is using std compulsory in c++? because i remember i have run many programs by just using cin and cout. anyone pls reply

I could do that when I used to code in C++ on Turbo C++ ide. I guess that is a feature of IDEs to support compilation without explicitly mentioning std.

you used a already given namescape called std
using namespace std;
but this is a bad practice becoz it breaks the purpose of namespace
