To all my friends in school, I hope you find these tips helpful. I want you to enjoy your time learning and growing. A gentle reminder: school isn't all about studying. It isn't about getting perfect grades. It also isn't about trying to be friends with everyone and getting everyone to approve of you and like you. I personally wish I had these reminders nailed into my bones.
If you're not studying anything in particular at the moment, I hope that this video can still be useful to you! Even though this advice is geared more towards high school and university students, I think many of my tips are relevant to any season in life!

Tysm for all of the ideas! I love chatty videos and mostly your videos, they actually feel like you're talking to me, it makes me want to watch so much more videos. I'm not in high school nor college, I'm in elements school grade 6th, but this was still really fun to watch!! I have a quick question tho, since I'm saving money do you think I should have 2 notebooks? 1 for school and stuff and the other for my personal, fun and creative stuff? Or should I just get 1 notebook and put school and personal topics both in the same book?
My fav one was getting to know your college/school resources and to use it. I wish I had this knowledge years ago since I feel like so much of the support I had available passed me by simply because I didn’t know about them.
My tip would be an extra note on the ritualising your study time: do little bits everyday. If you have an assignment, or a couple chapters to study, or whatever it is that you need to do, identify what is the first step you need to take. The smallest first (or next) thing towards that goal, do that. If you feel like doing the whole thing, good. But if you don’t, get at least the starting point out of the way. If you have more than one thing to do - as we often do in school/college - this can help a lot. You’ll learn better this way, it will help with establishing the habit of consistent studying, it will keep you up to date, it will prevent you from burning out and feeling overwhelmed and it is just way healthier and more effective than cramming the night before the deadline/exam.
tips from my professor dad ?
my dad is a professor and he told me the number one mistake his students make is: not utilizing the Course Syllabus.
it has a lot of good information and you can plan to do things in advance if you need.
he also said the second mistake is to not do the work. he had to fail many students this past year because they didn’t turn in many assignments.
i also got a look at and explanation of his course when he first started to teach, and i remember a lot of online multiple choice programs. he said those were often incomplete and would add up, and ‘cost’ the student in the long run.

I used to find befriending a prof such a cringey behavior but when I did, it made my semester better. It also made professors easier to understand my circumstances/situation, and recognize and acknowledge my efforts in their respective classes! 🥺🥰

Hello! Thanks for watching. Perhaps try with one notebook? It's totally up to you. I encourage you to try things out and you'll eventually figure out what works for you. Ask your friends and family - they may know a method you haven't considered yet! 🤗

I want to create good relationships with my professors but i have trouble knowing where to start. My mind draws a blank when I try to talk to any of them :/
Also i think you asking to take your midterm Earlier, not Later showed them your character even more and made them more willing to give you that chance. :) usually students will ask for a date to take After they get back in town etc.
It's tough - sometimes you just can't vibe with some of your prof's! I've been there.
When you have a question, just talk to them during office hours or after lecture. I think the more you show up, the more they'll take notice of you! After all, they probably teach a few classes and that means they see hundreds of students! 🤗
The first point_ Know your teacher _ can't be stressed enough as how good it actually is. I am in very good terms with a few of my teachers and it is flawless. She lets go of little flaws and she never picks on me during class or anything. Feels good tho lmao.
