CORRECTION: 17:23 I said that in Malleus "Oh Mother" is the "give me more RP" phrase - this is incorrect, it is the DISENGAGE/SLOW DOWN phrase.
I’ve been WAITING for someone to finally address the Larp/BDSM crossover and consent culture, thank you!
We're here to have healthy conversations about important stuff like this! It's important that the community is able to touch on this stuff!!
💯💯💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️ THANK. YOU. SO tired of every other lifestyle being accepted and openly discussed but BDSM is still considered a deviant lifestyle. Bravo ladies, BRAVO!
This video is so powerful, thank you
I love these long form conversation videos! Your "What is Larp" finally convinced me to try it for myself and this chat is fascinating so far!
Interesting
Awesome video, One of the things that always stopped me from going Larping was the fear of having pictures taken.
At most larps your can let them know you do not want photos of you taken and they WILL respect that!
@@RaquelSkellington thats great :-)
I love this inside look into these two communities and how they interact.
Great video and very informative for people that havent larped! Exited fo part 2
FINALLY~! As someone who trained in a BDSM dungeon for many years in my early 20s, I can relate to Rae as someone who also indulges in LARPs as a hobby.
I have been DESPERATE to find "Adult" themed LARPs, or at least ones that are comfortable with the presence of people like me. Because it is a FACT that a majority of people, especially at LARPs have Fetishes, Kinks, or Lewd interests. But because of the prudish puritanical roots of American society, they feel uncomfortable or fearful of expressing it, or even discussing it in private, let alone in public situations.
I am GLAD that Rae and Raq are FINALLY discussing these subjects in the proper context.
finding a larp near me is hard
I would love to see more adult larps. but I see that may be a bit away still here in america. If I was more experienced in creating an adult larp I would. but I don't have that experience, nore would I know where to even start, then finding time, resource and people to run is a whole new different side of it all.
I’m glad you got to the point of self awareness… but dude, I see way too many that are not even close to understanding themselves or others.
Seems like utopia you speak to me. Reality is a big slap in the face, that we need to wear when you are confronted. thank you for sharing. And love honest miming crazy situations.
I have some thoughts on alcohol. A mechanic that i have been content with is rather than having wet larps you are allowed to simulate drinking alcohol but in reality you stay sober. for example you are allowed to "get drunk" and beat someone up (in a pre choreographed scene for example) but in order to do that it is important to stay sober.
and i come from a nordic background
@@aino1415 I have been at experiences that play that way too! I think it's 100% valid to prefer that kind of experience. I don't mind either way.
I will occasionally partake myself so it's not a deal breaker for me. I've been to many larps with absolutely 0 incidents happening.
Knowing one's limits and boundaries is important if one wishes to drink and larp.
None of the "wet" experiences I attend allow drunk fighting. Staff has a breathalyzer on hand to check participants if they think anyone has been drinking and not being honest.
I know them! :P
