Odashi is the only Loutre otter I can easily identify at once. She just has this unique face and behavior.
I guess because I watched Tororo growing up in detail... he is like that for me too like Odashi is recognized right away for you. I love how huge his legs and feet are... he is good at using them but they look like they could also so easily get in his way. So funny and a good man he is to his siblings too. This was a good film about Odashi and her verbalizing her loves for Mamma Loutre... very nice.

It seems to me that Beat, due to his gentle/slow nature, probably needs to be fed separately from his brothers and sister _and_ mother (Otsuyu doesn't share) so he actually gets the nutrition he needs. From his video, I think if he does then he won't need to see the vet and _certainly_ won't require anesthetic -- blood/urine/stool samples can be collected without needing to be put under. COMPLETELY different situation from our dear departed Love's.

Wow! Odashi was really inconsolable and frustrated. There was no way to calm her down except at the end when she was wrapped in a blanket and cuddled close to Mama Loutre. Everybody has a frustrating day at some time.

Oh Odashi, it’s hard to see and listen to what she needs. Sometimes we try and help animals or our pets to see what they need. I wish we had the ability to talk to animals like humans to see what they need. That way we know what they want or need instead of guessing. But otters are real smart. Sometimes we know what they need. After watching this video, I was kind of sad 😢because I see Odashi she wanted something or needed something some comfort wants to be held or pampered. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
