7.5Liters container, you can directly wash big parts 3D printed on ELEGOO Saturn and Mars 3 as well. Leave the prints on the build plate and set it on the hanger inside the bucket, then the parts will be washed in the stirring solvent removing all the residual resin.
    The post-curing station comes with 2 light bars with built-in 14 LED lights each and 4 LED lights beneath the turntable. Working with Fresnel lens, they can emit the optimal 405nm wavelength of UV light and increase the quality of the resin 3D prints.
    ELEGOO Mercury X Bundle adopts a sleek design using a single knob. Press and hold to turn on and off the machine then rotate the knob to set an appropriate time for washing and curing. The UV cover blocks 99.9% of ultraviolet rays and protects your eyesight during post-curing.
    After a model is washed, it's better to dry it first before you put it in the curing station. For parts printed with water-washable resin, it's better to use running water to wash and not suitable to clean them using the washing station.

    Those 30 second increments make my mouth water. My Greeetech is so fussy when setting the time. Usually I end up curing for 2:07 or something.

    FYI. Leave the basket in to catch the part should it detach. Also, the dots around the knob are just a visual representation of the length of time.

    I bought it, and it has surprised me a lot, I clean the parts well, and I cure the parts in an excellent and very intuitive way.

    The problem I have had with this product is with the wash station and customer support. Shortly after getting it the wash station stopped working. The impeller would freeze up and stop turning. It wasn't stopped because of a piece of resin jammed in under it or any mechanical reason within the vat. I contacted customer service and they acknowledged that it was a problem and their solution was for me to take the base apart and adjust the height of the impeller shaft. Which I have done several times and generally it still only runs for a few minutes before locking up. Sometimes I can take out the basket and force the impeller to spin a few times to get it to start again but most of the time I have to take it apart and readjust the impeller shaft. Basically I have stopped using it and went back to the wash station I was using before as this one is so unreliable. Customer service has been of no help to me with this problem.

    Great video! The instructions state to remove that blue decorative strip. I really don't know why, but I wish I hadn't because it looks so much better with it on! Also, there were no instructions on how to use the baskets. I have no idea how that top part is used... I literally took it off and threw it in a drawer. Finally, there were no instructions on how long to keep alcohol in the tub. I assume it will last a while with the lid, but I suppose it will need to be emptied and cleaned after a while? Just got mine yesterday and have a million questions. Like, how long to set the timers? It says 1-30 min, I guess it'll be trial and error.

    Just received one in the post and the wash station wasn't working.
    Tried loosening and re-tightening the screw for the wash tank as the manual advises. Took off the bottom of the station to see if the motor is working - it is, though not sure if it is completely level (as there is some sideways movement as it rotates).
    Whenever I run it within a couple of seconds, until it reaches speed, it rotates. Then it stops rotating and makes a colossal sound I could only describe as not being too dissimilar to a cow.

    Great informative video on the Mercury X bundle. I have a question on the water washable resin, after you take the prints out of the water bath do you have to let them completely dry before putting them in the curing station or do you just towel dry then put it in the curing station?

    • @Frankbrunorox
      @Frankbrunorox Рік тому +5

      Excellent question. I let mine dry because they get a weird white film over them if I don't fully dry them out before curing them.

    Wonder if a combined device which is able to do the printing, washing and curing phases is a feasible next step for this technology. Then you just have fill it up with liquids and remove the waste product when it's done. They could even distribute resin in similar way how tank based ink supplies are done with ordinary inkjet printers.

    I just want to throw this out there for the people that may say it on this year old video, everything in the bottom of those platforms is easy to work with and available right on Amazon you can build your own wash & cure station very easily

    • @dangercat8919
      @dangercat8919 10 місяців тому

      You can, but from what I've seen, it is so much easier with these (and it does a much better job than you will). To some people, that would be worth the small cost.

    Thanks for the review! Could you tell me if the mono X (and 6k) buildplate fits in this station like the mars 3 or saturn buildplate? Dimensions of the bucket and that ledge would be appreciated!

      My wash bucket is making a grinding noise (even after I disassembled the propeller and cleaned it). It turns freely with my finger but makes a horrible noise when running with the timer.

    • @RJWaynerium

      With liquid or without liquid? The propeller will not turn freely without a bath of liquid to allow the propeller to float.

      Either

    • @dangercat8919

      The wash tub can use either. The resin you use determines whether you need alcohol or can use water.

      You set the time you want. You don't want to rush the process, though, you want the resin to set properly.

    Do not buy the wash station. It is horribly designed. The screw that holds the rotating magnet ring in the base station is garbage and will losen very quickly. At that point the ring will press against the plastic when the container is put on and when it is turned on tries to turn but can't and makes this horrible noise. Tightening the screw helps only for a little bit until the tip of the screw rubs off and the shit starts again. The only solution I found that doesn't require drilling and installing a proper screw is to glue it plus of tightening the screw.
