This frustrates me too; to the point where my beau, was: damn. I had written an uplifting message on our whiteboard in the break room: "Remember Your why ..." and the next time I worked it was erased. I don't have time for negativity and I don't want it around me.

That's the one thing that I dislike about some of these people. I partially blame covid. No one even knew much about travel nursing before covid and now it's like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Also the nurses that glamorize it by showing what they have but not show the process. It gives a false sense of the field. I agree with you. I don't like working with these type of people. It's like most of these nurses now got into it to get their bodies done. All they do is walk around looking "cute" and sitting at the nurses station talking on the phone or on social media and ordering food. Wearing nails 5 inches long, eyelashes touching their foreheads, and weave down to their ankles. Dont get me wrong.....nothing wrong with going to work and looking cute and loving the field but if you arent doing your job, being professional and treating the patients right....thats not cool. Im sick of it. I'd rather just be short staffed and have good nurses there than just more bodies around wasting space. Some of the people in the field now has really given this field a bad look. Looks like it's being ran by the cast of reality TV wannabe stars. It's no longer professional. I dislike the type of people healthcare is attracting. I remember back in the day nurses were respected, professional, graceful, classy women. What happened!!!!
