    Always a bit more information than I was expecting. Thank you. The ostrich thing...well obviously the ostrich that comes out of the egg at the time of hatching is going to be smaller than the egg, but since that is true of all birds, if it was a typo maybe it was supposed to be bigger than its brain or its eye. Tatty bye.

    p.s. Ozzy Osbourne used to work in a car horn factory. Most car horns are in the key of F. I wonder what ket most Black Sabbath songs are in.

    I thought about getting the Baratza Sette 270 WI because of the inbuilt Acaia scales I've the Acaia scales on their own but they're a difficult set to get accurate, as they timeout quickly

    I've seen an ostrich in the wild, and a toucan so I pressed like and left a comment.

    Although I don't have one personally I do think the Niche Zero is still pretty hard to beat as it has the best compromise between ths quality of the grounds vs the ease of use. But of course you have a couple.of significant gronders missing of course it's the Niche Duo with it's whoping 83mm twin burr sets at a great price of £799 in the UK not forgetting the DF83 which can be had for £699 in the UK. There are so many great grinders in the sub £1k range right now, I think all starting from the Niche, they can be proud that they have changed home espresso making forever. Personally I went for the Kopi Deva, a bit of a left field choice but for the price it is extremely well made, and makes extraordinary drinks thanks to it's excellent Ital Mill burrs, and the advantage of Kopi Concepts exceptional customer service, the only drawback is the work flow especially changing between brew types is not as good as the Niche or Sage/Breville grinders. The fact it is rechargeable make positioning the grinder easy even in the most awkward of home barrister setups.

      Yeah the Niche Duo was released in between filming and then releasing this video, so that'll have to be one for a future video, but yes there are loads of other potentials within in the sub £1K range, I'll do another video in the future covering other potential pairings. Cheers, Kev.

      @Coffee Kev In a way it's great for consumers to have so much competition in the sub £1k grinder lineup at one point the only decent grinders in this bracket were Sage/Breville, Baratza and Eureka and fair play to Niche they took a gamble and opened up a whole new Niche (pardon the pun) lol.

    Hi. We have the Breville (Sage) dual boiler machine paired with the Breville Smart grinder. I buy my beans from a local roaster but find that no matter how fine I grind, distribute, tamp pressure, or anything else I try I can’t get constant brew pressure using the single wall basket. The same beans will give me 9 bar pressure infrequently with between 6 and 7 being more frequent. I get consistent results using the duel wall basket. The machine is only a few months old. Any thoughts on what I,m doing wrong please. 😢

      Hi Derek,
      Can I ask where you store your beans?

      Hi Kev. I buy the beans from a local roaster then vacuum seal them in bags, keeping a couple of hundred grams out at a time in a vacuum sealed container for use over a couple of days. I only put enough beans in the hopper for each cup I brew (20g)

    What do you think of the DF54 to go with the dual boiler?

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  3 місяці тому +1

      I think it's a very solid option, best pairing for that price in my opinion, I'd prefer the DF54 for espresso to any other grinder at that price point. Ta, Kev

    Breville USA are bundling the older, less reliable and slightly less versatile Dose Control for only 40 bucks less than buying the Smart Grinder Pro as a stand alone purchase 🤬. I picked the midnight Niche Zero to go with my black truffle Bambino Plus instead.

    Really what about Sylvia rocky 400 bucks . I love mine built better then everyone of those. Will last a life time. Just wondering why. It would fit in to that budget.
