  • Tonga is a peaceful island nation, as distant from modernity as it is physically from the western world.
Ethnic Tongans convicted of murder, gang violence
and other serious crimes, are being deported from the United States to Tonga.
Forced to leave behind spouses, children, and family, these convicts are sent to a homeland many know nothing about. Will they adapt and survive in a community that is wary to have them ? And how will the influx of these hardened
criminals change Tonga: The Last Place on Earth?
    A The Mission Inc. Production

I am a Tongan myself, yet I can walk the streets without fear because that is how safe it is and how I feel, I'm not saying this because I live in Tonga! I don't I live in Australia and I go to Tonga every 2 years! The only threat there is the stray dogs.

True. Tonga isn't dangerous even the stray dog aren't the dogs only attack you or chase you if you tease them or hit them.

Not true. Maybe if you live in a small village where you know people. You can't even walk through town or the waterfront at night without dickheads trying to pick on you or asking for money or someshit. Ask me for a smoke I say I got none then they hate and start swearing. Tongas full of haters.

Apologize to Tonga: I used to be a member of an United Methodist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where they had very faithful Tongan families who just wanted to be with their own people. I asked them how they could find other Tongan families to marry into since they were in the United States and not in Tonga. They had mentioned that Tongans were also in Australia but they did not mention that Tongans were in New Zealand too. They said that they could find other Tongan families to marry into. Oh yeah.😮

@@garethhancock8525 what part of my comment don't you understand? they came from a life of crime in the US, by coming to Tonga means they can get rid of that life and start again. They get to go to a place where they can feel safe, where they can rediscover their culture, language, always having a roof over their head, never to go hungry, work off the land, enjoy the beach, sea, food, and good weather need I say more? Otherwise the alternative is staying in Jail wasting your life away...I know which one I would choose.

I'm an islander, I once like them but sometimes have to stop.
Tough, hard headed call whatever you want.
But has they say, you start as a baby and end up like a baby.

Why do they make Tonga look like a dangerous place?? Tonga is beautiful and safe because I could walk around the streets morning or night and I’ll be safe. As for those being deported, they are corrupted by the ghettos and unruly life in America. However, they don’t endanger our people. The only scary thing around my beautiful home are the dogs and being puke tevolo.

They acting like getting deported to Tonga is the baddest thing on earth. I would rather live in Tonga than over seas any day. I was at Tonga last year for 2 months. Never seen any deportees or maybe they were all in jail lol
