- Taken from NI’s most recent annual holiday gift package, which has now expired, YANGQIN captures the wonderfully moving tones of a traditional Chinese hammered dulcimer in an intuitive KONTAKT-based instrument. In this walkthrough Boris Mezga explores some of the instrument’s many features and parameter controls, and demonstrates how you can use YANGQIN to craft mesmerising melodies that will elevate any beat to a whole new level.

@@maxalaintwo3578 according to Spotify my fav genre is Hardvapour which apparently is a thing. So yeah, things have been getting out of hand for a while. 😄 Personally I think we are in a post genre era. 😄
@@recordednowhere most definitely. It already happened to classical music, jazz, and rock. Raps demarcations are starting to dissolves as well. As the world gets more globalized and music production becomes more accesible to average people, I wouldn't be surprised if most music genres converge into one (very broadly speaking here; there will always be countermovements and curveballs.) Jazz and rock have already mixed and matched alot, same with rock and rap, jazz and latin, etc.
When are you gonna release a Discovery China Series? Seriously, its needed.

Hi! I missed the deadline to get it :( any way to still download it somehow?
Drives me crazy that those studio monitors are not level! You even have a brick wall to match the height. The left monitor looks to be almost 3” lower than the right. My OCD cant take it! Lol.
BTW, thanks for the great free instrument. It’s fantastic.
lol. Yeah...I got a facial twitch from that too.
And the fact he has vertically designed monitors placed horizontally, they would sound horrible too.
It is actually only 28.63mm higher if that helps.

What's the difference between a yangquin and a cimbalom?
I loaded this into Kontakt and there is no sound coming from the Kontakt onscreen keyboard.
