I'm from South Dallas, but lived all over New York City over a span of 30 years. And I'd have to honestly say that even South Dallas is more treacherous than any of New York City's five buroughs. I do rememeber New York City being much worse in the 1980s. But today, New York is comparably friendly. Sure, there's crime and a steady body count, nevertheless. I've also been robbed and had guns pulled on me in New York. But overall, I think that New York City is one of the most safe cities in the US. I even remember Boston, whch is where I'd lived for a couple of years, as being worse than New York. Anyway, the footage is wonderful. Been living in Stockholm and Copenhagen for the last 6 years. @@TheBikemaster94 Of course there are such places. These are smaller areas and have different characteristics. Districts of thieves, dealers, pathologies. There is one, the main difference we dont have black people.
It's all an illusion. NYC people need to get over it, LA and Cali will always be home to what America likes to push out to it's urban audience. It's like WWII propaganda all over again, where Hollywood made D-Day and everything vs the Germans look like war on steroids meanwhile over in the Pacific and Pearl Harbor, it was all dream, picnic, day in the park etc. We all know the American vets from the Pacific had it worst vs the Americans in Eastern Europe. Same goes for NYC vs LA/Cali. North east weather alone makes NYC tougher to live in. NY residents all over that state starting in the white towns up north near the Canadian border are more gritty. It's like people from that state just seems more edgy 24/7 and plain old mean. LA and Cali has that laid back weather and mindset to go with it. Both cities never stopped being the hubs for drugs, gang violence, sex trafficking etc and that right there was the illusion my friend. You think shit stops and becomes more soft just because you see more hipster's in the Bay Area or in downtown Harlem? Now legal type of gang activity is moving steadily fast into each city, bringing the worst kind of street politics aka old white man money (capitalism) Starbucks, Hobby Lobby, more Walmarts etc. Shit was never back since the mid to late 90s, all you see are demographics now moving next to the slums while people who got pushed out are now going to unmarked territory( go ask how the locals do it in DC). The elites have us right where they want us (you). Lol you're the kind that needs Method man or Nas to rep NYC to feel "it's back" smh ya sheep.
@@andrettitalk9535 I don't get your talk about WW2, you are saying that US soldiers fought in Eastern Europe? And that the Pacific vets somehow had it worse that the European theatre vets? When you start your argument with such nonsense it is somewhat hard to take the rest of it seriously.
I don't see the big deal with that hood. If spay paint on buildings surrounded by half decent cars and what looks like successful business is supposed to be the worst neighborhood than you should drive through some hoods in Iraq. See how Americans can really mess up a neighborhood.
After all these years, I did not know the project housing in the boroughs had parking lots. You only get to see parking on side the streets when they show it on t.v.

And I love and enjoy living over here! But I really miss New York! Not a day goes by that I don't think of New York! So it's really comforting to watch this video. Thank you again!
Really drove through my neighborhood hood. Been subscribed to you for a while
They says New York is the city never sleep ? See all are sleeping ?
Haha yeah, cold, rain, night scared Avery one away or what
cerio 2000 no it’s just winter cold outside city don’t sleep
You gotta know the spots people be at, speak easies and alleys never died here

I love watching ur vids but it’s sad to see that all the ppl in comments r arguing over which hoods r the worst and how they used to be worse back in the day lmao
Born & raised in New York! However, with the high cost of living, crowded, crime, rats, unemployment, drugs, gangs, etc. I had to leave!!! So glad to leave the PJ's! Move to another state, attended college, & now I have a better quality of life!!!!
Thanks for the tour Nico Belic
I recognized that part of Bronwsville because of a documentary i saw on Mike Tyson, and I'm from the UK.
I am from Poland. Tkanks for your movies bro. Keep cool.
Does Poland have "hood" ghetto places?
@@TheBikemaster94 Of course there are such places. These are smaller areas and have different characteristics. Districts of thieves, dealers, pathologies. There is one, the main difference we dont have black people.

New York was hard in the 80s,Chicago is the hardest City in the country now.
darryl walker hard as in the most crime rate, murders, and unemployment? Then sure
Tits Mcghee what else would he mean by hard?
Joshua C people who can actually throw hands without the use of gun violence
Tits Mcghee I think in this context he would be talking about overall crime
Yeah, Chicago's the murder king.
North Holland projects, Algonquin, Liberty City 3:57
At the 1:20 mark mute the video and download the album “Illmatic” by Nas and click play....
You’re Welcome
Don't look too bad to me...where I'm from we'd call that the county, not da hood
You from Baltimore?
You can't drive around in the real hood
Please list the locations. I have absolutely no idea where you're at.
The tower at 1:22 is awe inspiring.
Everyone talking about ny being soft. Shit it’s back
It's all an illusion.
Andretti Talk you can’t compare one city to a whole state
That place is like a movie parody but in real life.
Please. Murder rate in the 80s was like 10 times what is now. That’s barely even an exaggeration.
I don't see the big deal with that hood. If spay paint on buildings surrounded by half decent cars and what looks like successful business is supposed to be the worst neighborhood than you should drive through some hoods in Iraq. See how Americans can really mess up a neighborhood.
This has got to be the cleanest footage I've ever seen. Great work!
Anyone here that wants a real drive along through "rough" areas of Brooklyn let me know. I'll be glad to show you around.
Check out Billy big ball's.
@Voltron Defender of the Universe brownsville not soft at all
After all these years, I did not know the project housing in the boroughs had parking lots. You only get to see parking on side the streets when they show it on t.v.
RayRay 214
U realize how many ppl live in those buildings
Lmao I feel you
@@lamBETTERthanY0U yea I know its a lot of units in each building. But the media(movies & t.v. shows & music videos) makes it seems as if the people who live in the city, can't afford cars.

These "worst" hoods can be easily compared to the best hoods in many cities of Brazil. Damn. Its like another world out there
Some places in Chicago have a murder rate of 160 per 100k and some parts of philly look worse then Brazil

These are bad neighbourhoods? They seem a bit prosperous and the filthiest alley at 4:10 to 4:20 is downright *immaculate* compared to the alleys in Baltimore and Philly that you've shown us, CharlieBo.
Straight outta Ridgewood ,queens i go to the methadone clinic on Powell st in Brownsville lol
Awwh! You're Scared, Man! I'm subscribing to your channel.
There hoods ain't even bad no more like it used to be back n the wild wild west days
Despite being only 13 percent of the hoods, they make up 52% of your vids. I love those. Keep up the good work chief!
R.I.P to Sean Price @ 3:26. Salute to the artists
I noticed as of recently here in NYC that the closer you get to manhattan the less "hood" it gets. All east brooklyn is pretty rough and same with alot of queens. For Long Island in nassau county only hempsted is really bad and in suffolk county wyndanch, copaigue and the indian reservations are wild as fuck.
Hey C, john from auckland, you just keep doin it like the winter there is just wicked, you guys need some real sorting, please be with the company if there is one, be safe bro

Haven't been there in a long time so I could be wrong.... CharlieBo keep these video's coming, they are great !!
We are looking at these neighborhoods at night during winter , it’s cold and hardly no one is outside, i don’t see trash anywhere at all , well there some areas with trash
looks filthy to me, wouldn't want to see it in summer

Be out at baseball practice and then out of nowwhere, someone shooting in the park.

Thanks for the video mate.
4:13 Keith Haring is still alive!!
did you fix that noisey power steering pump with all of the views you got on this video yet?
This is either old footage or Charlie really likes Brownsville 😂
Alot of y'all think these hood look "safe" the man is driving in Brownsville the worst hood in Brooklyn and one of the worst hoods in NYC period . Ppl from NYC don't know but Brooklyn has this stigma of being "grimiest borough" Brownsville was the hood that cultivated that image . Straight killers on those blocks
I love NYC, even if it is crowded and not very clean.
Charliebo313 since your not from NewYork city how do you determine what is NewYork's worst hoods ??????
I ask people who live there. Or sometimes I do a little of my own research.
I wish people had made these types of films in the 70's
