It has a smaller contact surface so it doesn't get dragged so hard.

That bouncing tire is likely due to a completely blown/missing shock absorber. You are seeing the spring just doing it’s thing without the damping needed for smooth road contact. Super dangerous.
I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on that clip. I had a tire that ended up going lopsided because I hadn’t had an alignment and it made the car to dangerous to drive … scary stuff.
that happened to us in christmas break on our way to vacation
It could also be due to an improperly balanced wheel.. A major improperly balanced wheel.

That fact about the windows actually is quite surprising to me lol. My dad's house is pretty old and it always had a few windows that sealed up like this, never knew it was because of that!
Yeah the window tax was created in the Georgian period many cities in England from that time such as Bath, has many of these windows and now they sometimes incorporate it in the new buildings to keep the tradition.
The UK wasn't alone. I used to work at a Ukrainian settler museum in western Canada. Early immigrants built houses with just one window thinking that the window tax had followed them from the old country. It hadn't. Later houses had more windows once the word got around.

If you've ever been in a really strong wind you know how terrifying that tornado footage is.
I remember thinking to myself at first "Ah, it's just wind, I can handle it." and then it gets really intense and nature gives you a reality check.
You instantly feel weak and vulnerable against the elements.
The comforts of modernity have trapped the vast majority of Westerners in an illusory bubble resulting in loss of the fear/reverence of nature we should all maintain.
ikr
Some storms in Kansas that don't even have tornadoes have straight line winds up to around 80mph. Even that is enough to pick you up and slam you down a hundred feet away. Tornadoes can have winds near 400mph, so there's some perspective for anyone that didn't know much about the force of wind.
When hurricane Rita hit my town back in 2005, my younger brother woke me up that morning, telling me to come outside and feel the wind, lol. We lived in an apartment with a breezeway, so if anything began to fly around, we could duck back inside. Our apartment building jad woods behind it, so mostly it was trees waving heavily back and forth (and yep, they could've landed on the apartment. In that case, being outside would've been better so we could dodge it). We were only out their briefly but you had to truly fight against the wind when it picked up. Was kinda fun, if being honest.
And then the power went out that day. My mom became concerned we might not get it back for awhile, so she began to grill most of our meats, lol. We did get power later that afternoon or evening, and only later would we learn how awful the damage was (the wind broke the windows in our high school that overlooked the courtyard. And the evacuation situation from Katrina called for our busses to be used as well, so we missed school for a week. Some of the people from New Orleans, which my family would move to two years later, attended our school. The 'Nawlens accent tickled everyone).

@Mikenoobz true
Although the window tax was a thing, in most cases mock windows exist purely for aesthetic reasons and were built like that in the first place. Thanks for the great videos :)
Why would they be as it takes extra to build around a window.
I do know that people boarded up windows to save on heat as for most of their existence, they were horrible insulators.
@@SlayerofFiction it's quite common to see mock window openings on older buildings in the UK, usually on buildings at least 100 years old. Sometimes it is quite obviously been built like that from new, such as when they infill it with 2 square slabs of stone to replicate a sliding sash window, or when you see a large chimney stack above with multiple pots, and there is clearly no space in the wall for all the chimney flues to have fitted around real window openings. Such design features were done purely for decorative reasons so as not to interrupt the rhythm of the facade with a big peice of blank wall on a multi storey building. They are most often found on a building on a street corner where they needed more wall space internally to place the fireplaces on.
@@andyarchitect You don't understand economic history in the slightest.
@@SlayerofFiction Dude...
@@SlayerofFiction So your question was "why would they as it takes extra to build around a window". I have tried to explain from an architectural perspective. It is not all about build cost. The design has to look nice in order for the client to pick the architect, for the client to want to spend the money building it want to build it, to attract good rents from tenants, etc. Repetition on a facade was a desirable design feature at that time, and therefore mock windows were often used to achieve this. Regarding heat losses from windows, the kind of people who lived in such buildings were usually the middle classes and would not have been overly concerned about fuel costs. In any case, most windows in such buildings would have had fold out timber shutters internally to help keep the heat in. I'm not denying that a window tax existed in the UK between 1696 and 1851, just that it is not why we see mock windows on many buildings today. Its been over 170 years since the tax was repealed so nearly all windows blocked up in this time will have had the windows reinstated by now during remodelling work, and in some cases it will have been required by subsequent legislation. Regarding my understanding of economic history, I'm not use what you are basing this on as I'm talking about architectural history. The point of my original post was merely to make a minor clarification for educational purposes and to thank Daily Dose of Internet for his great videos.😃
The line between mr crabs and England gets shorter and shorter lmao

It is a RAT...Not a Mouse.
That’s because that rat or mouse has toxoplasmosis. It’s a virus that turns fear into desire in the rodents brain. Rodents usually fear cats urine smell but when they have the virus they follow the scent. Because it turns what was once supposed to be fear for them to get away from that smell to now follow it and get eaten by the cat. Toxoplasmosis is a virus in cats and a lot of people hate it too. Look up Joe Rogan Robert Sapolsky Toxoplasmosis. It’s very very interesting.
