Does your landlord consider shoulder pads into the door jamb "normal wear & tear"?
after all the current construction around here.. might be anything goes.
Man great video your channel is great you show us some useful tips but you do it in a funny and personal way!!!! One of the best UA-cam/Football channels
Thank you so much!
I can never find videos like this
Glad I could help
I know this video was made years ago but It was very useful after measuring myself for my pads. Thank you! Also, I'm sure you do but ignore the hate clowns in the comments :)
Thank you so much. Not so much in this video as the suit up videos. The body shaming is the worst though.
@@dashric No problem man, keep up the work and having fun on your channel!
How long did it take for you to get them shipped
If I remember correctly it was about a week or so.
i wanna pretend i know anything about sports but i cant lol😄
A little late but why were you here?😭
Hey, cool video
One question tho:
Why didnt.u get the all purpose version?
Because at the time I was a cornerback which is a skill position... I'm currently. Middle Linebacker and have new pads. Xenith element hybrid.
I got the same months a go All Purpose , it's amazing i feel realy confortable
+SMOKEY 26 I live these sooo much
SMOKEY 26 kkox oz j
SMOKEY 26 ridii
Wait can you pull that button off ?
I have the pads!!!
If my shoulder size are between M and L in the size chart. Which size i have to choose then ?
according to the Schutt Sizing chart, they are progressive from size to size. so Medium is 17-18, and Large is 18-19. If you are 18, its probably personal preference, do you want tight or not, this is only a difference of 1/4 inch on each side. which is like a typical finger nail length.
Dashric so it doesnt matter... if i choose M or L , when i stop growing?
+thomas le that's always a factor. Depending on age you might be mostly done. If you're still on the young side maybe large. If you're done like 17-19, you could still get a medium and not worry too much.
Do you think these pads would help you hit harder ?
They actually did. At the time I thought they would. But 4 seasons later they were working just fine in Europe. I upgraded last summer to new pads but these are very good ones.
Another quick question, what are the difference between the skill version and the all purpose? i’m an inside linebacker and just want to make sure i get the right one.
You might be overthinking shoulder pads. There are 2 types. Lineman and Skill. Sure some companies sell a RB/LB kind that is a hybrid. Again that is a small difference, but the most difference is in arm reach. That's really it. I use Skill pads.. sometimes folks use Lineman pads... sometimes Lineman use Skill pads. I understand they are expensive but I really think you are overthinking them. just get skill pads that fit. Most people on my team use Skill pads... but they might not fit well. you'll be fine
what size is that practice jersey?
It was large
How tall are you I want to but these I'm 14 and I play corner I'm 5'7 140 do you think a size small fit me
Dominic Gonzalez I'm 5'11". It's more shoulder width than height.
No i play qb
I wunder how you get the pads off
reach over to your back side and pull them over your head. That is what I do.
What brand are those shoulder pads
Schutt, I think I said it in the video.
What’s your shoulder length? I’m a 16-17 and my chest is a 36 but I’m still growing so I’m not sure to get a small or medium
JoeAutoo Tv they're all really depends on what stage you're at I know a lot of guys who watch my channel are still growing but there is also a point where you probably won't grow significantly more if you're in your early teens you're probably might have another growth spurt plus strength training will get you more upper body muscle. If you're already in late high school then you may not actually get significantly bigger and that shoulderpads of this size will still work for you
Dashric thank you so much for the information. It helped alot
I love this dude let me get a😝😝😝😝😝😝
Give this Shoulderpad enough protection for runningbacks of this Pad too thin ?
This is good for running backs. My work out buddy is a running back and he would use these shoulder pads.
Dashric Ty for the fast Answer:D I just thought that Pad wouldnt work good for RB's because the Pad Looks so thin
new technology can make something really strong and thin. Like with smart phones, you can get better and thinner. I have some guys who wear giant foam thigh pads. I have thin carbon fiber plates with a bit of foam for thigh pads. I got trucked in these pads during a Kick off and my chest area didn't feel it. so.. win
Dashric okay thank you
How do the pads weigh?
Less than 2 kilos.
dam ik am late in asking questions but do those little pads on the side come off? just asking
If memory serves correctly, not really. If you are talking about the "front deltoid" ones. They do however fold up really nicely. For Receiver who need to get the most arm reach in front of them.
@@dashric yes cause me personally as a Wide receiver i need mobility to move my arms all around and something light weight xenith stuff is all sold out so at this point this is my probably best option but thank you
@@dashric and also dose it come with the jersey like it came with or is it separately
@@jr.angell1479 that jersey came separately. It lasted many years until it needed to cut off when o shattered my collar bore. It lasted 3 seasons. The shoulder parts got sold to a teammate here in the Netherlands.
Would you recommend these. And when they are in a tight compression jersey will the shoulder part go down
Yes I recommend them a lot. I don't use them now I upgraded to xenitglh hybrid size medium for linebackers. But I still have these and they worked well for 4 seasons
Yes my cowlitz cobras team has compression jersey so if you find those in my gear review you can see how it fits
Dashric I see you have a small and it’s 16-17 and I have someone measure me and I was 15.7. Idk if it was done right but do they come in xs or would I be able to fit the small
Small should be fine. Like I said I'm a medium. I think.. So I upgraded. Shoulder pads don't have to be as perfect of a fit as a helmet.
Dashric ok thanks. I’m gonna think about getting them. But I was looking to get youth ones idk
Wow your a size small
What size was the jersey?
Should I get a size small jersey to match my size small pads?
I think it was a Large, I had used large in the past except for integrated pants. It is really weird with jersey and pants because each company has a slightly different idea of sizes. Currently I have Medium Xenith Shoulder pads and a Medium practice jersey from Champro and you can see in current practice videos it is BAGGY as heck. Other times I have had XL jersey on small pads and I can't breathe, might have been youth XL. It is all Super weird how they work together.
@@dashric thanks for the speedy reply! And ok, I’ll look at the manufacturers size chart.
Also would you know how to measure your shoulders for the proper pad fit?
No problem. It is Noon here in Netherlands so I am up and awake. I used a tape measure.. but the fabric ones not the industrial steel ones and I went from the outside of one shoulder across my back (about where I would hold a squat bar) over to the same part of the shoulder. Shoulder pads allow for that little variance. These are schutt small 16"-17" my Xenith Medium are 18"-19". Each company has slightly different measurements for their pads. if you were 17.5" In Schutt you are Adult Medium.. in Xenith you are Adult small. Also Lineman/Hybrid/Skill pads fit differently also so knowing your position is good.
@@dashric ok perfect! I measured from the joint and got a 16.5. I’ll redo it soon and start from the outside. I play WR and these are the pads I’ll probably invest in. Thanks again bro!! Awesome vids btw 🤙🏽
@@positivitytravels yeah 17" is probably adult small for most companies. These are probably the pads for you.. Even if you measure high 17 on the outside. The place I've seen most people measure is from the vertical seam on a shirt between the sleeve and body.
Are the belt buckle parts of the pads suppose to stick out ?
They can be smoothed a bit but this practice jersey is very loose.. My compression jerseys held them down real well
Dashric I was also trying on the shoulder pads but I it looked so confusing is there a way for you to help me!
@@awesome_agp I'm not very sure because I live across the world and and I have stuff to do during the middle of today
Dashric I mean is there a way to show me by a video for beginners because I want to make sure that I stay safe while playing football.
I have a recent video that might, might help. I am not 100% sure what you are having a problem with though
ua-cam.com/video/5Ez8HDLec28/v-deo.html
What shoulder pads do you recommend for TE/DE I’m in 9th grade 5’10
These are Skills pads in this, and you CAN use them for TE and DE stuff, But as I said in your other comment maybe the LB RB pads from companies. Something like Xenith Element Hybrid or Riddell EVX 45. They have added protection for impacting but not restricting like Lineman pads.
@@dashric thanks for the advice
@@dashric should I get varsity size?
@@MoneyBagD855 if those measurements fit you. I want to think yes.. Because some youth pads go up to 170lbs but that is 3XL. That same measurement in varsity is smaller than small... So if you're in 9th grade yeah. You get big boy pads. Like they use in the NFL..
@@dashric thanks again lol I’m new to this sport
how would you compare the bulkiness around the shoulders to that of a low profile pad such as the riddell spk’s ?
These are pretty low profile. Very similar to the spk. Many of my teammates here in the Netherlands have asked about the slimness of the shoulder pads.
Dashric Thank you for that fast of a response! I wasn’t sure if i was gonna have to pay $300+ for some spk’s because they were the only low profile ones i could find of high quality. Thanks to your video i found these and will be getting these.
Dashric do u have a updated link to these? the one in your description isn’t working
Oh wow.. Okay apparently this company stopped selling them. When I get home from football practice I'll look up a link. My phone isn't that good when accessing American sites.
Dashric forsure! apreciate it. i really want these 😂
I have the same shoulder pads
They are very good pads for skill players!
Hey bro is the skill version or all purpose please?
These are skill version. I was looking at a all purpose version from a different company for 2019 season. I'll need to think on it
Just wondering is that a small size you ordered?
yes it is Adult Small
@@dashric nice bro. Im a bit smaller than you and im not sure if these will fit me well or too bulky
What is the name o the pads?
Schutt Varsity Flex 4.0 The link to is in the description
Dashric tanks bro !
Who do u play for
Ryan Allen I play for the Cowlitz cobras
?
Hey what position do you play? I play safety, but this season moving to QB and need some smaller pads
I use these pads as inside linebacker. They are small and are useful in arm movement for getting off blocks..
Do you still recommend these shoulder pads?
Yeah. I wear them here in the Netherlands.
Inside linebacker, 182cm or 5'11", 98kg or 215lbs.
Uh.. I don't have a tape measure since I moved here but these fit fine... I think I'm 15.75... But I haven't measured since I got fitted for a Spiderman costume 6 years ago
Yeah they are adult small. Also yes. I have my original white,.. And a black and also a blue one. I was thinking yellow but that might be weird
If you go big, you can always fill out the gaps with in a passed under shirt. Or get swole in the upper body. 😉
Yeah they'll work fine for safety. They are light and easy to move around in. I've had loose and compression jerseys. It's going to be a sad day when I have to replace these
Does it come with shoulder pads all the times ?
does what come with shoulder pads? The jersey? no they are just used for the same things so I put them in the same video.
this guy is mad 😂😂
we're all mad down here
can I have the old ones
Kendrick Allen I don't have my old ones anymore
SIZE S for an adult man ? REALLY !? haha
having larger shoulders pads is actually a danger because they will move around too much. There is such as thing as Adult Small and Youth Small. they are way different in size
U totally got bullied in school
who didn't
Your Be a bulley
