Almost immediately after going carnivore earlier this year I noticed big changes. More energy, less hunger, better sleep, less brain fog. Within a few weeks I noticed a lot less joint pain, greater flexibility and mobility, and a lot more energy for exercise. One time about two months after going carnivore went to dinner and although I ordered meat only some of it was deep fried in seed oils. I felt like crap for days. Never had a problem with cravings, but do have a problem with habits. Best practice is like he said, don’t even go near carbs. Which makes sense, the culture has after all turned you into a carboholic.
Best of all, I’ve lost roughly 1-2 lbs a week without even trying. In fact pretty much the whole time I’ve felt like I’m overeating. Where on carbs I was hungry all the time and starving to lose weight on carnivore it just happens. Oh, and I eat bacon, eggs, ribs, ribeye steaks, ham, chicken, what’s not to like?🔥

I loved carnivore when I ate like that. But as I got older (now 66) i stopped. Keep an eye on your liver-a carnivore diet stresses it considerably.

This is so timely and so significant. This represents one of the convergences that represents where we are politically. I often wondered why I saw a lot of the same folks on the same side of crypto and the carnivore/keto movements...but it just makes perfect sense.

Fascinating conversation! However, as a longtime professional advocate for food policy and regulations, I have to tell the audience that “eating what your grandmother ate” (HT: Michale Pollan) isn’t that simple, primarily because it’s difficult to find and intentionally unavailable. We the People have to return this food to the system and build regional ones as well. Food is very different now as our soils have been degraded and the animals in the system have different genetics and are eating poorly rendering them unhealthy for us to consume. We, the People, need to lead on this so our leaders will follow.

We’re now living in Guatemala. The food in the mercados is still simple, fresh and affordable-and it tastes like food. Yes, expensive, processed junk food is also available and unfortunately increasingly popular, but for the most part it’s beans, rice, vegetables, homemade tortillas and some meat here and there.

As someone whose been in heavy disease and came back. This guy is on the right path and I appreciate his work. BUT, he will eventually find the problems with carnivore. You need some fiber for bowel motility and toxin removal. Pooping is a huge part of detox. Im not saying to eat all veggies, fruits, or grains Im just saying you need to find some fiber that works well with you, and start slow if you have problems. Meat only will lower inflammation for a temporary period. It will crank up your sympathetic nervous system response over time. We need carbohydrates. But we also need fresh whole food forms, and diet is always individualistic. Removing pesticides, additives, preservatives is a must. This is why the other European countries do OK. They have lower toxicity problems in their food, air, water, less 5g and EMF exposure, etc etc. All these stressors accumulate on the body.

Great interview! Almost none of the Keto, Paleo, anti-seed oil, community knows or talks about this... The food pyramid was printed in the 70s telling us to eat 11 servings of grain a day and its obvious it was related to massive inflation at the time..

I've been vegan for 6 years for numerous reasons but primarily for health and animal cruelty. My bio markers have never been better, I lost 150 lbs and rarely drink coffee due to the spike in energy. There's always two sides to a story and there's scientifically proven concerns about the over consumption of red meat, to each their own.

The vegan diet is not natural, ZERO ancestral diets are vegan, it is not how we evolved, it is much less healthy then a whole food no processed food diet that includes meat. At the very least a vegetarian diet is much more healthy then a vegan diet...

In the thousands of years between the agricultural revolution and recent times, meat was scarce and a luxury for commoners. So, i don't know where he gets the idea that our ancestors were eating so much meat, and nowhere near the 85% he says his diet consists of.

OMG. Thank you Emily for this important interview reminding us of the vital importance of returning to an evolutionary "paleo" diet. One unfortunate omission was any mention of seafood, which humans have been consuming for at least 165,000 years, and probably longer. Life evolved in the ocean eating from the marine food web that included plentiful omega-3 fatty acids. These super-bioactive molecules remain critical to the optimal function of every cell in our body, including our BRAIN CELLS, but are all but missing from the fiat-fueled, seed-oil plagued western diet.
Omega-3s are the primary inflammation modulator, and 'silent' sub-clinical inflammation underlies nearly all non-communicable diseases. In sharp contrast, the cheap, subsidized grains and seed oils that saturate today's food supply are 'main-lining' PRO-inflammatory omega-6 fats, driving the epidemic of chronic diseases now afflicting its adherents. Correcting this imbalance and restoring it to our evolutionary norm would save trillions in avoidable medical costs, lost productivity, and untold pain, suffering and death. But this would be catastrophic to the balance sheets of Big Ag, the Medical-Pharmaceutical Industrial Complex, and the politicians and regulators they own. More than one NIH scientist has been thrown out for trying to tell this story.
"There's no money in healthy people. There's no money in dead people. All the money is in sick people." --Bill Maher

It is not the carnivore diet but the chemicals they need to put in the process foods that is the problem and that is allowed only in the U.S. . The McDonalds foods and cereals in Europe are actually good or not that bad because it is missing all the chemical ingredients in almost ALL U.S. foods.
