The thing that annoyed me about GTA V so much wasn't that it was a lazily designed, terribly put together, hopeless cash-grab, well that's partly it, but not entirely. It annoyed me so much that it was so successful in comparison to GTA IV. There's no way in hell it deserved that much recognition just because it had better graphics and an "improved" online version (which, being honest, is one of the shittiest, most poorly designed pieces of a video game ever).

I had so much fun just driving around the city with so much random and unexpected stuff happening. Gta v is a great game but in some aspects gta iv is superior, driving and crashing experience being one of them.
GTA 4 has probably the best story in the whole series. It was darker, grittier, and more serious, while still maintaining the satire and comedy. However, I thought the difficulty curve on some of the missions, (like the bank robbery mission and the mission where you have to get the drug dealer lady's cocaine back), was a bit too high. GTA 5 remedied this by having a 50% replenishing health bar. Also, the driving mechanics in GTA 4 were kinda wonky; it felt like the tires on the cars had butter on them.

My view is that the Grand Theft Auto series are the best video games ever made. They're fun, easy to do, allow for a lot of freedom and flexibility and have a wonderful and wicked sense of humor (I love their sarcastic and cynical view of society and human nature). It's the only video game I play
It really was a Hell of a Game! After I played it, I thought this is going to be "The Standard" for SandBox Games from now on. And yet none of the newer SandBox Games managed to surpass GTA 4. Even the sequel GTA 5 and the overhyped Watch Dogs couldn't bring realism like that to the table. The way how your car got damaged after a big hit or the way how your enemies fell to the floor after you shot them in a specific body part it was way ahead of it's time! GTA IV was basically the Grand Theft Auto Series' Mafia 1! In both games the story and the physics (driving, shooting, etc.) were over the top and tried to be as realistic as possible in a video game. Both GTA IV and Mafia 1 are so underrated! People should praise these games, instead of the "quarter-baked" Mafia 2 or the "wannabe San Andreas" GTA 5.
GTA IV and SA are my favorite GTA games ever. GTA IV's vehicle handling is certainly not easy, but I do find it quite satisfying. I heard people say that GTA V's handling is "easier" (which it kinda is but not really) so I expected it to be like SA. Oh, how wrong I was. It's like if the handling of IV and SA had a horribly disfigured baby. It has the simplicity of SA, but it still retains the slideyness of IV. The slideyness in IV was a bit annoying, but because the cars actually swayed around it felt like it makes sense, but in V cars don't sway and thus makes the handling feel slippery (and I hate slippery handling). Thankfully this doesn't happen if I constantly slam on the brakes, which is something I hoped I wouldn't need to do. If you actually read this (which I highly doubt anyone is going to do), I guess congrats.
GTA IV is a masterpiece of game Sure in GTA V there is more you can do in terms of world engagement, but IV and its DLC is all about story and characters and it has one of the best in stories GTA history. It has also become a great period piece, exploring the culture of the late 2000's. It also a fantastic
Not to mention, the DLC the Balad of Gay Tony, easily one of the best and most enjoyable stories in the entire series, period.

I still favour GTA: SA over GTA4 tho!
Thanks for reminding me about the whole drama surrounding gta 4 on PC. I remember my friends would shit on the game for that reason but i loved it cause i was an xbox kid lol
I damn remember before Gta 5 how people used to shit on this and most people used to say GTA 4 is trash they should have made San Andreas 2.
Anyone remember the feeling after playing gta4 for the first time? Getting in Roman’s car and testing those night time graphics and physics? It really felt new and fresh, you didnt have a whole new mechanic system but everything It did, it did it great. I also remember the dissapointment when playing gta5, the shoiting and the driving, it was such a weird feel. GTA really fell off hugely.
He loves you! Bruh even it’s humor is better.
I miss this game
Idk why rockstar is good at making stories than the boring series in my televisions
The Expansions were also elite and brought so much to the world in terms of lore and fun gameplay moments
Easy
No shark cards
No pay to win
Game has more life and is awesome entertaining and godly.
dlc was good and meant something.
Not hating on gta 5 i am just dissaponited...
GTA IV is still my favorite GTA of all time. Masterpiece of a game from top to bottom
Best gta ever made right next to san Andreas gta 4 is my favorite it had gta 3s gritty city but even more color and story than the previous gta had love niko
My fav GTA is the series. Going in and out of building's filled with activites and the use of the cell phone is what separated this game to me.
I will always love this game. Best to ever do it.
Rest in peace..
Bowling
Good physics
Niko Bellic
Liberty city
Good bye 12 year old brother.. GTA IV
If somehow you didn’t know that it got removed from steam
This was the 1st game i played on my ps3 when it was new😢😢😢 great times
My favorite GTA!
My view is that the Grand Theft Auto series are the best video games ever made. They're fun, easy to do, allow for a lot of freedom and flexibility and have a wonderful and wicked sense of humor (I love their sarcastic and cynical view of society and human nature). It's the only video game I play
Can someone tell me what that intro song is please an fast if possible
If you actually read this (which I highly doubt anyone is going to do), I guess congrats.
you could steal police cars and chase down criminals, and get involved with the Italian Mafia.ALL BY HIMSELF not three other dudes.
It's about time this was released on iOS and Android. Or Switch. This would be great to have on a portable format.
The theme tune tho
Why bully was an underrated gem
GTA IV is a masterpiece of game
Sure in GTA V there is more you can do in terms of world engagement, but IV and its DLC is all about story and characters and it has one of the best in stories GTA history.
It has also become a great period piece, exploring the culture of the late 2000's.
It also a fantastic
