The editor of this video needs to double check and re-edit the photos used for some of the palaces and properties as they are incorrect. Eg the Savoy photo and “the strand” are definitely incorrect. The Savoy photo is a hotel in Germany and not the correct one in London…
Wrong. In the channel islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm, and Sark) the ruling monarch is known as the Duke of Normandy after William the first who invaded in 1066. The title for the Isle of Man is Lord of Mann. A lot of the money from the duchy of lancaster goes into government coffers and only a portion of that is released as the sovereign grant (formerly the civil list), to pay for running expenses and state banquets etc. A portion of this goes to the expenses of the working royals. A lot of the castles are still technically owned by the monarch of the day in right of the crown, but operate as a uninhabited tourist attration, these are called Historic Royal Palaces. They may have some grace and favour apartments or some soldiers or ex soldiers barracked there but these include, The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, no royal has lived in the Toeer of London for hundreds of years now. as are the jewels, crowns, seabed, swans on certain reaches of the river thames, the crown estate which has a fair bit of land is also administered by the government of the day and a portion of thr monies earned goes to the sovereign grant as well like the duchy of lancaster, hence there is a position in goverment called minister without portfolio and chancellor of the duchy of lancaster who oversees the delivery of funds to the UK government.
What belongs to Queen Elizabeth is her own private property and her own private jewellery and her own private belongings. These properties are hundreds of years old and have a history, so we know. Example, Sandrigham was bought in 1862 for the then Prince of Wales, as a country house. It then passed to his heir, George V, it then passed to his heir Edward VIII, then on his abdication bought by his brother George VI, then passed to his heir Queen Elizabeth II, and now to her heir King Charles III. One day it will pass to William, Prince of Wales, and then to his son Prince George of Cambridge, and one day to the heir of Prince George. The same with the other private properties and belongings. The Crown is what belongs to the people and everything is registered. We are not on selling things, so it just stays as it mostly.
As I understand it, Buckingham Castle belongs to the government or the Crown and not to the private property of the royal family. If the monarchy ceased to exist, all the properties of the Crown are owned by the government.
Apart from the fact there are so many errors and downright lies in this video, the pronunciation is so bad I had to turn on the subtitles and I'm English.Make sure these videos won't appear on my feed again.
About those crown jewels. Neither Elizabeth nor Britain owned the Austrian crown jewels (shown in this video as part of #9). Again! You are showing the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, not London. The Channel Islands owe allegiance to the monarch, not as King or Queen, but as Duke of Normandy. In part 19, that's James VI, not James IV.
I will always love and cherish the Queen!🥰🙏🏾💕 You never know who thinks highly of you. I am grateful she shared her most precious memories with me. So much has changed since her transition.😒🙃
This is full of inaccuracies. Queen Elizabeth spent most of her childhood in London, not Balmoral. Balmoral was the summer holiday home and private getaway. Windsor was where the Princesses Elizabeth and Margret were evacuated to during the war, and before that they lived in a private home in Piccadilly and then Buckingham Palace. So Windsor became The Queen's favourite residence, as she felt safe there.
Interesting. Although some information wasn't totally accurate. You missed one- 20. The Cenotaph. No one is allowed to lay wreaths without permission from the crown. In 2018, the Germans were given permission to lay a wreath, after herself, to celebrate the ending of the great war of 1914 - 1918. The only country not in the commonwealth whom lay wreaths is the Republic of Ireland. They lay on behalf of the former Irish regiments & Calvary. In July the Belgium armed forces lay wreaths there. This tradition dates back to HIM King George V. Hope that this information is useful to thee. Faugh-a-Ballagh. God save the King.
Wrong….again, swans are not all owned by the queen, even in open waters. The monarch only owns those around Windsor, or on waters/lakes, on monarch owned land. This was confirmed by Buckingham palace when a little girl wrote to the late queen asking if she (the little girl) could have a swan. The palace confirmed that the queen did not own All swans.
You need to get your facts straight, she did not own Buckingham Palace and therefore couldn't leave it to anyone! Buckingham Palace is owned by the Government, for use by the Monarch
All the crown property in the UK Canada Australia etc. it’s owned by the crown government takes most of the taxes of each of these countries but the small percentage is paid to the crown because it is officially owned by the royal family most Canadians Australians do not realize this is how they are paid for using their face on occurrences as well to be named as our monarch… If you ever read the small print when you’re leasing crownland you will see who owns it

I read that she had several of Warhols Queen Elizabeth prints in her collection . These prints are going for almost a million each after her death. The queen had an eye for good modern art also
Queen Elizabeth II left her Corgis in the care of her son Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York who originally gave them to the queen. Andrew and Sarah have continued to live together for years. The doggies are in good care.
Yes, true was Mr Martin's a Spaniard also a part of knowing is also referred as Scottish Gold, and is also the existing gateway as strait of Gibraltar. British Crown Heritage!
The Crown Estate is not run by the monarch as the sovereign gives the profits to the Treasury and gets payment from the estate if the sovereign takes it back to the people's will lose out on millions, not all the things are in the crown collection and am sure they can take stuff out of the collection as the monarch is the crown a crown all the gold jewels does not own property
Some, like Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, are owned by the Crown (ownership by the British monarch is by virtue of his or her position as king or queen), while others like Balmoral Castle and Sandringham House are personally owned and have been passed down for generations
I think you comment is very unfair and desrespectable. It was the Palace who wouldn't have allowed King Charles to marry Camilla if she had wished at the time. She would not have passed the criteria to be elegible. When a marriage breaks down, generally, it is not the responsability of one of the parts. Princess Diana had her fair share of responsability on the process - having been caused by her or a consequence of what she suffered from others -. Who cheated first, Charles or Diana? Who cheates the most? Why offend Camilla just for the pleasure of offending someone? She didn't break any home, have you thought for a second on the state of that marriage? Do you understand that Princess Diana met Prince Charles 13 times before marrying him? I think that if people want to write books they shoud focus on themselves, their marriages and their families. Who can throw a stone? People have the gall! Criticizing others for what very likely they can be criticized. Which husband and which wife doesn't sleep around?
@@Bignaqc There’s as difference between and absolute monarchy (which is what your talking about), and a Constitutional Monarchy (where the British citizens elect parliamentarians to represent them in parliament. Screwed a lot of taxpayers money in millions over the years too pay for their private ventures. Prince Harry getting £2m+ for refurbishing cottages on a farm she owned & gave to him. He has over £12m, his father has a few £100m & was granny was a billionaire X+ over. We the peasants get loans, mortgages or borrow of rich parents or do it up but by bit. I've lost all respect for the Windsors, Harry said he was going to pay it all back but changed his mind & negotiate to pay some back, this was too stop a precedent being set of paying for private ventures & not getting the State to fork out & to keep the Royal prerogative that has been there for centuries ie their Royal bodies are different from ours & their demands goes back to Charles II & they still hold power despite a peoples parliament. Don't be fooled by all the handshaking.
@@seltaeb3302 I’m not fooled by all the handshaking. Frankly I don’t get why they are bowed to or you can’t touch them first or speak to them first. The editor of this video needs to double check and re-edit the photos used for some of the palaces and properties as they are incorrect. Eg the Savoy photo and “the strand” are definitely incorrect. The Savoy photo is a hotel in Germany and not the correct one in London…
There are so many mistakes and mis truths in this video 🤯
It’s amazing how some people keep wanting to inform us about the royal family when they know next to nothing
American narrator
Her birth is wrong. It's 21st April 1926
Please tell us which are lies and truths...
What is a "mis truth"....?
Lovely and interesting video!! My question is: How much belonged to the crown and how much belonged to Elizabeth herself?
Hello Lynne Clark. How are you doing? May the queen soul rest in heaven 😓🙏
Her art collection is crazy
AMEN
I do believe she had a very extensive stamp collection or at least she collected stamps.
The stamp collection was begun by her grandfather King George V
Worth about £100M I believe. Started by her Father and Grandfather.
As I understand it, Buckingham Castle belongs to the government or the Crown and not to the private property of the royal family. If the monarchy ceased to exist, all the properties of the Crown are owned by the government.
Queen has internalized many memories in the mind of world wide people .
Still hard to think of a world with no Queen Elizabeth.
The fact one person owns wild life blows my mind
to protect them as royalty dont eat them anymore
They don’t really own them - no one can own wild life. All they can do is protect them.
Agree! But that has been well cared for- thriving!
@@markjones4704 of course they eat some of them hence hunting them.
There is the Family..then there are others..
There are Private Residences..there are State Owned residences..not the same thing at all
Did you list the Queen's birthdate as Feb 6, 1952? That was her date of ascension as gueen. She was born in 1925.
21 April 1926
Apart from the fact there are so many errors and downright lies in this video, the pronunciation is so bad I had to turn on the subtitles and I'm English.Make sure these videos won't appear on my feed again.
About those crown jewels. Neither Elizabeth nor Britain owned the Austrian crown jewels (shown in this video as part of #9). Again! You are showing the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, not London. The Channel Islands owe allegiance to the monarch, not as King or Queen, but as Duke of Normandy. In part 19, that's James VI, not James IV.
A lot of this is incorrect. It is very frustrating when massive generalisations are skewed to a disrespectful narrative.
Innit though.
So true. I made a comment on this before I saw this one.
Technically, she left everything to them because you can’t take it with you. Your majesty, may you rest in peace.
She left nothing because none of it was heres
@@gemmashaw8431 THE late Queen was a very wealthy woman. Get your facts right !!!!!!!
Interesting. Although some information wasn't totally accurate. You missed one-
I'm from the colony that is Australia haha , even I knew that she didn't own Buck house , holroyd palace
Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth along with your sole mate Prince Phillip we will miss you love from USA🥰🥰🥰
You need to get your facts straight, she did not own Buckingham Palace and therefore couldn't leave it to anyone! Buckingham Palace is owned by the Government, for use by the Monarch
I enjoyed this! I knew about the swans, but the ocean life near the shores.
You enjoyed what? This video is totally incorrect..
All the crown property in the UK Canada Australia etc. it’s owned by the crown government takes most of the taxes of each of these countries but the small percentage is paid to the crown because it is officially owned by the royal family most Canadians Australians do not realize this is how they are paid for using their face on occurrences as well to be named as our monarch… If you ever read the small print when you’re leasing crownland you will see who owns it
The Crown, means the government.
@@archiebald4717 the crown,owns the government .
It can’t be that hard to find a decent producer, decent copywriter, decent voiceover artist and a decent video editor… there’s no sound design going on here but not needed. Listicles don’t need to be cringey Watch Mojo. I’ve got a lot of question… oooh I’ll need some stock footage of somebody with question marks for that! I get it. You have to smash out content at a blistering rate, but you have all the resources at hand for it to not look and sound cheap and tacky. Plus, as many people have pointed out, so many mistakes in terms of facts and details. Two words. UA-cam Clutter.
Although Buckingham Palace is seen as the first Royal Residence the late Queen's adress was in fact Windsor Castle.
I believe Buckigham Palace is the official residence of the monarch and Windsor Castle was the weekend retreat of The Queen.
I missed a mention of the Duchy of Cornwall which today is managed by Prince William.
They inherited the world 🌎
The Tower was built by the Normans
Her birthday is 21st April 1926 PLEASE CORRECT THIS
If you realize your mistakes then either take this down or edit & correct. STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION.
Plus a hard act to follow
The Crown estates are not personally owned
Windsor isn’t owned by the queen it belongs to the nation
Some, like Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, are owned by the Crown (ownership by the British monarch is by virtue of his or her position as king or queen), while others like Balmoral Castle and Sandringham House are personally owned and have been passed down for generations
why show the Queen Mother? That is NOT QE II.
I've never heard such barbaric brutalisation of a language
Americans for you
Perhaps a book on how to not break up a marriage for Charlie the Cheater and CowMilla the Homewrecker.
Buckingham Palace doesn’t belong to the sovereign, it belongs to the U.K. government. Also many other parts of this video are incorrect.
The UK government is in the name of the crown .if it belongs to the government, then it belongs to the monarchy.
@@Bignaqc The U.K. government is a constitutional monarchy and the sovereign is more or less a figure head. Doesn’t work that way mate.
@@Dr.C_MediaProductions a constitutional what ? Monarchy.
@@Bignaqc There’s as difference between and absolute monarchy (which is what your talking about), and a Constitutional Monarchy (where the British citizens elect parliamentarians to represent them in parliament. The sovereign in a constitutional monarchy are figure heads with little to no power. The U.K. sovereign does not own government property nor does anything under the government belong to them. Might want to get ya facts straight before challenging someone who know their stuff. Last I’ll talk about it. Have a great day mate.
The Queen does not BUCKINGHAM PALACE. OR WINDSOR. It belings to the government.
It really is too much for one family. I believe the monarchy is important to Britain but they don’t need public money. They can certainly afford their own security, etc.
They get paid for their work, like the rest of the folk, and the money they get given is to do the job and expenses.
We all knew that her passing was coming but it’s still a shock that she’s gone. She really was a legend. I’d hate to be the person who handles her will with how much she had.
Honestly it was the luck of birth that they became royal. It may have been different in earlier years but it hasn’t been that way for a very long time. I’m not British so I don’t have any idea how much the British people have to pay in taxes. The only issue that I’ve ever had was having to bow to them. Even the Americans bow. Nope, sorry, the only person I bow to is God.

So many wrong things here ! The Queen didn’t spend most of her childhood at Balmoral, but rather it was Windsor. Much of the items mentioned belong to the crown is not personal property.

Buckingham Pale belongs to 'the people' not the royal family.

Consort is a homewrecker married to a cheater.
But is she all royals can't so much as spit
Years of service and very much missed .
Numerous misleading errors (🙄), but interesting nonetheless.
Most of the properties are national monuments that belong to the institution of the Crown; in other words, the late queen did not leave anybody anything that can ben held as personal property.
Wow how wrong you are in this video there are so many errors its hard to know were to start goes to show never listern to someone who doesn't now how the British monarchy works firstly it all get let to the next person in line which is now our king the only properties she own out right was intital 3 the rest are all belong to the crown estate so before making a video fo you research properly
Means nothing how rich you are. We all die in the end. As long as your happy and can feed yourself that's all that matters. Material items mean nothing. As they say you can't take it with you. I could quite probably have been well off now but i chose to live my youth in the Army and spend it all. I have memories that will last me till the end and that's all that matters.
Stevie in Scotland.
So much false hood. Elizabeth cannot leave crown lands because they belong to the crown, same with her jewels most were crown jewels passed along to maintain the “ royal” image
Along with heart break, cost of living crisis, homelessness, poverty, a son that should be in jail, a grandson that walked away from the family, a fortune, a non united Britain, a tree full of bad apples for police and a messy government.
And a son who cheated on his wife, and who is now the king. Shameful.
