LOVE these videos! Convinced the husband to go on our first cruise ( and Disney to boot! ) last year because of your videos. :) And we are planning one for this year as well. So any tips and tricks are welcome! Love you guys!! 😘
Awww, LOVE this!
LeggLife was the day
You can also order Mickey premium ice cream bars for room service it’s not on the menu but you can order them for free
YES! Totally forgot to include that one! One night on our last cruise I ordered a Mickey ice cream bar and cookies and made myself a Mickey ice cream sandwich :)
i have to ask. if we order Mickey icecream. won't that melt and before we get it?
Favorite tip: use the shower pull out cord as a clothesline for your wet bathing suit!
Another cool tip: bring a plastic bottle like one you’d use for fitness and refill it with your favorite soda so you have it whenever you want 👌
More! Especially for singles or kid-free couples.
We will certainly do more like this! Thanks :)
Great tips! Planning our first cruise and I was surprised to come across your Vlog. I took a double take when I saw LEGGLIFE. Sharing the same last name, your vlog is now my favorite!!
HaHa! Hi!! It's always great to connect with another Legg! :)
i love how much you guys talk about how much you love each other!! glad i stumbled on your channel!!
Just an idea for a vlog is a "Fish Extender" gifts. Just gifts that you both gave and/or recieved. Just to get some ideas. Oh and don't know if you'll collect disney pins, that'll be pretty interesting as well. Maybe just combine both in one. Cheers.
We're already planning to do a video on the fish extender gifts we're going to be giving! We will also do a Disney Cruise haul video with all of the pins and gifts we get while on our cruise! :)
I get motion sickness as well (very easily). I just recently found sea bands. I still take Dramamine with me just in case :) Also Ginger Ale is better for nausea (I learned that from a crew member).
We may have to try the sea bands, we've heard really good things about them from others as well. Fortunately, now that Sherri has started taking dramamine before we get on the ship, she hasn't had a problem! :)
My daughter and I are going on Disney Dream November 26-30th. We are so excited. My daughter is 27 and Autistic so this is a GREAT vacation for Mom and Daughter. :)
Aww, you guys are going to have SUCH an amazing time together!
LeggLife we are excited!! Where are you from? You look so familiar to me
I always had the impression that cruises would be soooooo boooooring. I've been doing lots of research and I feel like I have been missing out! I'm already going to Disney World in October for my 30th, but maybe in 2019! Sounds like so much fun! Thanks for making such informative videos!
We were SUPER skeptical about cruising for a long time. However, after our first cruise, we were totally sold on it! I do recommend starting with a shorter cruise to help gauge if it's something you would enjoy. If you book a 10-day cruise and on day #2 you realize you hate it, you still have a loooong time to go. Thanks for watching our video and we're glad you found it helpful! :)
This was REALLY useful! We're taking a first Disney Cruise (To Alaska) this summer and this really put me at ease.
I'm glad to hear that! You're going to have an AMAZING time!
for adults: SPA! 16$ / Day, cheaper if you get the whole cruise in advanced. Steam Rooms, invigorating showers, hot stone lounge charge to relax at the end of the day or after going to the gym.
That's SUCH a good tip! We've heard so many good things about that. The $16 cost is great!
R u guys going april 14th for the star wars cruise ? We are headed there now lol
My suggestion is to pack 2 nights before, it has always helped me because I always tend to pack a lot and my favorite clothes. Then what happens is that I need to wear the clothes I packed and then I mess up all the work that I have done packing. Great video keep up the good work! :)
That's a good tip! Thanks for sharing!
We are going on first cruise next year in March to Mexico your videos are Great so informative Love them and you guys too.
Thanks so much! We love hearing that our videos are helpful!
We have completed the fleet and agree 100% about size. We actually much prefer the smaller ships but then we don't like crowds, so fewer people on board helps that! :)
SO awesome that you've completed the fleet! We're half way there and want to try and compolet them before the new ships are launched!
You mentioned the Disney Vacation Club. Are you members of the Disney Vacation Club(DVC)? Did you attend the Vacation Club Presentation? My mother is a member and she really loves it. What do you guys think about DVC?
We aren't DVC members, but we are going to be doing a DVC video here on our channel very soon where we talk about it abd give all of our thoughts!
I love your vlogs! Your reviews of the Disney Cruise line convinced my husband to book our first cruise! We will be at Disney World at the end of September for 7 days then board the Disney Fantasy for Halloween on the High Seas for a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise! I can't wait to see what you come up with this year
You mentioned you were going on a cruise this April, we are taking our first Disney cruise on the fantasy 7night April 28th, could it possibly be the same cruise you’ll be on? :) great video guys!
Hi! We're actually cruising on the Wonder out of San Diego on the 29th. We hope you have an amazing time on the Fantasy!
LeggLife thank you guys so much!!! You guys have a wonderful trip as well!!! Totally enjoying all of your videos and tips! Enjoy Tianas place again, it looks awesome! :)
Today we are 41 days out! Sailing the Fantasy, Western Caribbean :) I also suggest instead of Dramamine going to your doctor and having them prescribe the Scopolamine patch for motion sickness. You stick it behind your ear and only have to change it every 3 days.
41 days?! How exciting! The patch is a great tip! Thanks for sharing :)
My best tip after cruising for 30 years is take the once a day chewable non-drowsy Bonine starting the day before the cruise and continuing every day until the day after the cruise and I've never been seasick since.
Yes! Such great advice!
LeggLife it's such a waste of money to go on a cruise and then be sea sick the whole time. I'm glad you mentioned that in your vlog. Be proactive take the seasick medicine. And enjoy the cruise.
Exactly!
Love watching you guys !Any tips for port excursion Disney Magic Europe Cruise -When is the best month to cruise?
Hi! Unfortunately, we've never done a Disney cruise in Europe so I don't think we can help you with that one. Are you a part of the Disney Cruise Line Junkies Facebook page? It's a GREAT group to join to ask questions like this.
Shore Excursions yeah (make sure to tell them first time cruisers don't get the same perks as second and later so often times everything will be booked when their window opens) - PALO is easy to book right when you get one no worries there - Princess and Frozen meet and greets great thing to do is go the second to last night to the customer service desk and they have tons of tickets that no one ever got -
Great tips! Yes, the first time cruising can be difficult to get things booked. It certainly gets easier the more you cruise :) Thanks for sharing!
Going on my Disney Cruise March 5th got my tickets for Frozen and have reservations for Palo we are doing dinner. So excited can’t wait. Did my first cruise last year we did the door magnets and the fish extender had so much fun. And we did room service for breakfast we had a veranda loved it. We did early dinner and saw the shows after it was great. We missed a lot the first time but with your help and other vlogs I think iam go to go. Oh almost forgot on our sea day we booked the Senses Spa 😊😊😊
Sounds like you guys had an AMAZING time on your first cruise, and I know this one will be great as well! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!
Incredible tips, you two. Sherri. Those ears. Incredible.
My favorite pair of ears she has ever made.
I’ve watched hours of Disney cruise tips today as we just booked our first cruise. You two have been the best, most informative and absolutely great to listen too. Thank you 😀😀😀😀😀
Hi, Michelle! First, congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! That's incredibly exciting :) Second, thanks so much for your comment! We love hearing from people who find our videos helpful!
You guys are a great font of knowledge, loads of tips! Not sure it will ever be something we do, maybe when our kids are older if I can convince Jon!!
One tip that saved my bff last cruise was that I suggested we change our cell phone lock screens with a selfie and our stateroom number and the ship’s name. My bff left her cell phone at Serenity Bay, the adult beach on Castaway Cay. We did some shopping on the way back to the ship and she didnt realize her loss til we were back in the stateroom. She made a frantic call to guest services. And it turned out her phone was there. The cell arrived on board ship before we did! Bonnie didnt get a chance to add her stateroom number to her lock screen but guest services could easily identify the phone was hers by her picture on her lock screen.
That's such a great idea!
Sherry you should sell your ears I love them
Brenda, I keep telling her that!! :)
I've heard you are suppose to tip for room service.
Blessedly Made Yes! The room service food is included, but you should absolutely tip the room service attendant!
😮 HOW has it been 4 *months* since I've seen your vlogs?? (because.. "life", but..) I'm BACK and I've missed you guys!!
I got ENGAGED on the Disney Fantasy on September 28th! My fiance popped the question in our concierge suite after we watched the fireworks @ sea from our balcony.
I still need to do a video/photo post about concierge cruising through Disney! Lord knows, I *thought* it would be a one time/"only for a special occasion" thing for us.. but my fiance and I are HOOKED! We didn't even book the placeholder *because* it doesn't include concierge reservations. #Spoiled
I am *really* hoping one of the 2 new ships will start offering Hawaii cruises again! We are planning a Disney Wedding for 2020, so that's our potential honeymoon hope. Or.. we'll just come back to Alaska and take you out to dinner!
Hi! Welcome back :) Engaged on the Disney Fantasy after the fireworks?!?! AMAZING! We've heard such spectacular thing about cruising concierge! Also, the latest rumors online are that the two new ships may allow the Wonder to be permanently based on the west coast which could include more regular Hawaii cruises. I hope that's the case!
can you do a whole video on fish extenders?
Awesome tips! We have NEVER cruised yet but I don't doubt our FIRST cruise will be a Disney Cruise. Hahahah Thanks so much for sharing your tips and tricks. XXOO
Oh man, your family would love the Disney cruise experience!!
This was very informative and insightful!!!
I recommended you guys in a recent video for Your disney Cruise advice :-) thanks
Hi Amanda! We saw that! We loved the video and thanks so much for recommending us! :)
Thanks so much for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️ I just subscribed and gave you a 👍. We haven't gone a Disney cruise 🚢, but I'm trying to talk Mike into going on one. Hope y'all have a "magical" weekend!!! 😊😚😉
Hey are you guys ok heard there was an earthquake in Alaska 7.9 is that anywhere near you hope you are safe and well.
I was not aware of the facebook groups for specific cruise dates. Thx so much for all your advice!!! You both are awesome and such a joy to watch! My kids like watching too!
Hi Kim! Thanks so much, that's so encouraging to hear! Yes, the cruise pages on Facebook are SUPER helpful!
If it’s just you two going on the cruise do you still ask to sit alone?
We do, only because we love our time alone, so getting to have a date each night where it's just us is wonderful! We do know a lot of people who really love sitting with other people they don't know, and that's awesome! It's just not really our style :)
Yes, this is the kind of thing I would love to see on your channel
You guys are honestly so adorable! Your Disney cruise vids are my absolute favourite:)
Enjoying your videos! I have been on 3 cruises (was married on one) . I want to try a Disney one. Do you book with them directly or thru agents? Thank you!
Hi! We totally recommend cruising with Disney! For our first cruise, we booked through an agent only because I had never booked a cruise before and I was nervous and didn't want to mess anything up. Since then I've learned the process and now just book everything myself.
LeggLife thank you!
We love cruising on the Wonder. Because when you get off at Castaway cay there is a lot less people.
Exactly! We noticed a BIG difference on Castaway Cay when we were there on the Wonder as opposed to the Dream.
This video was so helpful. Thank you for sharing! I just booked a Disney Cruise for the end of this year and I'm so excited! This is my 2nd Disney Cruise but I have to admit that my 1st cruise I just went with the flow and followed the leader. This time, I'm the leader and I'm nervous to mislead. Haha! I have 2 questions I hope you can answer: I know room service is free but you should tip. Can I give them that tip in cash? Also, How do I know what I want to do on the ship every day if the personal navigator changes daily (For example, drawing classes, trivia)? Is there a way to look at this in advance? Maybe I'm overthinking this. 😊
Love the video guys. We are going on our first DC out of San Diego for two nights in Oct 5th, 2018. Was wondering if you know if this particular Cruise has its own Facebook page? I can't seem to find one. Thanks
Great tips... very, very helpful. Thanks, would love to see more. So, I believe you have to link up a credit card to your room key/card and use your room key to make on board purchases, but what about tips during dinner and/or room service? Should one take cash on hand for tips or can you add tips to your room as well? And (sorry for all the questions) how does one find your cruise via Facebook, by just searching cruise ship and date? Really interested in joining a "fish extender group" you know for the kids sake 😉. Thanks again.
Hi! So most of the gratuity will be handled at the end of your cruise and will be added to your cruise bill. However, there are a couple of people (bartenders, baristas in the coffee shop, and room service attendants) who aren't included in the total gratuity. So, we always bring a stack of $1 bills to use for tips for those people! A lot of people don't know that they aren't included in the gratuity, so they don't tip them. They deserve to be tipped for sure! For your Facebook group I would just search for your cruise ship and sailing date. For example, we're on the Disney Wonder on April 29th, So I would probbaly search "Disney Wonder April 29" and see if I can find it that way :)
LeggLife - Awesone thanks so much.
Great video!! You guys probably already know this but just in case...if for some reason you don’t get Palo brunch beforehand, go straight to guest services once on board and you can most likely sign up then. It’s amazing!! EnJoy!!
Such a good tip! That's totally our plan if we can't get Palo brunch on our upcoming cruise!
I am courrious if you have any children who travel with you or if you know anyone who does... We are wanting to do a cruise with our 1 yeat old son... I am very scared of traveling with him but he is a huge PJ Mask fan and that is a Disney thing and so we are thinking about a land and sea thing for his second birthday in January 2019...
Hi! We don't have kids and have yet to bring our Neice or Nephews on a Disney Cruise, so, unfortunately, this is an area we don't have a lot of experience in. If you're on Facebook there is a GREAT group named Disney Cruise Line Junkies that is full of helpful people! I would recommend joining that group and posting your question there. I bet you get a lot of great responses!
i wish this video was longer! Great tips guys, really want to eat at PALO badly but with 2 kids may be hard, we will see.
Hey love your channel!,(I came her cause' im going to a Disney cruise tomorrow morning at 9:45!i cant wait to go!!9btw im 9)I think these tips are gonna be helpful!
Just wondering if you know, do they make accommodations for food allergies? My daughter is allergic to dairy, we’ve always wanted to do a cruise but we’re too afraid because of food allergies, she can’t have any milk or milk products at all 🥺
There are a few components to saving money on cruise trips. One place I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Arack ship tips (check it out on google) without a doubt the best plan that I've seen.look at all the extraordinary information .
Thanks for the info! New subscriber 😊
Ok so my husband just freaked when he saw your seatle mariners hat. Also this is our 1st disney cruise and what are some fun things to do for boys?
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! What age are the boys?
LeggLife 9 and 34
Do you know what ship you will be sailing on? There are SO many great things to do on board. There are always movies playing in the movie theatre on board and on the screen by the pool on deck and they show a lot of Avengers and Star Wars stuff, along with the more classic Disney films. There are things like basketball and foosball up on the decks as well as the pools. Plus, unlimited soft serve ice cream! What guy doesn't love that?! :)
Legglife we will be going on a 4 night cruise on the dream
Try a repositioning Cruise, it is absolutely the best Cruise ever. We did the Magic to Europe 15 days wow it was amazing.
Room service was my favorite! This last trip in December I went for a standing order of fresh fruit and tea. It was fabulous to be woken up to my favorite things while enjoying the veranda. The time before that my 3 boys would order after I fell asleep and sneak the room service fellow past me. One night I woke to a stranger w 4 plates of hot wings at the end of my bed! Sweet fellow but I was surprised. We brought lots of tips just for them. I love your Disney tips videos!! I’m excited for your next cruise. I booked 2 placeholders in Dec and can’t decide where to go. Hoping to be inspired.
We're booking 2 placeholders on our next cruise for sure! SUCH a funny story about your boys ordering room service!
Room service coffee delivered at night still hot in the morning ready to drink without opening door fo waiter..also Mickey bars are available only from room service.good tips I enjoyed your video
Seriously one of the best videos I’ve seen on Disney cruises. Thank you!! Are the brunches at Palo & Remy kid free as well?
Great video! Can't wait to meet you guys! April 29th 🤗🚢
Yes, we're SO excited for the cruise! Less than 100 days!
As someone who gets seasick sometimes(I use Scopolomine patches or Dramamine if needed) a tip I picked up was to try and make sure you booked a cabin that was lower down and midship vs high up and front or back where you can really feel those waves..
Yes! Such a good tip
my wife and I just booked our first Disney cruise for our 30th anniversary. we're going in 2021 im may. we're staying in the aft balcony. has anyone stayed there before? really learned alot about this vedio. never thought we could call Disney for a private table .
Thank you for the tips! We are going on our first cruise in 2021 for my nieces graduation gift! Thank you thank you
My family and I are planning to book our cruise for March 2019 and this was by far the most helpful video! Thank you so much!
Hi! We're SO glad to hear that! We will have A LOT more Disney Cruise videos coming up over the next month as well!
You do need to tip the room service waiter. At least two bucks, more if you order a lot of food.
Yup! Absolutely tip the room service attendant! Along with bartenders and baristas on the ship!
Seasick on first evening as we crosssed the Gulf Stream. The brunch at Palio’s great
I’ve never been on a Disney Cruise but it looks and sounds so fun!! I am hoping to go soon. Thanks for all the tips! 😁
I normally don't like these types of videos, but this one was really helpful and informative. Great video guys!
Thank you! That's really encouraging to hear! Thanks for watching :)
What all cost extra on Disney Cruises
Great vlog! I love the Disney Cruise tips! Can't wait to take our family! I'd love to see what kinds of gifts y'all gave for the fish extender. I really need some ideas!☺ Love your necklace Sherri!😊
We will absolutely be making vlogs on our Fish Extender gifts!!
Super guys, wr really want to do a Disney Cruise. Thanks for the information guys
You're welcome! As always, thanks so much for watching :)
My tip: At sea days are the BEST! Take advantage of the extra classes. I found an enjoyment of drawing in the animation classes and have drawn every day since we got home.
We're SO excited, because our upcoming cruise has TWO at sea days! We love everything the ship offers when you're at sea!
☃️🌟⭐💫🌠💘💞⛄❤️💓💕💗💝🎄❄️Merry Christmas 🌹 Everyone
don't ever book a carnival cruise. unless you want to party and loud ship.. once was a enough for us...
Loved it! Thank you! Can't wait to hear about your cruise! We didn't get around to room service last time but we definitely will when we sail again in July!
You're welcome, thanks for watching! :) What ship are you sailing on in July?
We are sailing on the Wonder to your neck of the woods : Alaska! Your commentary about how much you loved the ship has made me even more excited if that was possible lol. I'm looking forward to have a nice blend of trip and vacation if that makes sense? When we are off the ship we will do all kinds of outdoorsy, more adventurous excursions and when we are back on the ship we will do a whole lot of relaxing! Plus we have the added bonus of getting to go back to Vancouver, BC where we went on our honeymoon. Can you tell I'm a little bit excited?
i forgot to tell you my beautiful wife wife be 50 on yoo. my wife and love to travel. and love being together. just like you
Just went on our first Disney Dream cruise last month! Having withdrawals! Thanks for sharing these tips! I also loved using the Disney Cruise app (Navigator on your phone), I tapped on the activities I wanted to do and it would remind me 15-10mins before the activity would start. It also tells you tine and location of where the Characters are going to be. Can't wait to go on our second Disney cruise! Also from Anchorage :-)
Hi! Yes, the Disney Cruise App is A-MAZ-ING! We use it SO much on the cruises. It makes everything so easy! Nice to meet another Anchorage Disney Cruise fan! :)
How do you find the fb group. Is there a set of rules for names? Does a guest or disney create?
How do you book and get a ticket for the princess meet and greet in the atrium?
How do you look up who's cruising with you on Facebook?
we booked the Disney fantasy cruise ship....
Ok, watched most of your Disney Cruise line videos, did my first cruise last January and I am kinda hooked... so convinced my friend to go on the Disney Dream for 4 nights. We had planned to go a full week to WDW, but now it's only 3 days to the parks, and then onto the cruise :) Thank you so much for all the tips!
If I may give a suggestion for a new Disney Cruiseline video, how about going through the process of checking in, PAT, embarkation, debarkation process, express walk off etc. Cruises are so different from getting on a plane or a bus, etc. people might need some tips or a 'walkthrough', especially first time cruisers!
Keep up the great work!
Those are great ideas for videos! We will add them to our list. Thanks!
Thank you! I love these tips! Planning our first Disney cruise trip for Oct 2019 to celebrate our 10yr Anniversary with our littles, siblings and my parents! These tips help! I’ve already found the cruise group on FB. If you could do more tips and tricks videos that would be awesome!
You're welcome! We love hearing that this Tips & Tricks video was helpful! We will definitely be doing more of these in the future! :)
Thanks for another awesome video! I'm surprising my kids with a Disney cruise is in 18 days! Which etsy shop did you order your fish extender from?
This is the Etsy shop we got our Fish Extender from: www.etsy.com/shop/BullfrogsButterflies?ref=l2-shopheader-name
Thanks a bunch
Thanks so much for these videos!! My husband and I are total Disney fans and LOVE Disney World. Going on out first ever cruise, Disney of course, in sept 2020 and looking to find out as much as possible.
Oooh, well we think you're going to LOVE cruising with Disney! We hope that your first DCL experience is a magical one!
I’ve heard a story where a mom made her kids take half a pill of kids Dramamine and axadently put them to sleep😂😂😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
They no longer do the navigator thing and you ether have to use the app or go get one at guest services
We have been in over 20 Cruises and unless we travel with friends and family, we always ask for table for two. We are reaching our 50th wedding Anniversary and we still enjoy romantic dinners. I love your videos! Just subscribed!
Thank you so much!!
I’ve been watching a bunch of cruise videos...you guys are great! Great info, great delivery...thanks!!
Hi Dave! Thanks so much, that really means a lot to us!
We are just going to be missing you on our cruise.
How do you look for your Disney group chat??
Another tip: Go see the nightly shows, they are awesome!
Yes! Great tip! The shows are SO good! We love the entertainment that Disney has on board.
What do you search for in Facebook to find your cruise group? I typed in Disney Cruise Line groups, the date of our cruise, and the name of the ships all variations and nothing came up
What is the date and ship of the cruise? We can help you look!
Great video. So glad I found you guys. The one tip I learned after my first Disney cruise was to pack a sweater. It gets cold in the restaurants and theaters at night. Also windy up on deck at night.
Yes! We always pack one hoodie or heavier shirt for that exact reason
great!
Hey are you guys ok haven’t heard from you for a few days
Hi Brenda! We're safe indeed! Thanks for thinking of us!
This was extremely helpful, I'll be going on my second Disney cruise in April :)
Oooh, when in April? We're on our 2nd cruise on April 29th and we can't wait!
I'm going April 1st on the Wonder :)
Great tips, we enjoy eating at the large table for our meals. It's interesting to meet people and get their take on the vacation. When we are booking a trip we also go by destination and then research the ship.
Sherri, I LOVE those ears !! I have never seen those anywhere and they are so cute.
Good tips! Sherri made those ears for our last cruise, aren't they great?!
Sherri, if you make another 10 pairs I bet you could have them sold in no time. They are very unique and pretty with the rope. You could pay for an excursion just by making ears !!
Donna, I keep telling her that too! Maybe we can convince her :)
I'll be taking my first cruise October 2019 and your videos are so helpful. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I don’t usually leave comments but, your video was so helpful that I had to say thank you!!!
Thanks so much! We absolutely love hearing that you found this so helpful.
So far this has been the most useful tips video! Not just stuff that is already on the website! Thank you!
We LOVE hearing that! Thank you so much!
