NASCAR will not be the same without you Jimmie. You have been a role model for so many on and off the track. Sunday will be an emotional race for you and your fans.....I'm loving the paint scheme for your final cup race.
We're gonna miss you Jimmie. Definitely gonna watch you in Indy car but hope you come back around in Nascar from time to time. I was honestly gonna quit watching nascar as all the legends I grew up with have left, but think I'll stick around and support Chase. You passed the torch to him so I'll go to him as well.
There will never be another 7x let alone another 5x in a row. Thank you Jimmy for the best memory’s in my favorite sport in the world. I’ll never forget when you got your 7th I literally cried for an hour straight afterwards. You are truly the last 7x legend that will ever walk in to this sport

I didn`t want to get emotional, but when Jeff Gordon says Jimmie`s story so well, it`s hard not to. We`ll all miss Jimmie for now, but who knows, he might still run one other Nascar race after Phoenix.
Jimmie "JJ, Superman, 7X" Johnson. The respect of all his peers, I believe, is something he probably cherishes more than all the Championships and the trophies combined. He really is a special man.
Jimmie Johnson went out like the way he wanted to be. As a NASCAR fan since 1988 I have witnessed it all from Bill Elliott's first Winston Cup Championship to the passing of the torch. There are so many memories of Jimmie Johnson throughout his 19 year career. 83 career wins and 7 NASCAR Cup Series Championships later he is already one of the best and a future NASCAR Hall of Famer.
I saw you win twice myself at Dover. Even did the burnout right in front of me in turn 1 one time. Thank you Jimmie, for making my weekends exciting for the last 2 decades+
I know Jimmie will never see this but this is my message to him I started watching NASCAR in 2014 so I never got to see the true dominance of JJ. In 2016 I was really pulling for Carl Edwards...he obviously didn't win the title, and when I saw you celebrating your 7th, I was like "the way he did it..I'm glad he won"..I went back and watched the old days when you were absolutely dominating and it was crazy. This video is really awesome, and I love the way Gordon spoke in it. But I wanna see you win one more. You have been my favorite driver, since 2016. Even tho you haven't won since 2017, I'm glad I chose such a nice guy to be my favorite.and when you go to indycar I will be ready to cheer you on...I'm sad this day has come but it eventually had to happen..you are obviously retiring after the season...go get em JJ #onefinaltime

@Jim Schwartz Ok I can agree with that but I have one problem. Dale Sr came from a different era. The cars and the training needed to be done are newer. The sport really advanced.
