Bit of a rushed video as this update came out quite late after I had been recording other things all day and sadly I had little time before real life stuff needed to be done! Will be covering everything in far more detail as I use the new items! ALSO I did not mention that co-op creative mode is now out in the same unstable update as I personally have no experience with it and likely won't in the near future.. but yeah, that's a pretty awesome thing for people too! :D
Lathrix try using the anti grav engine, or whatever its called (not the ant grav bubbles, the turbine movement one) and a couple of ion drive engines facing up, this activates the z movement as if it was a helicopter and lets you go up automatically and use the sky anchor to tether yourself
There it is! Warning don’t know if you found this or not yet BUT do not use anti grav on large techs right now it will cause massive lag like crazy Wait on campaign, the 2nd or 3rd mission for better future can be broken sometimes Use some sort of flight, I recommend Hawkeye rotor blades in a position where they will thrust up with a linear motion engine and when your anchored set the upwards thrust to 100 and you will stay at max height , one anchor on each side is recommended for larger bases and gyros help too
Maybe a make shift ground speeder? But with BF materials. Maybe it can work the same way as spoilers? But spoilers don’t need energy to function though.
New game, I'd love to see you start up with some new rules, and ending up making some sort of super nomad hover base thing by the end. Also, I would reccomend not using mining platforms in the new series, as just digging up and selling mountains of resources to get tonnes of money kinda makes the rest of the game a bit too easy, death kinda looses its sting.
Check out the new Corp in the current save, and then make a new series. A rule for the new series is that you can only gain resources from enemy’s blocks. You are able to scrap and make other blocks; since only using the blocks that are dropped by enemies would mean that you won’t get the weapons you’d want... Most of the time...
The floating disk thing you had near the end, it reminded of Kami's lookout from DB more specifically from DBA Mr.Popo "All these squares make a circle, all these squares make a circle"
Start a new one! :D the beginnings of a campaign are my favorite parts, seeing your creativity combined with resource restrictions make some of my favorite creations!
that gravity magnifier might come in handy to help balance out techs. as an example i have a MASSIVE tech that when hovering is very back heavy even with DOZENS of large gyros, the gravity magnifier might be useful to help bring down the front end and help balance that tech better
That that gravity magnifier could actually help ground a tech that you want to keep on the ground like a F1 racer or if you want to avoid the bumping and bumps that you may have on techs and terrain.
The Sky Anchor help me in a way of, in fact, not buildign a floating base, but of making an anchor that i actually dont have to movve downwards every time i wanna use it on my massive tech
I think it would be best to start over if you want to work with an airship-style base The main appeal of any floating base is that it's incredibly mobile and your base, as it stands is only mobile by the use of a special tech for shipping all the supplies to wherever you want to go, and even then you still need to find a really good place for it Having a floating base would change that. You can set it up practically anywhere
Seems you could make a hover-harvester, using that reverse grav mag engine to push the vehicle down against the ground, with the hover units allowing you to move around. no need for wheels or tracks.
I kinda wanna see you go into the old campaign . However here is the catch. You have to create a hover craft with the sky tether and land it then fire off tons of missiles while using your lasers to stop anything that gets close. The solar panels and batteries could be deployed when your in combat.
You should make an egg shaped defense turret using the lasers as the weapon and the sky anchor to hold it in place. Make the egg big enough to put hovers on the inside to make a more uniform build but you do whatever you want.
I'm guessing those lazers can only target one enemy at a time? If each lazer was capable of targeting an enemy with in it's range... that would be ideal for the ring arrangement you have them placed in.
*flying * We're coming in hot! Two! Hit the anti grav! *two hits the gravity magnifier * I said the anti grav! *the plane crashes into the land, exploding into more bits than possible by missle *
I would like to see a new campaign. Maybe with rules like "one tech only and no tech spawning" so you need to have everything on your tech (energy generation, harvesting, crafting/selling) Another idea is a scrapper type of playstyle. Dont buy stuff, just use what enemies drop or missions reward you with. And maybe just craft with recycled materials. This definitely adds another flavor to the game
A scavenge only run sounds fun, but there are some blocks you'll never be able to get outside the rare drop from a crate (anchors, cabs, AI, etc.) and you'll have to abstain from using explosives.
In the campaign make a massive sky base for producing energy, and then defended by turrets, you could add factory's to the sky base as well.alot larger than the one u built
The gravity magnifier engine could be used to severely reduce recoil (say you make your tech a literal block of mk3 battleship cannons... Which I have done before. It's really fun to toy with)
Lathland, try using the anti grav to increase a hovers height than use a the oposite one to cancel the effect. Try using the theory to make a base that sits 2 or Maby 3 times higher than the normal anchor height
Question: of you face a fabricator to the scrapper and craft a block, wil lit fly into the scrapper giving back the materials there fore creating infinite blocks?
I think for the next playthrough you should try for a scrapper style where the block you use are either from dead enemies or from recycled blocks crafted into new ones
Would it be practical to re-do the UFO build with one laser disk on top, one on bottom, and four vertical ones on the sides? That way you always have four lasers to fire at a target without them shooting through each other (top, bottom, and two outer sides facing the target).
Pinpoint accurate and ignores shields. New 360 lasers look overpowered as hell lmao. Oh and the beam reminds me of the old Nanotech Disruptor beams from Robocraft, back when that was still worth playing.
how to use the gravity magnifier engine? make a giant tank thats top heavy, and add them. or, better yet, a giant mech. with anchors as connection points.
I'd love to see a new campaign, but have the rule that when you make a vehicle it's made entirely from a single manufacturer, including the cab.... but probably excluding the weapons because if you made a Geocorp tech you'd be stuck with close-range weapons only. Might restrict the size of your venture vehicles though... those shield and repair bubbles are so tiny... not that the venture batteries will keep them active for very long.
You know you HAVE to build a giant Better Future mothership using those lasers as the main weapon, has to be circular, shiny and chrome, with the death lasers en masse facing downwards! Plus a few ai UFOs to guard it on the move.
Recommendation? Battleship Cannons. Nothing survives. If you don't want to use cruise missiles, just use those instead. Also, couldn't you use the perpetual motion engines to keep the base in the sky?
Anyone else remember the Tesla ball from Robocraft? Drills, propellers and gravity magnifier to make a super-heavy ball of death that can be dropped on command.
How do the hover anchors work on normal ground vehicles? Cause the old ones have often caused me problems with ground clearance since they need to be so low.
The next campaign you should have just one huge flying tech for the hole thing and not allowed to build other ones. Ten wen you need to anchor use your skyanker.
ACTUAL LASERS!!!! FUCK YES!!!! OH MY GOD!!! Although the 'sky anchor' not exactly what I was expecting... was hoping you'd actually have the anchor itself way up in the sky :(
I have an idea for a challenge for your next run I think you should do a hover only campaign so once you can make a hover craft you can’t use wheels ever again plane tanks etc (end goal being a huge sky base)
you should make the disassembler v2 a hover craft with a magnet in the middle and 4-6 legs and lazers around the magnet so you can destroy the enemies and fly their corpses to your base
Oh boy i made a new yt acount and forgot about this chanel for a year i used to love watching ark
Lathrix try using the anti grav engine, or whatever its called (not the ant grav bubbles, the turbine movement one) and a couple of ion drive engines facing up, this activates the z movement as if it was a helicopter and lets you go up automatically and use the sky anchor to tether yourself
#newcampaign
Make a new campaign and havist ressors till better future notic u are destroying there plans
yes new #newcampaign
I think a new campaign is a good idea cuz of how much has been added
There it is!
Warning don’t know if you found this or not yet BUT do not use anti grav on large techs right now it will cause massive lag like crazy
Wait on campaign, the 2nd or 3rd mission for better future can be broken sometimes
Use some sort of flight, I recommend Hawkeye rotor blades in a position where they will thrust up with a linear motion engine and when your anchored set the upwards thrust to 100 and you will stay at max height , one anchor on each side is recommended for larger bases and gyros help too
The linear motion engine is better. Place one on your base and slap some eco-anti gravs
Sgt. Snailson you can’t use anti grav on large techs atm, massive lag at least for me and I have a high end system
Not at my pc but I had a little frame drop while I tested it
The gravity magnifier could be used to quickly angle your tech for more range
Maybe a make shift ground speeder? But with BF materials. Maybe it can work the same way as spoilers? But spoilers don’t need energy to function though.
or to dodge incoming missiles
@@niaford690 to counter the effect of my rediculously bouncy venture monster truck
I bet the Sky Anchor could be useful in combat! Not only can you move around the anchor, but you can also recharge your batteries in combat!
I feel like ive been waiting ages for this..... Oh yeah, I have been waiting ages.
Might be worth seeing how well the sky anchor works for groundbased techs that had issues with the older ones.
Always love it when a new lathrix video comes out!!
Basically, challenge yourself with this new series, make things a bit harder than they usually are.
I like to see a new campaign
Make a sort of tractor pull vehicle that goes as far as possible with the sky anchor teathered.
The sky ancor will break when you try that
@@Neko.Corvus That. Is. The. Point.
The vehicle would stretch the rope as far as possible WITHOUT it breaking.
The floating disk thing you had near the end, it reminded of Kami's lookout from DB more specifically from DBA
Mr.Popo "All these squares make a circle, all these squares make a circle"
14:44 you could use it to help you make temporarily an end “heavier” so you could fly a plane, activate an end and it would make that end heavier.
Start a new one! :D the beginnings of a campaign are my favorite parts, seeing your creativity combined with resource restrictions make some of my favorite creations!
This video has bringed me joy. Good job Lath
that gravity magnifier might come in handy to help balance out techs. as an example i have a MASSIVE tech that when hovering is very back heavy even with DOZENS of large gyros, the gravity magnifier might be useful to help bring down the front end and help balance that tech better
Sees thumbnail. “Uh oh, excited Lathrix.”
Oh yeah saw you on stream yesterday was so excited for this video
They should rename it to "tether" then create an _actual_ sky anchor that locks you in place, offset from the ground.
That that gravity magnifier could actually help ground a tech that you want to keep on the ground like a F1 racer or if you want to avoid the bumping and bumps that you may have on techs and terrain.
Lath you should make a flying base we’re all the lasers fire at once making a giant super ultra extreme laser
So... The Death Star. GREAT IDEA!
also anchoring large, high ground-clearance techs will be a lot easier with the sky anchor
THE PROMISED DAY HAS ARRIVED
ALL PRAISE THE HOLY EMPEROR OF TERRATECH!
Praise the Omnissiah!
Lathrix you could use the gravity altering engines as traps
Small techs will just float and some techs may even get stuck in increased gravity
The Sky Anchor help me in a way of, in fact, not buildign a floating base, but of making an anchor that i actually dont have to movve downwards every time i wanna use it on my massive tech
Those solar panels remind me of a space station.
You would try to make the ISS!
I think it would be best to start over if you want to work with an airship-style base
The main appeal of any floating base is that it's incredibly mobile and your base, as it stands is only mobile by the use of a special tech for shipping all the supplies to wherever you want to go, and even then you still need to find a really good place for it
Having a floating base would change that. You can set it up practically anywhere
the gravity blocks could be used on your airplanes and artillery when you want multiple centers of mass
well, lathland has officially shifted into maximum overdrive. 2 uploads in one day!! dang lath.
Finally! I love the terratech vids plz do more
Woooooooooooo Terra tech!!!!!!
Seems you could make a hover-harvester, using that reverse grav mag engine to push the vehicle down against the ground, with the hover units allowing you to move around. no need for wheels or tracks.
I can’t wait to see what ZeroGravitas will do with all the better future blocks!
I kinda wanna see you go into the old campaign . However here is the catch. You have to create a hover craft with the sky tether and land it then fire off tons of missiles while using your lasers to stop anything that gets close. The solar panels and batteries could be deployed when your in combat.

Awesome update! Can't wait for them to add harvester tech ai back!
I'm guessing those lazers can only target one enemy at a time? If each lazer was capable of targeting an enemy with in it's range... that would be ideal for the ring arrangement you have them placed in.

You could use the anti-anti-grav to tilt a flying base to arc shots better.
Lean back or front on hover crafts for a better fire angle. like with morters so you dont have to build a vehicle with inbuild incline.
In the campaign make a massive sky base for producing energy, and then defended by turrets, you could add factory's to the sky base as well.alot larger than the one u built
Yaaaaaau flying bases
The sky anchor could be used for techs that you want to have good ground clearance and still anchor
The gravity magnifier engine could be used to severely reduce recoil (say you make your tech a literal block of mk3 battleship cannons... Which I have done before. It's really fun to toy with)
Lathland, try using the anti grav to increase a hovers height than use a the oposite one to cancel the effect.

Finally able to watch your vids again after my zccount going wierd
Question: of you face a fabricator to the scrapper and craft a block, wil lit fly into the scrapper giving back the materials there fore creating infinite blocks?
Does anyone else notice that his name is lathland but he say lathrix In the opening
I think for the next playthrough you should try for a scrapper style where the block you use are either from dead enemies or from recycled blocks crafted into new ones
we are gonna see that Gravity magnifier on really tall and skinny techs. stuff that would normally fall when taking a corner.
Lathrix could you make a floating base by using the constant speed drives and setting them up to equal the pull of the teather?
Would it be practical to re-do the UFO build with one laser disk on top, one on bottom, and four vertical ones on the sides? That way you always have four lasers to fire at a target without them shooting through each other (top, bottom, and two outer sides facing the target).

Oh and the beam reminds me of the old Nanotech Disruptor beams from Robocraft, back when that was still worth playing.
I vote to campaing continuing to get better future stuff sooner. For the buying part, your choice.
Matrix you can make an airship with the gyros, air brakers, anti grav blocks and the computer thingy with out the sky ancker in any altitude you want
Put the lasers on the bottom part of the aircracft and then on the top put machines and places to land with other mini aircracfts!
how to use the gravity magnifier engine? make a giant tank thats top heavy, and add them.
or, better yet, a giant mech. with anchors as connection points.
make a new campaign (fresh start and all of that)
I'd love to see a new campaign, but have the rule that when you make a vehicle it's made entirely from a single manufacturer, including the cab.... but probably excluding the weapons because if you made a Geocorp tech you'd be stuck with close-range weapons only.
Might restrict the size of your venture vehicles though... those shield and repair bubbles are so tiny... not that the venture batteries will keep them active for very long.
New campaign with new rules and try and get better future fast sounds nice ^^
Now I want to see a Better Future-Hawkeye hybrid build with lasers and cruse missiles.
You know you HAVE to build a giant Better Future mothership using those lasers as the main weapon, has to be circular, shiny and chrome, with the death lasers en masse facing downwards! Plus a few ai UFOs to guard it on the move.
I would love a NEW campaign with a new base and rules, love it!
Garvity magnifiers will be great for balancing large techs
love how you call most of ur craft assult something
New campaign this changes everything!!
Please make a futuristic pirate ship with those updated lasers
Will you do another from the depths series ?
3:45 Welcome to the ISS!
You should do a Nomadic style
I saw your Tweet. You were hyped
Brilliant mate
Cant wait until the next season of this game
YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS MOOOOOORREEEEEEE
well the sky anchor makes a nice brake for your faster techs XD
I will use this sky anchor for every tech so I can anchor my big techs on uneven ground
1:23 including the すこやか
Recommendation? Battleship Cannons. Nothing survives. If you don't want to use cruise missiles, just use those instead.
Also, couldn't you use the perpetual motion engines to keep the base in the sky?
Anyone else remember the Tesla ball from Robocraft? Drills, propellers and gravity magnifier to make a super-heavy ball of death that can be dropped on command.
The sky anchors could be useful for arrestor wires for aircraft
it would be cool if you can use multiple sky anchors at the same time
then u could stabilise yourself by being anchored at multiple spots
To be honest, I preferred the round lasers before the change. Maybe because they reminded me of the giant robot from "The Incredibles".
Massive mobile Aerial aircraft carrier base that can attach and detach from the ground allowing nomadic missions and a place to repair and restock
You can build a fidget spinner with the hover.
How do the hover anchors work on normal ground vehicles? Cause the old ones have often caused me problems with ground clearance since they need to be so low.
Please start a new campaign and build a (somewhat) mobile sky base with the platform blocks as hover and vtol landing pads.
The next campaign you should have just one huge flying tech for the hole thing and not allowed to build other ones. Ten wen you need to anchor use your skyanker.
Nice idea but you get the sky ancor really late in the game
does this work on land crafts? that would be great, because you could anchon on a slope without bumping fails
those lasers remind me of the phaser banks on star trek ships
No problem hey I was wondering are you ever going to do more Avorion? That is one of my favriot series on your channel
Favriot?
FAVRIOT?
Bruh
ACTUAL LASERS!!!! FUCK YES!!!! OH MY GOD!!!
Although the 'sky anchor' not exactly what I was expecting... was hoping you'd actually have the anchor itself way up in the sky :(
I have an idea for a challenge for your next run I think you should do a hover only campaign so once you can make a hover craft you can’t use wheels ever again plane tanks etc (end goal being a huge sky base)
Honestly I would like to see a fresh start
you should make the disassembler v2 a hover craft with a magnet in the middle and 4-6 legs and lazers around the magnet so you can destroy the enemies and fly their corpses to your base
If you know xcom, you will know that the cyberdisk laser looks almost exactly like the cyberdisk alien.
Except for the open mode of the cyberdisk.
From the depths
What happens if they added a diffirent sky anchor and you wont be able do move but you can anchor higher
I think you should start a new campaign because a lot of new cool stuff has been added, also I love videos, keep it up😂👌👍
