Kirwan constantly gobbling up Mils talk time.
Oh stop it.. .
And yet still you keep watching...
mills needs to talk more than
Barking collar
Coridoro haha why? Feel ya
It's like Jeff and John can say anything and mills just have to agree
I just can't watch this show when Jeff and John are on together. Kirstie is good but I watched Kirwan throw his arms up when Italy was mentioned, then he put his shoes on the table, then I switched off. I can just imagine how the rest of the show went. Mils is OK, guests are usually OK but Jeff and John, sorry, but no.
One of them has to go!
Aye. And what a great Italian coach he was so, and the Italians barely hung on after standing back to admire their very good work and then allowing the Welsh a crack at them. The fella was a very decent wing, back in the day, but his narcissism is over-bearing these days. He's a "me-me".@@Ipbrown
I like them they’re the only ones who have an opinion, the rest are too nice
That's wings for ya - its all about me!
Great crowds? Did JK not say crowds hate the current game? Seriously need to get another pundit to replace JK. He keeps interrupting....so infuriating
Congrats to Ireland, but realistically, without that gift try from the throw in, that was potentially another loss. Scotland got up for that game for sure.
We'll take the win ta. The Scottish 2 made a mistake, our Dan punished it. It seems to me that ever since we defeated the All Blacks in 2022 in NZ in the Test series, we are disliked by so many New Zealanders. Yer man Sir Joe 90 and his wee mate Gold-sac really lead the pundit mob. I must congratulate the English performance against us at Twickenham though. They played exceptionally well and won fair play; no 'gifts'🏴☠☘.
2 dodgy disallowed try decisions by ref and officials.
But breakdown usual gibberish.
@@KernowekTim disliked? Not at all, with so much kiwi influence over the last few years, Ireland are my 2nd team to get behind after the ABs!
You could also say one of Irelands disallowed trys should not have been disallowed.
@@KernowekTim I think it's more to do with the arrogance displayed by many Irish fans and certainly by your media. I remember watching fan interviews from France before the QF and the Irish fans were incredibly cocky, claiming that they were going to walk it and the ABs had no chance etc. Granted there were many fans who were nervous about the game too.
The team also comes across as being cocky, namely Sexton, O'Mahony and Lowe. Whereas I can't think of one Springbok player that I dislike.
I find your media to be ridiculously arrogant. Even now I have seen a few of them mention that Ireland should have beaten the ABs in the QF as they were a better team than NZ. Based on what evidence?
Best wishes to Isaac Boss from all his friends here in Ireland. Never forget his break away try v england in croke park. And can't wait for our game v the kiwis in November. Still the standard bearer in rugby, so the more often we get to play them the better. Love the breakdown. Great show. 🇮🇪 🏉 🇳🇿
Seru Uru is eligible to play for Australia.
This guy is very good player. He can play lock or blindside.
McReight and Uru combine well for Reds. This is guy 6ft 6 ins.He has tremendous ball skills.
The Wallabies will have very good team this year.
NZ leading the world again... no other rugby nation is having this level of conversation about governance and structure!
Kristi Stanaway tummy's growing, all the best for u and the lil one 🙏
Watching from 🇿🇦cape Town S.A,, Love watching the breakdown 😊
Bro the amount of forward passes In the cheifs vs Drua game was questionable 😳
Boshiers 2nd try off a forward pass, and Shaun Stevensons Try the final pass he got before he kicked it was forward. Thats just two off the top of my head that led to trys and I am a chiefs fan.
The thing that annoys me is crooked throws into the lineout. Are the Refs and ARs crosseyed?
@@colinmeehan791 you talking about all the long line out throws that go into the back line?
Every game this year has a few more missed penalties and knock-ons that will be picked up at test level.
Ive been talking FORWARD PASSES for years ..& suddenly all you slow coahes finally WTF up because you see it in one match ! ..ok must be Drua fans ,..it is ..as it is .. ! BUT FORWARD IS ALWAYS FORWARD ...& it happens far too ferkin much ! ..in my personal opinipon .
Reds are good but have not come to NZ yet
A bit of a one eyed view of the review from Rob Nichol . To be expected i guess , as he is representing the people he is employed to represent. Would be useful to have some input on the program from one of the provincial unions that he is so quick to criticise. The organisations that develop and manage the pathways that provide him with the people that he represents.
They're usually the problem, looking out for their personal interests not the interests of the game and the bigger picture. This is why in mature professional markets there's a lock out every 10 years because the players put their foot down. In NZ the administrators of the game hold all of the power
Other than to reinforce that NZR should adopt the outcomes of the report he actually didn't answer any of the questions put to him and none of the commentators held him to account about it
@kairakuwaeldreor3868 Are you suggesting that ex rugby players aren't journalists?
For all their complaining about World Rugby week in and week out when they finally had Beaumont on leading into the World Cup they only kissed his a$$.
@@geofflecren8827 Fair point, well made😀
@kairakuwaeldreor3868 Having Beaumont or anyone from NZR etc they have to play nice otherwise they run the risk of being blacklisted. Rugby in many respects still isn't fully professional (an environment in which people can be held accountable) and is just an old boys club.
on the nichols segment:
pay attention to the language he uses..."stakeholder"
if you know, you know.
Yes the Hurricanes look good so far. There's no reason why they couldn't go all the way (Chiefs supporter).
I’m a ‘Canes fan and I want them to go all the way, but I think the only way they will is if they take all of their opponents seriously, ESPECIALLY the teams they’ve beaten already. Those can be the banana skins in knockout rounds. I’m super wary of all of the NZ teams (Chiefs most of all) and several of the Aus teams.
Any of them can go all the way if they are on song and if team’s don’t take them seriously. I’m also not writing off the Crusaders until it’s confirmed that they are out. Their pedigree warrants that much respect.
It's a weird segment talking about a report, "some provinces" that are clearly being problematic towards it and a SGM that most viewers don't have any context on. It might be worth explaining the exact problem you are all trying to solve. Otherwise it just sounds like clichéd business waffle.
And that is exactly what it sounded like.
this is Asafo Aumua's chance to force back into the AB'S especially if they win the championship
can't believe that Moana Pasifika don't have a home base in Super Rugby surely this is one of the key elements when you present your case to be included in this competition . Any chance NZRU can help out
To answer your point, they had one when they joined the competition
Shocker but like Melbourne Rebels it's their final season Wot happened 2 Mt Smart base?
@@darrinbeazley4563Groundwork or something, idk.
I thought they were based in North Harbour Stadium this year
I wonder how different rehersal is to the taping session.
Might be more about the NZ teams being weaker this year than aussies teams being better. Might be wrong
I think it is a bit of both. I think the Reds are certainly playing better. Brumbies i think are more or less the same and i think its a bit early to tell on the tahs, but i feel they are better now. The kiwi teams i think just having a bit of a reset in coaches and key players leaving, makes sense they are a bit weaker this year.
@@StarLeo_ lets hope the SH teams don't fall into a false sense of security this year when the NH teams land for their tours. 🙄
It's not a question of NZ teams are weaker, not at all. It is only because Aussies teams are becoming more competitive. NZ teams can just improve more.
Nah the Aussies are 100% playing better. So are NZ. Lots of players stepping up with all New Coaching staff watching on for the National Sides.
Crusaders are the only team that's gotten weaker, rest are pretty much on par or gotten stronger.
If private equity is literally saying there are too many professional players(cutting wages) in nz and they want to package the game into one easily sellable striped down product then no one should trust this. Im very confused about the "fit for purpose" line too. What is the defined purpose they are talking about being fit for?? And who is going to make money off this?
You got the nail on the head. The Americans have been licking their lips at a sport that is 100% controlled by the administrators without a strong player union. Expect rough waters ahead
Why do we have to comply with Kirwan's version of 'good' footie?
i hope they can finally agree that perofeta is not an AB 10
Stephen had one bad game.
We must judge our players over the entire Super rugby comp.
We will see how he stacks up at the business end of the comp.
Selectors are looking for consistent performance.
@@markrutherford6010 yes i agree over time , thats my point. nothing personal but no X factor at all.
@@center__mass I reckon has playmaking ability.
His goal kicking let’s him down.He doesn’t play percentages well.
Cameron is better goal kicker and he plays the percentages well.
@@markrutherford6010Cameron would be my choice. Looks consistently good in all areas of the game and bc we need McKenzie at Fullback he seems the best choice for our next no 10
@@navahchapman8793 McKenzie is no good under the high ball.
So I wouldn’t play him at fullback.Jordan will be right for the test season.
On form Love is the best fullback.McKenzie is the form flyhalf.
Once again Cameron plays the percentages better.Barrett will be back for test season.
Flyhalves should be : McKenzie,Barrett and Cameron.
Cameron will get his chance.I would play all three and see who is the best.
Test rugby is another level.
Huw Jones try was something special 🎉
Rob Nichol should also be appointed the CEO of Waffle House because that’s all he gave us.
Stevenson would be good at 15 in all black. Brayden Iose, Ruben love and Josh Moorby are in good form and contenders for higher honours. Jordie Barrett can play anywhere, he's so quality. We're thin on 10's in all black experience. McKenzie is good and creative but I think his defence in that position at the highest level is a bit risky in my humble opinion. I'd consider switching Jordie to 10 at Hurricanes.
Kirstie is expecting. ❤❤❤ Congratulations to both and a healthy bouncy child😊😊😊
These guys forgot TJ's score in the conner in rugby world cup??
Guys, what I would like to see back is when the halfback puts his / her hand on the ball at scrum, ruck, the ball is deemed "out"
Boss is far too one eyed when it comes to Ireland to give an honest opinion imo. Ireland are an ageing team with so many players on the wrong side of 30, and it's not going to be easy for them to replace these guys.
For him to say that England were not good and that they were lucky to beat Ireland tells you that this guy is not an objective observer. England were very good against Ireland and France and they have a lot of growth in them, more so than Ireland imo. Love him as a pundit on other teams, just not when he's talking about Ireland.
It should be easy for them to replace these players, just come down to the southern hemisphere and offer contracts to Mercenary promising players in their early 20s, and join the national team once they become naturalized.
Go watch ☘'Wolf-hounds' Go watch ☘U20's. We have some great followers. Don't worry about us fellah. Ireland are "The Great Dis-liked" in NZ. Why is that, I wonder🤔? 2022 ring a ball? Ah, well, it gives the World Champions a break😉😊🤘👊👍.
Ireland could just bring /buy in some more players from the SH - the hypocrites!
Agree re irish players coming close to retirement. Ake, furlong,POM,Murray and Healey likely wont make the next wc and there is genuine questions over Beirne, porter, henderson, lowe etc. too.
Similar squad age profile as SA, both have talent coming through but you cant replace that experience and IQ overnight it takes time.
Lol the old classic ageing side nugget. Ireland introduced three young players to their first team for the six nations and won it, including a new 10. Irelands under 20s also havent lost a six nations game in three years and made the world cup final. Lots of quality talent coming through. Both NZ and SA have as many older players as Ireland SA in particular SA come on the ageing squad nonsense is wishful thinking.
I love this show, thank you very much!
Looking at the schedule, there are three games where the same teams play each other a second time eg the Crusaders play the Waratahs, Blues, Chiefs twice. Can someone tell me why the schedule can't be shortened by three weeks, and cut out the three games where they play the same team twice?
JK and Jeff are really copping it in the comments each week 😂
Yes
Even if the Crusaders lost 9 games and won only 5, they can stil be in the top 8. That's what the Reds achieved last year. Super Rugby is a very forgiving competition.
Rob Nichols said so much without saying much
corporate blather
That try by Coates against the Wahs is nearly impossible to defend. That's why they're doing it in training.
Get rid of that big child jK and he ain’t no sir
Steven Bates should be permanent on this panel.
James Parsons has good analysis as well, on the Aotearoa Rugby Pod.
Looks like a Canes vs Chiefs final!!!.If they can stay injury free..My team the crusaders are going to find it hard to back up this year with all the injuries!!! But still a crusader 💯😎👌🏽
Hurricanes Vs FijianDrua SemiFinal 2024!
I like this show
I get it - NZ show, NZ bias. Though it is clearly more satisfying to praise when sincerely due. It's curious, with all NZ success, it has not resolved into overcoming of the level of insecurity that results in such bias.
Yes harmon was great last yer to.
Lota good 8. Jacobsons goin real good.
Look after learning couches
Well done Ireland 🇮🇪 👏 👍 🙌 😀
Many thanks to you fellah. That is a nice thing to say😊🏴☠☘
Agree with a pathway. Imperitive in life.
How is JK on air?
Why not Hawaii for Moana Pasifika?
Coridiro?
Not alot of breakdown talk-hence very little rugby. mr white shirt 5 mins tops, not a ridiculous 15 minutes them further panel discussion. Their proposal is as clear as mud-9 people on board, imagine the conflicts there.
Hurricanes dominated the whole game, the scoreline flattered them. Canes should have won by 21 points easy
IOD should be capable of appointing the board, problems I can see is they’d appoint too much on a fit that doesn’t understand the salt of the earth unions.
Pie in the sky thinking is dangerous. Yea we will be back here in 2 years, half a mill in consulting fees, half a mill in directors fees and back to square 1.
If the NZRFU wants to shortcut that process to go nowhere. I’m open for hire. I’ll do the recruitment for free and get a better outcome.
Define fit for purpose.
Should have talked about Owen Frank's red card because that lost him a lot of respect. It's going to be really hard for the returning players. That's for shore
Sure
his suspension helps the Crusaders with the way hes been playing,
Hurricanes have the Rebels then Highlanders meaning they'll surely get to week 8 undefeated. Crusaders to get to week 8 without a win, what a great time to be alive.
Then Chiefs, and then Drua and Brumbies away. These will be tough.
@@sprigcs No problem unless we lose Aumua or Lakai. Also Canes need to put Tucker on the bench or back into wider squad because thus far he's done far more harm than good on the field.
@@scottyRAZERrobzDelaney was really good last year. i know hes more a 6 but still..
I expect Lakai to be sparingly used over the latter half of the comp sans injury. He is still a young buck and needs to be managed properly so that we don't break him.
JK is getting more and more irritating.
100% agreed - he's bordering on childish
goldie and Jk at least they do not have Marshall on the panel. 🤣
Marshall is much better then those two
Please bring the Provincial union board members on and let's have a real good look because as someone like myself who is keeping an eye on it, I have no idea what is actually happening.
The best No 7 in New Zealand was Ardie Savea😂😂😂
He should captain the national team then.
@@geofflecren8827 The same people who didn't pick him as No 7 make that call to
@pixelpotato4874 only, he has been a National team captain.
@@geofflecren8827 yeah, and hopefully Razor makes him Captain fulltime
@pixelpotato4874 he's not even eligible, you don't pay attention do you?
Ireland have a lot of players on the wrong side of 30! This show is not real most of the time.......
Guys, we have lost the flair of running and attacking rugby. Did you actually count the number of times the ball was kicked? It's ridiculous, especially in the quarter of the opposing side.
Yip, as i said: my wife doesn't know the pundits asked why everyone talks over Mils, the more balanced one re comments
The problems with Rugby will and always will be the Rules and European referees
Not sure why they are talking Ireland up as this amazing team. They did not perform at the World Cup, they are not world number one, they were pretty lucky in the 6th Nations.
Hows that then. Beat the champions in the pool game. Beat everyone else up to the quarters but succumbed to the AB's. The AB's are always dangerous. Constant put downs on the Irish team yet for the past 2 years were only beaten twice.
Ireland had to keep their world cup tradition alive 🤣🤣🤣
MusMasi…hahaha😂
Yes they can'
I would love Moana to play in Samoa but business wise, they will ruin the organisation because of corruption. Tonga would be a better option because their tourism can grow with Moana. But maybe they should talk to Fiji rugby union and share their field with Fijian Drua. But Fiji are doing amazing with Fiji Water and Fiji Airways. Hopefully Samoan and Tongan businesses really offer up something for Moana.
Rob Nichol is an imposter! Just a word salad of BS. Just keep taking the money mate.
Ohhh is he really like that? If he is then dam the game ain’t moving forward in the future
Unroll your jeans JK, there's no style in showing your ankles lol.
Well done to the boyos! Another Championship win! 😊🏴☠☘. No Grand Slam, so lots of happy people, in certain sectors, 'Down South'😂😉. Scotland were excellent; it was a proper Test. The English are 'on the up' again too, they beat us in London and fair play to them, no whines or whinges. The refereeing was sound...... But to beat the French in Marseilles😉, I mean Lyon, you need to bring your best game, so fair play to France too. Italy did exeptionally well this term, but Wales are truly in the doldums. Sir Joe 90 is a bit "feet on the table" loud . Jaze🤣
The wheels will fall off Ireland for sure.
nah they will just recruit more mercenaries from the southern hemisphere.
No
My thoughts exactly
I THOUGHT...it was MORE INTERESTING TO TALK ABOUT HOW THE CRUSADERS HAVE LOST ¤ IN A ROW !!...it appears not an interesting topic ? ..why is that ?
Forza Italy best six nations eva
All this money for light show and the club game and community game is on life support. Where's all these multi million Silver lake money??
Master at saying a lot but saying nothing there Mr Chief Executive. Best situation in this situation is for you not to be back. 9 person board, that’s gonna go well 🤦🏻♂️
Calm doon Joe 90
They wasted the silver lake $$ paying out 27 unions so all 27 unions could have lots of SUVs driving around ...all while rugby shrivels and dies. No kids playing..too dangerous
Not a mention of rhys patchell
Didnt play
Mils is a Queenslander supporter? ... sad, very sad news, he'll be better off backing NSW, LOL. It's never too late to change sides mate
Reds are looking like the 2nd best side this season, but then again it's only been 4 weeks
@jdhif I like the reds, they're one of the top teams from Aus, but I'm assuming he means state of origin, backing the maroons.... devastating and shocking from Mils, lol
@@NMSQ2770 I hadn't listened to much of it when I made the comment, just assumed you were talking about super rugby, I also happen to support the Blues
Are we supposed to celebrate Italy's win because JK does?
Well this is racist 😂 let the uso speak man
And the tūāhine also
God JK makes this hard to watch.
Mills is a wonderful human being. Sorry for him to work with the idiots around him!
Wow NPC talk. How to talk about something and not say what exactly are the concerns. Nichol the master of saying nothing......
roigard showing how foolish foz was for not selecting him we wouldve won the cup if foz had selected roigard
cant stand jk
We have a negative review every few years and just keep Walking down the same path. That path is The men’s game becoming a youth development camp for foreign leagues and a couple all blacks who reach their peak performance in their early years and earn a big enough contract to stay in NZ.
The Pilkington review sounds like an excuse for silver lake to takeover NZR’s only profitable asset (the all blacks brand) which the bought a few years ago. NZR spent the money on player salaries, making the government happy during covid and other money loosing ventures.
Meanwhile good player go overseas in their primes as soon as foreign post covid money comes online and more kids switch to football and basketball and there are less potential Coaches players and opportunities.
Rugby in New Zealand is toast. It is turning into the worst parts of USA and Fiji rugby. I hope I am wrong.
Kirwan has verbal diarrhea😮
Can not stand JK
the "secret" Sir JK, for 20 years has been FOCUS: a from-the-ground-up organization and integration of the IRFU (Kudoes to David Nucifora the ex HP director) , the provinces , the clubs, the schools and the scouts to build a conveyor belt of kids who want to play and are good at rugby. A central contracting system that encourages home grown development with generous residency clauses to add in those overseas-born players who can add that something special; a wonderful series of antipodean coaches Cheika (Leinster), Schmidt (Leinster/Ireland) and Erasmus (Munster) who brought in the nous and professional mindset to get over the underdog "give it a lash" sh*te and move forward as f$$king winners. Envy, admonish, pick at Ireland if you like, but the transformation from perennial wooden spooners to serial winners twenty years later is nothing short of remarkable. Its good for the game ......and I am enjoying every effing minute of it. Onwards!
Well said.
I do think as well that the IRFU looked the NZ model way back and made that game-changing central-contracting call (e.g. if you're out of the country, you're not playing for us). There was one exception with JS but that was it. Same as NZ. Obviously having more population / more top flight clubs could improve strength in depth somewhat further but 4 seems to be OK (atm).
