New Moon is by far my favorite from the entire discography. This album means a lot for me since it remember me a really good time that will not come back again! Lights on the Lake is the greatest song.
Likewise. Lights on the Lake was my first intro to StS and I literally was so quickly blown away and couldn't believe the perfection I was hearing. I'm 24 now but even as a kid in middle school it struck such a deep chord that they're an irreplaceable artist in my heart after all these years.

But they have a flawless discography so its understandable. My favourite song is These Hours of Despair from Hope! Songs from the North is only this low because its a bit too long for me, but every song is killer! Love this band!

I've never heard Ghosts of Loss since Spotify doesn't have it, and I can't find it for digital buy online, so my list has to exclude that one. :( Sad because STS is one of my top 5 bands of all time, I never get tired of their music. I'm gonna cheat and count each of the SFTN CDs as their own album. - Songs From The North - Pt. 2 Really good, but not what I'm looking for from them personally. Pray For The Wind to come was absolutely wonderful however! - When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light It almost feels criminal to rank this so low, since The Crimson Crown easily and by far was my Song of 2019, and Stone Wings blows me away, but I sort of reciprocate what you're saying about how some of the mid section is a bit bland. - Songs From The North - Pt. 3 Sometimes, this type of slogging Fvneral Dvvm is exactly what I need in my day, and it really satisfies my craving for that pulsating, miserable slow. - New Moon I reckon I'm probably criminal for ranking everyone's favorite STS album lower than #1, but I just like other albums better, although Light on the Lake is probably one of my top 5 songs from them. - Emerald Forest And The Blackbird This album tends to get slept on by STS fans, but for me, it's the diversity and ability to innovate that really took me aback. Like many filthy casuals, Cathedral Walls was the first song I ever heard from them, but it would by Labyrinth of London, Of Death and Corruption, and April 14th, the back-to-back-to-back trifecta, the 1-2-3 triple play absolutely stole my heart and made me a Swallow The Sun fan forever. - Hope I'm a sucker for the bleak and grim, wallowing, torturous pace this album takes, including the questionable audio quality. For me, this album is just phenomenal. Too Cold For Tears has been my longstanding favorite song by STS, and I don't know if that'll ever change. - Songs From The North - Pt. 1 I think the world can objectively agree this portion of SFTN is nothing short of innovative genius, and there is no way any STS fan is rating this below their top 3. It's a classic, it's a gem, and not a single song misses the bar when it comes to what one is expecting out of Swallow The Sun. 10 Silver Bullets is a neck breaking behemoth of a masterpiece, and Lost and Catatonic is flat out incredible. - The Morning Never Came This album is the one. It's the one I always go back to. Over and over and over, I spin this album, and I just don't get tired of it. While they've never produced a bad album, no album hits quite as hard as their first, in my books. Not much else to say, every song is a banger, and it is the golden standard for not just STS, but music in general. Definitely one of my all time favorite albums.

Dont waste the time each of its album are masterpiece but definitly start with Emerald forest and black bird.... Just listening to first to third song of this album will make you love this band

Morning Never Came, New Moon and Songs from the North are 10/10s. Songs from the North is a Masterpiece and easily one of my top 5 Metal albums of all Time. The Rest of Swallow the Sun’s discography is at-least a A- Gradewise.

Septic and Behemoth changed their sound to achieve their peak. I don't listen to Dying Fetus. My favorite Insomnium album is their 3rd album Above the Weeping World. There could be a few exceptions, but the majority of all bands early material is their best.
