  • For this video with Aaron Baker, we head to his business, CORE (Center for Restorative Exercise) where he meets up with Steve, Xander and Alex, all whom use hand controls. We check out how each of them gets themselves and their wheelchairs in and out of their cars and talk about what being able to drive (and what they drive) means to them.
Looking for more Aaron and/or more info about living with a spinal cord injury? You can find our community here: www.shieldhealt...

Y'all are so beautiful. My son was shot by some monster and has lost his ability to walk. We feel he will move forward through this, but he is where he is right now. You guys are so inspirational. I have subscribed and expect to forward this site to him soon. We are still in very early and challenging stages, but it won't always be this way. Thank you for your inspiring video!

These guys are all so awesome. True dyed in the wool car guys. I am really impressed by the BMW, it was converted inexpensively and works for the owner, goes to show you don't always have to spend $100k+ on a van. The Corvette owner was awesome, he looked so at home driving that car, and hearing him speak about getting it was very touching.

The dude who falls over should get assessed for chest strap and additional lateral supports on the vehicle seat.
If you can’t make a quick manoeuvre without losing control that need to be reassessed. There’s many products that won’t damage car parts/integrity etc.

I really want to live there in the USA because I see that everything is easier and more viable for a wheelchair user, here in Brazil even buying a wheelchair is not so easy 😰 minha cadeira de rodas é das mais simples,não muito confortável.

My mom's spine is broken and inoperable. She can't lift her chair...twist or any of that... She can push on pedals though.
