@kpmathis71 well, some people have genuine compassion for animals. Count the pattern of the taps and then have a lobster translator tell you what Leon is saying. You can communicate with Leon by learning to speak (tap) his language. Let us know how it goes.😄
The amount of intelligence is mind blowing for a crustacean! Leon has been very interesting to watch I used to think lobsters were pretty dumb but now I realize that they are smarter than we think.
@@xydya Worth noting that cleverer insects have considerable capabilities, e.g. some wasps can differentiate between faces. Wasp- as well as human faces.

Leon looks SO healthy and comfortable. His life has really changed thanks to you (and he has a life thanks to you). I wonder...if he could think like we do, what he would think about how many tens of thousands of people watch his adventures.
I wonder…if he could think like we do, what he would think about how tens of millions of his family were/are slaughtered not even out of “necessity” for survival
Now that I am following Leon‘s growth and progress, I realize how grateful I am that the narrator is well-versed in caring for him. I apparently am bonding with the lobster. Whoever would’ve thought that I would be intrigued to follow the adventures of a lobster and an aquarium. Great job!
I always wonder if my cat remembers the time when she was in the shelter or with her mommy and siblings. Watching Leon standing in the middle of his aquarium doing lobster things, I wonder if he remembers his time in the ocean or the grocery store tank. An what he thinks of his new life. Well, it’s definitely better than the grocery store. Thank you for keeping us updated with Leons progress. And thank you for saving his life. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
First thing I thought when Leon tapped on the glass was that he is trying to communicate with you. As always, thank you for taking such good care of him!
In rural Japan, it’s startling how many gorgeous abandoned homes there are. In a way it really breaks your heart seeing homes vacant and being reclaimed by nature. I recently got to explore an abandoned hotel/theme park in Japan. It’s haunting, beautiful and heartbreaking. Everything was left behind. Furniture, televisions, fine china, decorations. Lots has fallen to the elements, but some areas seem so pristine despite being left to the elements.
Brady, you really hit a home run with this lobster series! Excellent photography, excellent narration, and off course lets not forget the star of show, Leon the lobster! 🙏😇👍
Gosh, I remember when his claws were taped up and he was so half frozen he could barely move. Bless you for saving him, it's lovely to see. Hugs from the UK ❤
He is definitely saying hi! He loves you it shows in how beautiful he has become. Animals are really looked over by us humans they deeply communicate with each other and us. We rescued over 30 cats now and have taught us a lot. Thank you for bringing us yourself and Leon and having such a great lesson for us all!
Thank you for the window into Leon’s life. Thank you for being so patient. This is a lesson for us all. There’s an amazing world around us and we rarely take the time to pause and breathed for a moment and enjoy it.
I’m from Uruguay, South America and we don’t have abandoned houses like that one. They would usually get occupied by people who remodel them to their best possible, depending on the money they can invest and live there for as long as they can as long as they pay rent and other taxes. I love your videos, lost of love from the southern hemisphere!
When I was a kid (decades ago) there were abandoned "haunted" houses in our city in Utah, USA, but no more! If you own a broom-closet or a shoe-box here you will now get calls from people wanting to rent it. Maybe that craziness is part of why I enjoy watching Leon so much. It's so peaceful (mostly) and I love the way the whole ecosystem is developing. Kudos to you for being willing to let it do that instead of "managing" it. Another great one--thanks and keep us posted! 🌹
@@McKeelix Ah, but I'm older than that, and our abandoned houses dted back to the beginning of the 20th century or before. They just got left unused for some reason--but no longer! The ones in my former neighborhood are still standing, though.

Abandoned houses like that always make me feel introspective and a bit melancholy. I think of all the lives lived, all the memories, and how the abandonment speaks to the ephemeral nature of our whole existence.

Leon's got such beautiful blue legs nowadays - it's absolutely incredible looking at him after all this time, especially compared to how he looked when fresh caught out of the ocean.

I choose to believe that Leon is tapping to say hello. And I can't believe he hasn't managed to snack on any of those glass shrimp yet. :) I'm glad he's getting along better with them than the killifish.
I think him tapping is a greeting, especially if you do it when you say hi. Maybe he wants to play/ vanquish the evil claw, the one that sometimes brings food 😅
Brady, thank you for another fantastic, relaxing episode in Leon's life. He really is the master of his domain. It's just fascinating seeing his little friends flourish too. Each of them seems to occupy a niche in the tank life which doesn't place them at odds with each other for survival. That's really a special way to observe these creatures. It's startling to think of the contrast- the shrimp reproduce quickly and are "old" at a year, but Leon might live another 100. You show your passion for all living things in these videos and watching them is a treat. Beautiful shots, some relaxing music, and no split-second cuts- I can watch for hours. Best to you and Leon.
Bless you for being such a considerate human. Lobsters are much more intelligent than they are given credit for, and in fact, new research shows that their intelligence rivals that of the Octopus. Lobsters, if left alone can live as long as 100 years. They can recognize other lobsters and remember past acquaintances, as well as have elaborate mating rituals.
I've been following Leon's journey since the start but I also really enjoy the little abandoned house bits you've started to add. If you explore any more overgrown abandoned houses please don't hesitate to share them with us because they're super interesting too!

You know Brady that things take time, as a breeder, filmmaker ect. Leon was scared, scarred and violently taken from the ocean (like if we were beamed up). Count the pattern of the taps and then have a lobster translator tell you what Leon is saying. You can communicate with Leon by learning to speak (tap) his language. Let us know how it goes.😄

@@raydaug tapping is already a language.

Yep, Leon has certainly learned that tapping on the glass means friends communicating, "Hello! I'm here!"
I can’t believe how entertaining it is watching a show staring a … lobster and friends! 🥰
Awesome! Thank you for checking out Leon’s journey. ✌️✌️✌️🦞
Italy has ENTIRE TOWNS abandoned and old left just like that old house. I used to go explore them as a kid.
The amount of intelligence is mind blowing for a crustacean! Leon has been very interesting to watch I used to think lobsters were pretty dumb but now I realize that they are smarter than we think.
Even more remarkably, they have fewer neurons than most insects. We tend to assume arthropods are mindless robots, but that's clearly not the case.
@@xydya wow that’s amazing!
@@xydya Worth noting that cleverer insects have considerable capabilities, e.g. some wasps can differentiate between faces. Wasp- as well as human faces.
@@rng8899 We underestimate ALL animals. Even our own pets. People think they know their pet because they can read it's body language but they have no clue about their true intelligence and thoughts.
They're waaay smarter than we give them credit for.

When he taps the glass, I think Leon is saying, "Hello!" Leon is accepting and acknowledging you -- it's like knocking on the door between your two realms. I think Leon is very smart and grateful.
I don't think it's just food. Not at all. He's tapping back to you like you tap at the glass at him
Yeah, maybe he wanna say HI at Brady and his UA-cam Community 😊🙏🏻💙🦞
Yes, exactly I believe that too !
I couldn’t have said it better. 🦞
Leon is tapping 🆘
Let me out, send me back to the oceans
@@H_A_L_7 LoL..
Leon looks SO healthy and comfortable. His life has really changed thanks to you (and he has a life thanks to you). I wonder...if he could think like we do, what he would think about how many tens of thousands of people watch his adventures.
🙏🏻💙🦞
I wonder…if he could think like we do, what he would think about how tens of millions of his family were/are slaughtered not even out of “necessity” for survival
@jonathanbirch2022 😥
( He might get a little snobby about it), better not tell him, Lol
@@wejsmith5446 He'd be asking where his dinner is. Lobsters are cannibals.
Some folks are pet owners. Some of us are pet lovers. You're definitely a pet lover. Glad to see someone who appreciates the joys pets brings.
Now that I am following Leon‘s growth and progress, I realize how grateful I am that the narrator is well-versed in caring for him. I apparently am bonding with the lobster. Whoever would’ve thought that I would be intrigued to follow the adventures of a lobster and an aquarium. Great job!
your editing and commenting are up there and the biggest reason why Leon is such a legend
I second that
I always wonder if my cat remembers the time when she was in the shelter or with her mommy and siblings. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
He's saying "hi!". He knows you do that when you see him. ❤❤
Leons colours have really gotten amazing. So much blue its so cool
First thing I thought when Leon tapped on the glass was that he is trying to communicate with you. As always, thank you for taking such good care of him!
LOBSTERS ARE LIKE HUMANS 🙏🏻💙🦞
In rural Japan, it’s startling how many gorgeous abandoned homes there are. In a way it really breaks your heart seeing homes vacant and being reclaimed by nature.
I recently got to explore an abandoned hotel/theme park in Japan. It’s haunting, beautiful and heartbreaking. Everything was left behind. Furniture, televisions, fine china, decorations. Lots has fallen to the elements, but some areas seem so pristine despite being left to the elements.
That would be so sad to see
Leon's story makes me realise the beauty of life, it doesn't matter if you failed in life, are poor, single etc, living is beautiful in itself
♥️
I love the perpetual sand patch on his back. I'm sure it's hard to reach it, but I like to think it's his superhero cape or security blanket
oh sheesh... I didn't expect to burst in tears when I saw him mimic your tapping on the glass. That is definitely a "hi, friend"
I can't get over how good Leon looks. The home he has is so pretty too. Thank you again for sharing Leon's life with us. I appreciate it!
Def showing his friendship towards you
He is definitely saying hi!
Yeah😊🙏🏻💙🦞
Aren't you glad you rescued Leon? He turned out to be an amazing pet and now you've got a whole ecosystem growing in your home!
It's rare that a lobster gets to be an apex predator in its environment. I hope Leon lives a long time :)
What a beautiful boy he has become. This is one of the best journeys ever.
Thanks for sharing that.
Wish we could do that here but the government won't allow it.
Here in the USA a lot of our houses (especially the cheaper ones) aren’t built to last.
@@McKeelix Ah, but I'm older than that, and our abandoned houses dted back to the beginning of the 20th century or before. They just got left unused for some reason--but no longer! The ones in my former neighborhood are still standing, though.
Leon is seriously my favorite series to come and watch on UA-cam glad to see he’s doing good still insane how long I been around
😊🙏🏻💙🦞
What a joy to have Leon back, I swear he is communicating with you when he taps the glass.
It’s lovely to see the little ecosystem develop, I can’t wait for the next film to see if he moults too. I am so invested in this Lobster and his Friends it’s unreal, your music choice and narration make this a magical place to visit Brady.

Didn't know what I expected when I clicked the first video, but man I did not expect to get this involved in a lobsters life
Leon tapping the glass is simply him saying hi to you. He has bonded to you. He is yours, and You are His!
He has some personality haha ! Crazy to think his situation before. Look at his colors coming through ! You're bringing life back into something resigned to death. Love the Leon updates !
Abandoned houses like that always make me feel introspective and a bit melancholy. I think of all the lives lived, all the memories, and how the abandonment speaks to the ephemeral nature of our whole existence.
that is very lovely ❤
So true
Very profound ❤
Awww 🥰 Leon was saying hello to you by tapping the tanks glass ! Lobsters are smart ! He knows who you are ! How sweet ! I want to say thank you for saving Leon and for all the vital and valuable information you give your viewers ! My granddaughter and I have learned much by watching Leon ! ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊😊😊
I love watching videos of Leon especially knowing that 30 or even 50 years from now, I might still watch new videos of Leon.

Damn I missed out on so many Leon videos. I was so concerned that they weren’t showing up on my feed so I had to look for your channel. Glad to see he’s doing well.
Leon is so colorful and beautiful.
I love how well you care for him. The water is crystal clear and the tank is so beautiful. Thank you Brady
I live in Norway out by the west coast, and the only real abandoned ,run down building you see are either old farm buildings or old boathouses. Very interesting to see how you live there , and your adventures with Leon and your other animals.
I hate norway sorry, this is because they eat some lobsters and have some lobster restaurants, very badly, and mad for a country. 🙏🏻💙🦞
Wish we could see Leon twice a month he is so incredibly interesting to study also very calming his aquarium is now full of new and exciting creatures nature surely is wonderful and isn’t Leon in great shape he’s absolutely glowing with good health what a transformation since he was saved from the grocery store he sure is one lucky Lobster 🦞 thanks for saving this beautiful creature. Love from Glasgow Scotland 🏴
He’s tapping and saying hi! It’s comforting for him
How is not, Greetings 😊🙏🏻💙🦞
I’m so glad you’re not the kind of person who needs to make everything just right, but prefers to watch to see how things develop before deciding what’s best. I love all the bonus creatures🎉.
In Sydney Australia even a derelict house burnt out with no roof and no floors would be sold as a “renovators delight” for 1 million or more! I love watching Leon enjoy his new life. Who would have thought that watching a store bought lobster would be so interesting and entertaining. Thank you Brady for sharing your interests with us.
I love it~a "renovator's delight." 🤣In the US the ads read, "Bring your toolbox!" next to a photo of a hopeless wreck and the legend, "This could be your DREAM HOUSE!"
I can’t tell u how much I enjoy ur wonderful videos, I wish that you would post more about life with Leon. I’m 79 yrs old and coming to the end of my life cycle and love seeing life in Leon’s home. I feel like Leon is my pet too. What happens when all the Glass shrimp have all the babies, will they ruin the balance in the aquarium? I hope that you keep exploring the old falling apart houses it’s really interesting I just hope that you are careful. Thank you so much for sharing this part of ur life with me.🥰 I think ur goldfish tank is very pretty,I used to have aquariums in my younger days just with beautiful goldfish and used to get information from the San Francisco Aquarium when I had a problem with my goldfish especially if one got sick. The people there were always ready to help me with telling my what to do. Thank you again for sharing with this old girl.😍I’m waiting for ur next video. Keep safe and we’ll friend👍🏻👵🏻🇺🇸
OMG totally that is him saying hi to you!
He is saying Hello when he taps👍... also doesn't it just go to show how sensitive they are... that he could feel the tickle of a worm.. that these creatures feel pain.. I'm so grateful that you saved him🌹🙏🏻 One small step of a man.. one giant leap to safety for a lobster❤🙏🏻😊
“It's a dangerous business, Glass Shrimplings, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
Okay first of all, I love your music! I love how it transitions. I believe that since you say you tap the glass of the aquarium quite often when you see Leon, possibly Leon has decided that he's going to acknowledge you when he sees you. Is he's in the mood! Leon is absolutely gorgeous in his coloring. So, anything in the works on a broader scale for Leon to be displayed in? Documentary, movie, a book perhaps? When I watch your vids, with the exception of your stolen motorcycles, I believe my heart rate decreases my blood pressure stabilizes and I do feel so much calmer in this world. Thank you so much!❤😂
Stolen motorcycles?!
What's THAT about??
@@johanneabelsen1644 Brady had some vintage motorcycles that he was fixing up and they were stolen from his property. Boy was he upset! And did he use some salty language. Hi Brady, hi Leon 🦞! As so many others have said, Leon’s tapping the glass is the beginning of inter-species communication! Mimicking your actions and waiting for a response! Fascinating 🧐! Brady, I don’t know if it’s the camera or lighting , or timing or a hundred other variables but you’re a fantastic filmmaker! I seriously would pay money to see Leon’s journey on the “big “ screen! Also, I was wondering if it was nearing the time to molt. Do you know if it is a seasonal thing or a growth thing? Loving all the animals and exploration! 😊 Can’t wait for the next chapter! Ta-ya for now. Frances
It’s so cool seeing this little ecosystem evolving and thriving. Leon looks better than ever!
Leon's got such beautiful blue legs nowadays - it's absolutely incredible looking at him after all this time, especially compared to how he looked when fresh caught out of the ocean.
Leon!!! ♥️ So good to see him again. Awww this makes me so happy. I was in a dark place again and seeing Leon brightens up everything again. Thank you for that! I think he's slamming the glass just to say Hi cuz you are his best friend. That's what I like to believe haha.
I'm so sorry that you've been feeling down. Watching Leon is very uplifting and I'm glad you really like it .... Maybe you should get a Leon of your own? God bless you Sopherian.
Hey Sophie , you are right - all of us come here bec Leon and the life Brady has shown us is like a ray of sunshine . So sorry you were feeling in a dark place - if you would like to see someone who is also trying to battle a dark place - search you tube for Hi Ren . If you have not already heard of him - young British musician - a genius really . Blowing up on the internet and a champion for mental health . wishing you well .
I choose to believe that Leon is tapping to say hello. And I can't believe he hasn't managed to snack on any of those glass shrimp yet. :)
I'm glad he's getting along better with them than the killifish.
I agree that he is acknowledging you.
I think him tapping is a greeting, especially if you do it when you say hi. Maybe he wants to play/ vanquish the evil claw, the one that sometimes brings food 😅
It's always such a pleasure to get an update on Leon's life.
😊🙏🏻💙🦞
Leon is saying, “thank you.” I want to say thanks as well. Always love a Leon update!
Leon is so fascinating, and the fact that he reacts to you shows awareness of a species outside his watery world, just amazing!
I think he has learned that behavior and is trying to communicate. I love Leon and your cats!
Leon has made it impossible for me to eat lobster. It was a favorite food. I can’t do it anymore. ❤️
I eat it the way Homer ate Pinchy.
@@TheKrensada you have eat your brain man
I can’t help myself though, shellfish is just too good to pass up…
I've been following Leon's journey since the start but I also really enjoy the little abandoned house bits you've started to add. If you explore any more overgrown abandoned houses please don't hesitate to share them with us because they're super interesting too!

He looked so happy when he's tapping the glass
This new update really put a smile on my face. In particular, the crab waiting to slow-skate with a partner at the roller rink.
LOL great Leon voice there!!! Awesome artistry!
Tapping on the glass..... feed me!
I think that the knocking on the glass definitely is Leon saying hello, since you do it when you come say hello to him. Like "I see you, human."
I think Leon's tapping is his way of saying hello to you! He's a very smart little guy.. Love seeing Leon and love seeing Leon with all his friends!! Thanks for the video!
I found your first video about Leon around the same time im writing this, only yesterday. Then I went and watched all of the videos you've made about him. I feel like everyone has thought about the idea of saving one of those poor lobsters at the grocery store, so seeing someone actually go through with it with the knowledge it takes to do so is fascinating. I'm so happy for Leon! His transformation from the defeated lobster in the supermarket to the intelligent fierce king he's meant to be was very heartwarming and I'll definently be keeping up with you guys.
His transformation after the death-row pardon has been breathtaking, epic. Don't think anyone would wanna casually toss him into a pot of

I’m still following Leon never something I thought I’d be so involved in but I love him
You know Brady that things take time, as a breeder, filmmaker ect. Leon was scared, scarred and violently taken from the ocean (like if we were beamed up). He was unsure of Everything, there was moving tanks, moving house, your big family(with furbabies ;) Now there is Peace. He greets you now, and he now know you are his friend. Tapping the glass like you always did for him, showing he is happy to see you!
