vlog/comment: This is another puzzle that got broken in the transition between the NYT release and the syndication. In the NYT version, the numbers listed in the theme answers are highlighted within the grid. As there is no revealer or any other hints as to what is going on with the theme entries, the theme is utter nonsense as presented. I was able to guess what was in the themers based on the crosses, but I imagine there will be a number of solvers that will be stymied on this one for being unable to do such a thing.
