I grew up with these comics, in Norwegian. Why did I not know about this series? It's so excellently animated, and the style stays so true to Franquin's original style that it gives me goosebumps. Can I find a dubbed or subbed version somewhere? Until then, I just want to keep watching despite not understanding jack shit about what's being said. Hats off to the animators, I love everything about this!
As far as I know, this series hasn't been translated in english. The French DVD version doesn't even include french subtitles - and lacks a few episodes. Maybe you could check on opensubtitles and this kind of websites if someone created them. The animation is close to the comics because the animation studio Normaal which was in charge of the series, wasn't allowed to redraw the characters. They had to use pictures from the original comics.
@@threecardstomidnight I figured the models were probably copied from the comics in same way. Very impressive how they managed to pull it off considering the limitations. I'll check out opensubtitles, thanks for the recommendation :) EDIT: They only have subs for the live action movie it seems.

Probablement une bonne dizaine. Heureusement que Franquin n’a pas conçu d’histoire de Gaston impliquant l’armée européenne ou les Marines .
