    At first I thought that was the crappiest shot posted on UA-cam, then I backed it up and paused frame by frame and for how quartered he was, that tip went right up to his heart. What a shot, and damn, the amount of physical effort put in for that week to get that bull! This is some true honest footage of P.L. hunting and it is much appreciated.

    Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

    Congrats on the public land bull! I'd rather watch this all day over a private land / elk sanctuary hunt. Pickar has ice in his veins when he draws back.

    I was told and then read on the Wyoming Wildlife website we needed a certified guide or a resident with a temp guide permit. Kinda takes all the fun out of going on a hunting trip with your buddies don't you think? Did you guys use some type of guide? Heck of a shot btw.

      Walter Valdez thanks for watching! This was a DIY hunt. Dan is a resident of Wyoming. Non-residents are required to have a licensed outfitter or guide if they plan to hunt designated wilderness areas in the state.

    • @danpickar5442

      Hey Jackson!! My biggest advice is to practice at 50 or 60 yards and then the shots at 40 yards and closer will be even easier. I don't recommend shooting past 40 at an animal your first year hunting though. Good luck!

    • @EastmansHuntingJournals

    Why are people so proud of shooting an stupid type of creature from 500 meterd away while it has no idea it is going to be hunted?

    • @anonymousdoesstuff6454
      @anonymousdoesstuff6454 4 роки тому +6

      That animal has lived its whole life hunted. It was outsmarted, he is proud because he has spent a week tracking. That is not easy and is something to take pride in. Compared to rifle hunting, bow hunting is on another level. You must have the skill to aim, calculate drop, and the physical strength to draw those bow strings. A rifle hunter could sit hundreds of yards away, letting a machine calculate the distance, wind speeds and drop of his bullet, all without the worry of the prey picking up on his presence. Bow hunters are extremely skilled individuals, and should always be proud of their achievements.
