really nice video ran. I liked that you didnt take a obviously shitty website as the "bad" example, but a pretty okay one and pointed out what can be done even better!
Definitely would love more videos like this. It makes me realize on certain things you point out that I'm doing in my design, and how to improve and even get inspired. Thank you!
dude, great video!!! all of your videos are, but this kind gave more specific details and insights, plzzz keep doing them! just have a food industry related website to make and this one helped soooo much! thank you Ran
Thank you for this! Learned a lot as usual. I think there was no Art direction on the first one and the designer (if even there is one) had no choice but to work with what he's got. But the blue text all over really made the site look bad. Had he maybe changed at least the color of some texts it might not have been that bad. A lot of designers frustrations is clients not giving enough resource. But again it is up to designers still to be resourceful and creative enough. But at the end of the day there is no excuse and the end result should speak for itself.
Idea : Show quick overview of both websites, give audience few seconds to pick the good and bad, THEN tell us your pick and why. The writing style of the 1st one gave some impression to me (couldn't really tell) but I took it as "bad impression" because you immediately said that it's the bad one.
Great video brother. 2 solid examples that the untrained eye would look at and ask what the difference is. Would love to support your channel somehow. Always dropping gems.
I would add a caution about the ‘bad’ site - that the two sections that swap their image and text alignment from left to right - looks great on desktop - very magazine style. however when they wrap on mobile, you end up with image, text, text, image which blurs the two sections topic focus - always consider the extra delineation between sections in your mobile styling css for RTL swaps - it’s a silly trap i find my leg stuck in to this day! Thanks for the vid Flux 👍🏻
I am surprised you didn't comment on that out of place green section on the second website. The content and structure of that part is on par with the rest of the site, but the green just comes out of nowhere and it makes the button blend more into the background and doesn't stand out as much, perhaps they should have reused the orange from the reviews section? Nevertheless, a fantastic video
Like videos like this. Could you talk more about designing with selling the companies unique selling point in mind? You mentioned that was one of the differences between the two.
I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about the first site then you said that call to action section looked like an 'error' and it clicked... the whole site looks like a Blue Screen Of Death lol
To be honest I don't like both websites. I want to get straightforward infos about the product, not an imagebook. On those widescreened websites, where text and image position always changes I don't know where to look at. I have to scroll years on this page to get the info I want. I probably would prefer an unprofessional website with many infos instead of those 0815 modern websites, where they smash me pictures and statements into the face. From the optical perspective the second website is better of course, but it's not very practical and informative. So if I had to choose, I would choose the first page, even if it looks more boring.

I'd love to see this become a series. It's a great chance to tackle so many different topics depending on what you're comparing.

Bro, make a video on redesigning that bad website 🙏
I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about the first site
then you said that call to action section looked like an 'error' and it clicked...
the whole site looks like a Blue Screen Of Death lol
Haha, thanks @Olliepop!
7:49 "Include people " the potential customers who would they want to be part of the community with,
Understood 👍🏻
The color of the Malin + Goetz (I think) should be the same olive-ish green as seen in the packaging

Question your course is an available on Spanish? Via translate?
Pls can you do a video on micro-interaction on website pls🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭 on Adobe XD
The headbar in the second site is honestly kinda hurting my eyes
Would like to see how you'd rehabilitate that garbage site.
For bad example, show xfinity.
Drink everytime he says website 😵
The bad one looks like a 100 $ upwork website from pakistan. ;)
