Having spent the day exploring the Forest of Bowland I wanted to see what a tiny village in Little England looked like, so I stopped to capture a few minutes of video and take a couple of photographs in Newton-in-Bowland. I somehow ended up recording a whole video of me walking through the village - from one end to the other.
It’s not my usual style of video but I thought it would be a great way to see what a tiny English village in the Forest of Bowland looks like. I walked past the village church, town hall, a memorial garden and monument, and plenty of stone houses along the main street. Hopefully you enjoy my walk through a fairly typical English village as much as I did.

Really cute little video. I love how different places like this feel to the big cities in the UK. Some of the gardens people had were stunning. My favourite has to have been the tiny patio out the front of terrace house ❤️

Thank you!! Yes it was such a contrast to Liverpool and Blackpool - as much as I loved visiting those places it was good to be back in the countryside.

Be careful crossing the street there. Traffic looks wild! What a nice garden.

They should really build an underpass to get pedestrians across that road safely 😂

😂😂 It's unfortunate that I didn't accidentally solve some heinous murder from the past. Next time perhaps! 😂

Hello, Matt! I enjoy your videos, and I can appreciate the effort you put into getting great shots and interesting drone footage. You really share a lot of insight and detail in your videos.
For this one, I actually looked up this village on Google maps, and followed along with the street view. I would never have seen the plaque about the Queen, and I probably would never have heard of this tiny village. I have driven through similar tiny villages here in the US, and I find them quaint and fascinating.
I am enjoying your videos, and I am looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you very much Preston, I'm glad you like the video. You know you're in a real English village when you can walk through it in 5 minutes! It was an enjoyable day in the Forest of Bowland and a bit of a bonus to find the plaque - who would have thought it! Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I don't think I've mastered the art of the one take video yet - they're pretty tough!

@@MattWhitingsEurope we definitely haven't either, but our thought process is film everything and edit out the boring sections. That way you don't miss anything either that randomly happens

That's a good game plan to be fair. I think you're doing a great job with the videos but it is difficult - I found it challenging not to know what was going to happen next, where to aim the camera etc. Also filling dead air is an art especially when there's not much going on around me. The advantage though is the editing - I've never edited a video so quickly!

Yes me too! Much closer to the countryside and no idea what to expect when I leave the hotel in the morning. Always enjoy these kind of days!
