Was my absolute favourite place. Excluding only one incident with a creep, we spent 3 months their. Stayed at a friends place who owned Beach House 2 with her Egyptian hubby in Hurghada, diving every day for a few weeks, getting to meet a shark or five. Sailing up the Nile for 4 days on a Nubian Falluca. ,Went ashore every day, meeting the most generous people, playing with all the beautiful kids, watching their eyes light up when we gave them all coloured pencils, paper, lollies. . Invited to a wedding near Edfu. Aaagh, sorry, I could go on.
Damn you guys were lucky, well deserved, the hammers and than the tiger on top!!! Thanks for the upload and sharing this great experience. Thanks Klemens.
@@DickHeijboer With the luck you had the whitetip reef shark feel very standard, like sand on the beach Ha,Ha. We have thresher sharks hunting on our channel which is also very seldom. Have a look if you are interested. Thanks Klemens
GREAT video, thank you! The tiger shark was fantastic and the moray eels were amazing and the turtle nests were incredible and so nice to see the guide issuing protection standards which is SO important and let me tell you, @ minute 11:49, that diver was quite lucky as he had no idea how close he came to being bit in the legs by that oceanic white tip shark that came up on him from behind and he had no idea! Was that one of the guides or one of the divers? I think because you or the person filming was behind there gave the shark a moment of hesitation where it decided it didn't have the complete element of surprise and turned away from what appeared to me, at least, a clear bite or attack on it's way! Wow! I could be wrong but what do you think?
It was not a guide, but one of the divers. I didn't know what to think. The shark just appeared within a fraction above me and I didn't know! I don't have six eyes to look everywhere you know. The only thing you can do is stay quiet. Even if I think about all these sharks, it still feels between unknown and uncomfortable. Also because I was left with 50 bars of air and motor boats above me.... All a bit on the edge.
Indeed, and please don't think I was giving you a hard time about that at all. It was not my intention whatsoever (I know there is a lot of flaming on YT,) but I was just pointing something out I thought was an incredible moment. As a matter of fact, it happens to a few divers filming and even not filming and one comes to mind where a few divers were in the Pacific waters (I believe) filming the fishing and tagging of Marlins and the one fellow filming suddenly had one of the largest mako sharks dart by him within a few feet, from his right side and right in front of him and they slowed it down and you can see the dark eyes looking at him while he was briefly screaming in surprise but held his cool after the initial shock. So I agree with you and just really mostly wanted to say the video was fantastic.
I was there on October 19, 2015 and saw that and a second tiger shark at rocky Island Unfortunately I didn't have a video, now I can see one of them again Thank you! 😁
Coole trip.
Exact spot where I dived for several weeks 25yrs ago now. “No, no sharks here”, they said. “Perfectly safe from seeing a shark here”, they said. “So what’s that rather large cluster of even larger fish with fins heading in our direction”, I asked.
Hey divers I enjoyed watching you, I would like to know where in Egypt is that site, n how you get there, usually I dive in Central America. I love the reef, it seems that there’s a abundant marine life. Than you for sharing.
Hey, i have a question: How do you get out of the water if there are 2 Longimanus above you? Wait until they leave? What if youre running out of air? Greets, nice video!
A question, please : were steel tanks available on this liveaboard? Some of you seem to be diving steel 12L. If so, what was the name of the boat? I know it's the Serpent Fleet but I didn't catch the name of the boat. Thanks!
As an Egyptian, I would love to welcome everyone to Egypt and wish you all the best of times ❤🇪🇬
Thank you!

Hammerheads @ Daedalus, Dolphins @ Elphinstone, Tigershark @ Rocky Island. They are often seen, but I think we were also lucky.
