I absolutely love the tour pros taking time and talking through their thoughts and habits and drills. It is incalculably valuable info for us amateurs.
One of my two all time sport heroes! Not you Matt, sorry, i mean Nick Faldo! One or two times a year i watch the masters 1996 final round - brilliant golf from him! A tactical masterpiece with a fabulous swing and mental strengthness. You all can learn from him, not distance is the key for success in golf, control his it. He took a 7 iron on the 12th at Augusta safe and well placed. Others played waterball with her 9 or wedge... Nick Faldo, Severiano Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer - all in the same age and together nearly unbeatable in the ryder cup. That was a time when the European tour was the benchmark for quality golf... Thanks for this video Matt! Great stuff as always.
New subscriber Matt, follow Peter Finch and Rick Shiels for a while but having seen you on their channels and now seeking more golf content I'm so glad you are also creating this great content keep it up!
What a great teacher. He’s such a nice guy that has a calm demeanour with simple tips. Really enjoy listening to him 👍 Great Vid and great job getting out of the way and recognising when a master is on a roll 😀
Excellent stuff. I love scenario practice (I usually don't have to invent scenarios - they just happen by me hitting bad shots.). This evening I saw a chap on my course. He'd hit a tee shot into a place where there was a big oak tree between him and the green. He picked the ball up, moved it to the middle of the fairway and played in. My immediate thought was "why on earth did you do that?". He'd learn far more trying to manipulate a shot around or over the tree. I like the challenge.
It's always fascinating how us armatures make the game so difficult, but when you listen to these pro's it is so much more simple. They literally just visualize a shot and then try to execute it. Here I am thinking of all these positions and angles and what not.
HMMMM... Nick must have been watching Mo Norman videos. He is the one that started his swing with the club head addressed 18" behind the ball long ago.
This confirms it for me, Faldos off his rocker......wtf was he doing ffs 😅 I honestly started laughing ..hes all over the shop. Matt asked for something simple to help ballstriking and he got a golf drill and word salad. Is Nick off his meds again 🤔
Nick knows and we know he’s made a great name for himself in this game he has excelled at. It was some achievement. Certainly much more than knocking down a bunch of coconuts at the school gala day. Golf is important but it’s not our everything nor should it be. Golf can teach us about life. How to get a perspective on things. Seemingly all good golfers get lessons. Yes there is the afterlife. Most don’t want to think about it. They don’t want to be taught by Jesus Christ who rose from the dead.
Never liked his swing, looked low powered and kind of whobbly. But man could he execute, and i guess he took preparation to the next level, in any aspect. Fun to listen to as well. A lesson with leadbetter was my first golfvideo, watched it probably 10 times, in parts more. Tried to copy stuff, but after all those years i would say he's too technical of a teacher for me. It suited Faldo though, obviously, being meticulous about every detail of the swing himself. Was the same years ago, but now i play by a certain feel, ballflight and divot. Making it more of a reactive kind of game instead of trying to achieve so called perfect positions with my body .
Give advice but sad to see he's no longer able to fully demonstrate with such disintegrated technique; Langer and other players of his era are still fantastic ball strikers.
@@RK-jc8oe His last major win was '96, last tournament win '97; his technique and ball striking has completely gone. Langer won two majors and is the greatest senior player of all time; he retained fitness, motivation and technique.
@@jamesthain980love Langer as well. Love his dedication. All good. One of my favorites. I guess we could say the same about Nicklaus. It depends upon your priorities. If you love playing golf more than designing or whatever your interests are outside golf, then that’s where your time and energy will be focused. I Jack once said, what’s the point of continuing to beat the guys I beat for 30+ years. Obviously his interests were outside of competitive golf after all his immense success…. Just like Nicks. They could have kept winning, but had other interests outside of competitive golf. Like I said, it’s all good. Langer loves competing in his senior years, so that’s where he puts his energies. Just depends upon your interests. Nick and Jack weren’t interested in amassing wins any longer in a senior setting. I watch Langer all the time, and find him very inspiring. One of my favs
Could listen to Sir Nick all day long. It comes so easy to him! Simple game
I absolutely love the tour pros taking time and talking through their thoughts and habits and drills. It is incalculably valuable info for us amateurs.
He's not exactly a tour pro anymore. He can't compete now. Not good enough, unlike Langer and Jimenez. He's really just a self publicity seeker now.
Loved the around the tree tip!
Yep yep yep yep yep yep yep 😂 😝 Matt yep yep. Great video with a Master
😂
Never thought about the KNEE"S but how right he is ! That was a great 15 minutes well spent.
Thank you Matt and Sir Nick !
One of the best lessons I've seen on UA-cam! Well done Matt!

I could listen to Faldo all day. Best tip...just have fun with it and try different things.
Love listening to Sir Nick Faldo . Still have his videos in a box when he was working with David Leadbetter.
Love sir nick always has good drills 🏌🙂👍Well done matt
Nick almost knows too much about the swing to be able to verbalise it properly in short tips. Incredible swing technician.
Totally agree, he says just do this but does not tell anyone how to do it. Interesting but does not teach me anything
Love listening to Faldo

Good on you Matt. You come across as a decent bloke so great to see the channel growing to the extent you can get folks like SNF on. 👍
Best and most simple video I have seen in a long time that would help most golfers if applied correctly. Loved it😁
Wow! Amazing to see him on your channel. A true legend. Matt you're pretty cool too. 😎 Love this!
A tsunami of information that started with a simple question on ball striking… yep.. yep.. yep… 🤔🤔🤔🤔
What a great teacher. He’s such a nice guy that has a calm demeanour with simple tips. Really enjoy listening to him 👍 Great Vid and great job getting out of the way and recognising when a master is on a roll 😀
Matt Fryer hitting the big time! Big improvement in videos. Keep it up 👍
So jealous, watching Sir Nick winning the 89 US Masters got me into playing golf
I love his last words, Simple as that…
Nick and Fanny. What a pair!
Great video. Could listen and watch Sir Nick all day
Love that guy! Sir nick is so cool!
Starting a foot behind the ball was how Moe Norman used to play and he was arguably the most consistent ball striker ever.
This was great to watch. Just enough information in here for me to take away and somehow get worse
Are you sure ?
Surely he could have given us at least another 75 complicated drills 🙄
Awesome, I was absolutely mesmerised by that 😊
Brilliant video! Love Faldo!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
You gotta love Sir Nick Faldo. He has time for everyone. 🙂
Absolute class. Gold dust
Another great video Matt

Great information.
Good stuff Matt.
I admire Sir Nick, what a class act. I thought he was moving to Colorado or Montana?

Dropping gems 💎
Matt “yeah” Fryer 😂
Sir Nick has a future as a UA-camr
So good.
Nick keeps popping up today
Listen to Nick for hours
Marco Pierre white of golf, true wisdom and mastery to be able to convey complex subject matter so clearly. Thanks
This was a test of a very difficult course. I am glad it was you and not me

bick fan of nick watched him as a kid hes ages well to
My favourite player
so I hear a million time keep the weight on your front side with irons but now he says put it on the back? I give up.
I know mate, lol, work on 2 or 3 things at a time, no more, then move on when you are consistent in those areas
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
He's just the absolute don.
Yea
yeah
A great 15 minute tutorial. Miss Sir Nick commentating, the coverage is not the same without him.
HMMMM... Nick must have been watching Mo Norman videos. He is the one that started his swing with the club head addressed 18" behind the ball long ago.
Starting a foot behind the ball is what Moe Norman did
Drinking Game: Drink a shot every time Matt says 'yeah'
I’ve never heard someone say “yeah” more times in my life in 15 minutes
YEAH.
Ton of “yea”s
Watch this later with my wife at home
Hahahahaha...... Sweet as a nut. I'll show myself out.
This confirms it for me, Faldos off his rocker......wtf was he doing ffs 😅 I honestly started laughing ..hes all over the shop. Matt asked for something simple to help ballstriking and he got a golf drill and word salad. Is Nick off his meds again 🤔
Turn your 7 iron into an 8 , or maybe just play the 8 iron !
😂

I spent all afternoon hitting golf balls over a tree.
Sir Nick , great golfer but you don't him around any women..My goodness, he was 007 back in the day
What ever happened to just hitting the ball.
Please repost this video without all of your "yap's".
You don't sound too happy.
😂
Great
