Introducing the AD27e Flametop, the newest Grand Pacific to join the American Dream Series that sounds unlike any Taylor you've ever heard before! 🤯
The Taylor AD27e Grand Pacific Flametop is a stunning addition to the incredible American Dream Series of guitars. Crafted from sustainable materials to extremely high standards, Taylor have managed to create a guitar that sounds great, looks great, but is also very environmentally responsible. It's no secret that Taylor are masters of crafting exceptional acoustic guitars. The fine artisans at Taylor carefully and meticulously craft every detail of their guitars to very exacting standards. You can rest assured that when you purchase a Taylor guitar, it's going to be as close to perfect as an instrument can get.
Smoked Eucalyptus isn't a wood that you'll often see on guitars, here Taylor are innovating with their wood choices and we're extremely pleased with the results. Taylor have chosen this particular wood for the fingerboard as it's relatively easy to darken the colour, giving it properties that are very similar to Indian Rosewood. As a very sustainable wood, we think this makes it a great choice!
Crafted from Solid Big Leaf Maple, the AD27e Flametop is robust, powerful and with a wide sound profile that's great for a variety of playing styles. Normally associated with bright tones, the master builders at Taylor have managed to shape the sound of this instrument into a hearty, mid-range focused sound that is a joy to listen to.
Today, we're joined by Vini who is here to give us the full scoop on this new release and of course, we'll be hearing it in action too. 😁

The guitar sounds amazing and has an intricate look without being gaudy.

The alarm bells with a maple top isn’t the brightness. Spruce is bright so by that comment maple/ spruce would also be super bright.
The reason why maple tops are usually alarm bells is the density of maple. Maple is a really dense hardwood, which doesn’t lend well to a top which is normally a less dense softwood. Of course, Taylor may have found a solution to this problem.

I always liked Gibson guitars with maple back/ sides despite their supposed " brightness " and lack of "depth" according to the tone gurus. Taylor have pulled off a v rich sounding all maple guitar with this one ,not too bright ,plenty depth . Hats off.

This guitar is priced more similarly to some of the 300 series (it's over £2,000 while the 300 series starts around £1,800). Doesn't really belong in the AD line-up.

Oh man, what a beauty! This just made the very short list of guitars I NEED to try out! The 000-15m may have some competition. I may have to rethink everything. 😍🤤🫠 It just sounds absolutely amazing. Total ear candy.
Wish they would make this as a GS mini also. How perfect would that be?
