My father has always been a diesel mechanic This started when he was in the military, but ever since I was born he instilled in me the same work ethic he has. And for that I thank him for that. Every time I hear the song I think of my father. And both of my grandfathers who are also military men. As some of us may know, Our military men and women have some of the strongest work ethics.

My father has always been a diesel mechanic This started when he was in the military, but ever since I was born he instilled in me the same work ethic he has. And for that I thank him for that. Every time I hear the song I think of my father. And both of my grandfathers who are also military men. As some of us may know, Our military men and women have some of the strongest work ethics.
6 years and this song hasn't moved a spot on my playlist. I was born and raised on a small plot of land in a patch of woods you'd never find if you didn't already know... I've since moved to a suburb and settled here to be close to family, but I still find myself taking midnight walks to the edge of town once or twice a month to enjoy the open space and serenity of trees, breeze and distant crickets.

This song means so much more to me now that I’m a father. Life is hard especially in this economy. Living paycheck to paycheck is shit, and the depression and anxiety that is always there.
