Just got the new formula from Singapore and while it isnt too bad, the clay is a little thicker (breaks down well still) but not as creamy as it used to be. Thanks! The scent definitely sticks around, but not very strongly. Every once in a while I'll catch a slight whiff of it but it's not overpowering at all. And the hold is really quite good, definitely a solid strong/firm if you use enough product but versatile so you can have a lighter hold if you want.
It definitely is! Hmm, tough to say - they are all quite different. Northern Lights is definitely a lighter hold. Arcadian for me was a pretty light hold and really dry. Oasis for me definitely has the strongest hold of the bunch for me. Any of them would be good for fine hair though as I feel all the clays have some volumizing/plumping capability.
I wouldn’t - they are vastly different. I have thick hair and both work very well for me in their own way. Oasis has a stronger hold and is a bit drier at first, softer later. Clutch is waxier, not quite as dry though, and holds up well as like a medium-firm. Both are great imo.

Thanks! I get my color touched up every 4 weeks when I go in for a cut. The vibrant colors are semi-permanent by nature (since they basically just sit on the top layer of the hair cuticle) so they will fade a bit with each wash. Also to keep them from fading too much, you can use color deposit shampoos and conditioners like Viral or Overtone to keep them looking fresh in between salon visits!

Hey there! Sure, it sounds to me like this should work nicely for you. Oasis has been reformulated a couple times since this video though, so I’m not sure how different it might be these days
Which one would you suggest to use? i am thinking about shear revival gray ghost + amity sea salt or this with one of their tonics i have finer wavy hair and medium length
I mean Gray Ghost is extremely different from Oasis in every aspect, so it depends on what type of final look/style you're after. Gray Ghost is better for cleaner/neater styles while Oasis would work better for very texturized, matte finish stuff.

My jar is of the newer batch. Sent Chris an email and he verified himself that it was in fact the new batch and does exactly what your review says. But mine is not as lotion looking as yours. Do you have the old batch? I thought mine would look glossy like yours but it looks matte
From my understanding there were several reforms of this before I got one. I think mine was the third or fourth batch. I thought he kept it the same after that but maybe he tweaked something to make it a bit less liquidy? Not sure.
And you're right by the way, this is the very rare clay that doesn't get greasy or shiny the next day even after sleeping on it. This clay is just a masterpiece! 🎉🎊🍻🍻👌🏼😅
Clutch and XL are 1000% different so I wouldn’t compare them to this. Crafted is similar in consistency and hold strength but I think is even stronger than Oasis, and a bit lighter

@@maddhatter1206 it's a beautiful matte finish, with almost nothing, you get massive hold. It's extremely versatile and healthy for your hair too. And for such a strong hold, it washes out super easily! I'm like Matt, I've been using the shit out of it since I got it LOL 😅
I have several that I alternate depending on the day, but some of my faves are 25 spray from TheSalonGuy, Glitterati from XMONDO, Smoothing Lotion from Moroccanoil, and lately I've really been enjoying the upcoming B4 prestyler from Trent's (review coming soon!)

What’s your thoughts bout the MM Cleansing Oil? Is it able to remove water base products or light oil base products like. Claymation (says it’s water soluble) ? How does it leave the hair compared to a normal cleansing set like the new Pure set?
Cleansing Oil is okay. For me it is a bit heavy in the hair and does not really do a great job at removing products that normally would take shampoo to remove. If you have a water-based product in that rinses out with water alone, then the cleansing oil will be alright. But honestly I'd prefer the Pure set any day.
TDM Style pure is not working for me i don’t know.. my hair is really dry but at the same time smooth using it.. but there’s something wrong anyway, I don’t know what it is .. my hair looks so dead in normal light but shiny in artificial light
So since you've reviewed the nevermore matte paste, I feel consistency wise, this is similar to it.. What do you feel is better as far as hold, finish, and volume? I've never tried nevermore but I'm tempted to since it seems similar to this Oasis Clay..
Hmm. I would say Nevermore is drier and a bit lighter in the hair. Definitely has more of a matte paste type effect to it. I think this has a bit more hold.

This is stronger and stickier up front, but becomes soft like those as the day goes on.
Does it give you dryness or it retainthe moisture through all day? How did you feel Matt?
I find it to be sticky at application but it gets really soft and conditioned feeling throughout the day.

Not really - they are so different that I like to use each one for specific situations.
What do u use as a prestyler besides 25 spray? Because my hair looks about half as good as urs after a 25 spray and a blowdry
25 is still my fave. But I also alternate and sometimes use Stickmore Boost tonic or Xmondo Glitterati.

I haven’t used O’Douds so I’m not sure how that one is.
O'douds for me is really waxy and doesnt feel great in your hair and the hold isnt great. Oasis is 10x better products mate.

Lockhart's Clay is definitely waxier and has a heavier feel to it with more of a medium hold. Still a great clay, but I prefer Oasis for sure.

Are you looking to keep the curls in and give them some definition? If so then no, I would recommend something slicker with less stickiness/hold.
