It's unfortunate that YT does weird things as your channel hadn't been showing up despite the fact I'm subbed. Anyway, I'm glad I looked it up and will pay more attention henceforth as I enjoy your thorough and informative content. Thanks!
We've heard this a lot recently, I believe there's a few comments like this posted within a few days of yours saying the same thing. I don't know what UA-cam is doing on the backend, but we've been consistent with videos since the start. Hope you have a chance to check out a lot of the stuff we've published over the past while!
I bought a 2023 Corsair GT (ordered 10/22, delivered 8/23). In sales, I did a lot of driving. Retired, not so much. This car works for me, although it is not my dream car. I get (after 20,000 miles) 49 mpg, long term average. The ev mode gets 24-27 miles of range, weather, temp dependent. I use level 1 overnight but still kicking around a level 2 option at home. The power flow diagram (you had it on the screen briefly) shows either electrical input (regen) or output, not a lot of info. Blue Cruise works on pre mapped highways only. Were you trying it on a pre mapped? Blue Cruise is also a subscription based option, renewable after two years. I’ve used it a few times, meh. Massaging seats are a joy after a round of golf! My biggest complaint is the cargo area cannot fit a set of golf clubs sideways. 3 sets max in the back. The HUD is useful on long trips, otherwise I leave it off. Could have skipped that option
Thanks for sharing! These are relatively popular, at least the ICE version. I'm hoping that Lincoln gives this a solid update with slightly better PHEV technology, as it's lacking compared with other luxury brands at the moment.
The RAV4 Prime and its luxury cousin the Lexus NX 450 h + have more horsepower in hybrid mode, more horsepower in EV mode and more EV range. They are also very efficient when in hybrid mode. Doesn’t mean they are better for everyone, but they have those advantages. The big disadvantage is availability. Charging speed is not really important for most people because you charge over night and if you run out of EV range you just drive hybrid. Not a problem. Doesn’t make sense to spend 2 hours charging for the equivalent of one gallon of gas.
You have some good points, no doubt. I think it depends on how people drive and what they need out of their vehicles. I tend to do a lot of small trips throughout the weekends, coming home for an hour or two, so having a faster 7.2 kW charger can get me back to 100% quicker for my next trip.
My 21 Rav4 Prime has the option to show what the engine is doing in the center screen or the instrument cluster. I’m really surprised the Lincoln doesn’t have that. It also clearly shows you your charge and your range in the instrument cluster.
We do hear from people that get crazy numbers out of their PHEVs, I know when we first reviewed the Chevrolet Volt I had commenters saying they were getting 120+ km EV range. If you're in town and use the re-gen braking a lot you'll definitely extend the overall range.
i have the 2024 Corsair GT, PHEV. In the summer i get the charge to 43-47 km. Right now November in canada with temp at 10 C it only charges to 29-30 km. The moment i get in I select conserve mode, when i drive 1 km it consumes More than 4 to 5 kms sometime. Awful waste of energy. So in the long run Sure its a bit cheaper than gas But a POS... for the algorithms they use for the battery. GARBAGE. I don't drive more than 20-30 km per day often less than that , but I'm Constantly charging... and I drive like a 100 year old grandpa to save energy , getting lots of One finger salutes. If I drive the normal way, The battery will not yield more than 22-24 km at the very best in the summer Some times 2 times a day... Like I said it goes through the range Very fast... EXTREMELY FAST!!! I WILL trade Soon for a BETTER FULL ELECTRIC... NEVER again buy a hybrid unless the battery capacity is 150KM or more. NEVER
I'd run before i bought another ford hybrid.. i never had the fuel issues, my mpg was great, but, the build quality was junk, rattles, and a ton of electrical issues.. the drivetrain was solid, but the computer controls.. yikes!
I had a good experience with my 2018 Focus Electric, and many people love their Fusion PHEVs, but this one just misses the mark. I believe Ford is discontinuing the hybrid Explorer for retail customers also. I think they need to go back to the drawing board on their electrified plans.
Where is a 72% parts made in America compact (reliable) SUV for the working class? Where is the customers' loyalty? This car is being made 72% parts made in America. And built dependable and "quality". This is not about narcissism. To build "luxury." Why do we live in a world where the for-profit banking allows the people to build wealth to afford these cars, yet this worker needs a zero percent loan to afford the cheap import. Do you see the problem? If you are gonna build a luxury car, I mean "reliable", I need it to be longer lasting with a 10-year interest-free car loan. And if banks are not-for-profit, how do we afford a "luxury" car? Try "quality", built 100% made in America. And interest-free loans. In the current for-profit banking system. The only way I'm gonna afford this car is to buy it very used, with no warranty and expensive repair bills, because you replaced quality with luxury. And I have a skilled trade employment. Who wants a car made wil skill. Not luxury.

@@PRNTestDrive Bien sûr! As a Maritimer, I very much like that you guys test in a relatively similar environment. Keep up the great work!

I compared this vehicle to the Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEV, and I bought the Tonale, for all the reasons you complained about, and a lot more.
Lincoln needs to step their game up if they want to stay competitive.

Ford/Lincoln should be further ahead with this technology, it's why we were a little disappointed with this one.
There IS a tachometer!! Needs to be initiated through settings.
We tried absolutely everything to get it to enable and it wouldn't.
If you want the detailed power gauge display, put the car into "EXCITE" mode.
But it doesn't do that on this model.
I have a 2022 lincoln corsair that gets 66 - 74 kms all electric. It depends how you drive it.

The title didn’t indicate plugin hybrid. I have no interest in that but yet, I didn’t know until the video started.
I mean it's pretty prominent in the thumbnail for the video.
@@PRNTestDriveNow the title has it; very good.
PHEV
Are you interested in the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring non-phev? Good luck with that.
@@Anhedonis Why do you say it like that?

There are definitely better PHEVs on the market. Ford dropped the ball with their hybrid development.
As much as I like the car, it needs to be US$15k-20k less expensive.
This!
Just wait a few years
Definitely!

@@PRNTestDrive I agree, coworker has a fusion hybrid with at least 200k troublefree miles.. the new one's aren't that.. lol
I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid with 80,000 miles. Been happy with it so far. (Knock wood)
I had a 2013 ford cmax hybrid for 97000 miles, it was perfect never need anything. I now have the 2022 Lincoln corsair phev

Thanks for checking this one out!
That is not enough power for a luxury brand in that price range.
Agreed. There are some significant shortcomings on this that feel like a compliance car.
It’s a crappy American car. Pass
There's certainly a lot of room for improvement here, the PHEV portion feels like a compliance car.
