Lots of young Iranians think the streets of the west are paved with gold, that people there live without hardship and every young person has their own car and home. Very often they come to the west, work in minimum wage jobs realise they have to pay lots of money for things like water and electricity and can only afford an apartment that's half the size of the one they grew up in. They see the homelessness the addiction and if they're in America they find out that things like transport infrastructure are much better in Iran. Others of course thrive and for some anything is better than living with the oppressive laws. But there is a huge mismatch between perceptions and realities.

your statement is wrong and one sided because it only emphasizes the challenges faced by some migrants, ignoring the significant benefits others may experience, such as increased freedom and better opportunities. Most of them mentioned the names of European countries, but I think Japan is a country that does not receive the attention it deserves. Japan is at least as developed as Europe, but it is a completely different world from Europe.
As an Iranian I should tell you that young teenagers in Iran love South Korea and Japan because of Kdramas and anime and their interesting culture.😅. But for living and immigration we prefer European countries.
It's really sad to hear them say that they want to live in these first world countries when in fact it's because these countries that have made sanctions against Iran that deteriorated the economy of Iran. Such wasted potential, Iran really deserves a change.
the first guy answers both question with iran, perhaps saying he loves iran but hates those who're currently running the government and mullahs would be more accurate!
I am greek. Trust me we are not happy but we are not poor either ! The lowest income is below that of most other European countries but many greeks have good jobs white collar jobs and make enough money. But since 2020 the country has been under an atypical dictatorship pretending to be "democratic" and suicides and murders have gone up. Also since 2021 the prices of gasoline electricity and supermarket products have increased tremendously.
The good is that Greece is filled with culture....a country like USA doesn't have a culture, there might be opportunity but there is a fake plastic culture and people there.
In the video, most folks chose Western countries. If you ask people from the West, they usually go for places with lots of history, authenticity, and of course, safety.
I used to believe that it is crime in Iran if a girl is not wearing scarf or sari And it is mandatory for a foreign girl traveling to Iran to wear scarf I've read a news that said a boy was arrested for kneeling down and proposing to his girlfriend in a public area Please correct me if my knowledge is wrong 🥺
That's true my friend but after the protests 2 years ago, more people are walking in the streets without scarf and because their number is large, police can't do anything. They sometimes come and arrest a few people but Iranian girls don't really care about it and they do what they like to do.

It is good to see different perspectives; it's always a chance to learn new stuff. Keep it up-just a couple of notes. Canada is overrated, way too overrated. The cost of living is super expensive; even if you make good money, it's hard to get by. Ya, it's immigration-friendly, but something has changed recently, as the cap they implemented to reduce the number of international students. It is not that safe, and there are homeless everywhere. It's a beautiful country, but the government is a disaster. About Italy, hey! That lovely older man said we are poor. In southern Italy, ok, I get that, compared with other parts of Europe, but the north of Italy is one of Europe's wealthiest and more industrialized areas.
In the eyes of many Iranians, the issues you mention may seem less significant compared to the severe challenges they face at home. For Iranians dealing with political repression, lack of personal freedoms, and economic instability, the struggles of life in Canada or Italy might not resonate as strongly. Their focus is often on escaping systemic issues and finding better opportunities for themselves and their families, which can overshadow criticisms of other countries' problems. while the issues you raise are valid, they may not hold as much weight for those seeking to improve their circumstances by moving somewhere that has freedom.
Although I'm from Israel and because of you we had to run for shelters and children were scared a lot (and much more because of "them"), I do believe you are nation that is striving for freedom and peace as much as we are. Wish your country the best you wish yourself. Hope we'll be friends again just like before. Who knows.
none them had any clue about the country the claim they like, those are the people given chance few years in to their migration choke on it and want to go back
I'd say much of northern europe. Humane and progressive. A society is judged by the way it treats its most unfortunate. By that maxim, north Europe would get about 6 to 7 out of 10 for me. My nation India would get about 0.5 to 0.7. America between 1 and 2.
Your heart will sink when you arrive in Canada and look for a place to live. Don't forget to bring every kilogram of your gold bullion with you. You'll need it. And as Canada (pop. 40m) is short 4-6m homes, has a slow pace of home construction and now accepts >500k immigrants yearly (or 1.3%🤯!), this will worsen for years.
Your heart will sink when you realize that many Iranians are fleeing severe political repression and human rights abuses to find safety and opportunity, despite the challenges they might face in Canada. The issues with housing and costs are significant, but they don’t negate the desperate need for escape from FAR WORSE conditions. WORSE THEN WHAT YOU HAVE IN THE WEST.
Bottom line iranians like the West and other countries. Like other nations despite what media is trying to impse. USA RUSSIA CHINA CANADA EUROPEV(JUST ABOUT ALLNATIONS) AUZZIES ETC
Honestly your place is good, "some" changes will elevate you to the next level. canada is too expensive to live and the current government doesnt know how to run a society.
Oh wow you must be an amazing expert not doing a single research besides watching small clips!!! Honestly, people seek to leave Iran despite challenges in Canada. The high taxes in Iran, compounded by economic instability, inflation, and a complex bureaucracy, can make life extremely difficult. While Canada has its own issues, such as high living costs and government inefficiencies, they are often overshadowed by the severe economic and political pressures people face in Iran. You think the iranian regime knows how to run a society???
The living standard for my family and pretty much EVERYONE I know is fine in Iran....we arent particularly rich or tied to government in anyshape...in fact we are secular Iranians and Iranians have this illusion that they move to US they can be rich. They dont see that they have to study here to get a reasonable paying job and maybe they afford to buy a house. This can be done in central US if one is a skilled professional but doing this in California is extremely hard. Not to mention all the other drags and disadvantages of living in a western country as an Iranian, one racism, one different culture, other lack of community and friends....Iranians who have it well in Iran imo, dont move to the west to start over. Because its becoming less and less likely that people will succeed financially here.

You sound ignorant & irritated. They know Australia wel enough, but they don't want to go there. It's far far away. Most of Iranians prefer European countries, not far from home.

your statement is wrong and one sided because it only emphasizes the challenges faced by some migrants, ignoring the significant benefits others may experience, such as increased freedom and better opportunities. It also fails to consider the severe issues in their home countries that drive migration, providing an incomplete and skewed view of the migration.

I used to believe that it is crime in Iran if a girl is not wearing scarf or sari
And it is mandatory for a foreign girl traveling to Iran to wear scarf
I've read a news that said a boy was arrested for kneeling down and proposing to his girlfriend in a public area
Please correct me if my knowledge is wrong 🥺

Welcome to Brazil iranians!
Is the hijab mandatory for women in iran? Why weren't some women wearing it during the interviews?
Because they don't want
Its true that it exists in the form of law, but it is not a problem if they don't have it
Not one person chooses Australia or New Zealand? Plenty of Iranians here in Australia
I think first they choose Canada then England
Although I'm from Israel and because of you we had to run for shelters and children were scared a lot (and much more because of "them"), I do believe you are nation that is striving for freedom and peace as much as we are.

Oh wow you must be an amazing expert not doing a single research besides watching small clips!!! Honestly, people seek to leave Iran despite challenges in Canada. The high taxes in Iran, compounded by economic instability, inflation, and a complex bureaucracy, can make life extremely difficult.
