My enjoyment of this game skyrocketed when I decided to turn off auto join for team voice chat and started typing /hidechat into the text box at the start of each match
Absolute opposite. People are either chill which makes them fun to talk to, giving good call outs or they're flaming which is super fun to watch. The absolute least fun games are the ones where its pure silence.
You can also set a shortcut (i think its alt+c by default) to hide the chat
On console you can turn off both team and match chat in settings. Idk for PC tho

I remember this torbjorn was going off into a corner by himself at the beginning of a match in junkertown. He started off ranting and saying slurs about his previous match. Dude died literally one second after the match started. He called us all slurs. I said "are you okay dude, how old are you" and he started ranting about me being a p*do. He found out I was a girl and kept saying I was actually the f slur in disguise 😭 it was in a casual match too. The funniest, saddest souls get mad at this game
