@mysteriumxarxes3990 I have Skyrim. I'm currently doing my first real playthrough. I do use restoration magic like fast healing. The reason I ask is because I was wondering if people are saying this as a joke because restoration is supposed to suck?

Skyrim at it's core is a half-assed game. big plans but a pitiful execution. if it wasn't so easily modable we wouldnt be talking about it to this day.
This was a good build. It's always nice to see another mage build after the fact that weapons are favoured heavily in Skyrim being able to one shot if you upgrade them enough That being said a weapon may have been some use to you. You ran out of Magicka a few times here are were stuck for a while until it refilled slowly. Wearing clothes enchanted with fortify Magicka regeneration or a dagger you can swing fast enchanted with Absorb magicka would have given you what you needed to keep blasting spells all day Of course the only weakness to this is that you need a companion with you at all times to deal consistent damage to living enemies. The only exception would be Dragonborn's Poison Rune Spell. It's a good thing that spell stacks damage but some enemies also resist that Some perks from other schools will also have some use unless you start putting points into Alteration and Destruction also. Illusion is a great one to have for my thief play throughs as Invisibility is an amazing spell to pair with sneak in densely crowded areas. Also the Quiet casting spell makes dealing Fire damage while remaining hidden easily You made excellent use of Become Ethereal here also. Master Level spells can be an absolute pain to cast since you ale always interrupted while casting them. It takes me about 30 tries to get one spell off. I ended up getting a mod that lets you move and cast it one handed so you can stack it with the dual casting perk. Made no sense to me to work you arse off for powerful spells to not be able to use them at all Illusion mages are a fun challenge to build also as pure Illusion means you have no means at all to deal damage to anyone, even undead. You instead have to rely on a companion just like with restoration but you have to buff them and make enemies run away with accurate spell hits. And you have no way to heal outside of potions either
The damage dealing spells are Vampire's Bane and Stendarr's Aura, they only work on undead. As for the skills, pretty much the entire Restoration tree is maxed. Also had points in Alteration to better use the Ebonyflesh spell and to have the Magic Resist from Atronach and Magic Resistance perks.
Wards are shields made of magika. Regular shield are part of your arsenal. Why can't we have bound shields? Conjuration and blocking would be leveled up easily and it would make for more role play options.
This game has been in my rotation for more than a decade and I’ve never bothered killing them all like this. It kinda makes me sad and angry. Kinda like people say I should feel when I watch the news.
Not exactly. The core idea is the same, but Dawnbreaker version has its own quirks...one of which is that the explosion isn't actually attributed to you by the game, meaning friendly fire and self-nuking in some contexts
I love Skyrim, but I can't play Skyrim without mods anymore. Congratulations. And it would have been better if you had Enchanting and Alchemy at 100, as well as Restoration, to have a set of 0% Magicka Cost on spells and a powerful damage buff with Fortify Restoration.

Depending which side you choose, you get a different castle as player home.
You kill Harkon regardless, but siding with the vampires let's you use his living area.
who's gonna tell him?
