What I remember about Melissa Etheridge performances are the faces in the audience-smiling, weeping, enthralled, ecstatic. I've only ever attended one of Melissa's concerts, although I'd love to attend more, and aside from her sheer, tireless energy, her loving embrace of her audience, her profound storyteller's lyrics, the sweeping, soaring music were the faces of the people all around me. I have video of them to prove it. To ignite that kind of response just once in a lifetime seems incredible to me, but Melissa has done it again and again and again. What a delight to be living on this planet at the same time as Melissa Etheridge!
Oh, one request if you haven't already performed it, "Fearless Love." You deeply spoke to me with that song. And thank you for taking us into your home, Melissa.

20 Plus years later I still get a lump thinking of the murder of Matthew Shepard. So glad Melissa still can relate. Wonderful song about him. The reason Melissa calls it scarecrow is the person who found him tied to the fence thought it was at first a scarecrow and saw dirt whipped off by the tears he had before he died. Melissa is the best.......

Melissa-remembering 'the best times' at the que in l.b., mid 80's...i had 'just' moved to so. cal. and my first g/f had left me-i had a broken heart so i came down there 'every' weekend-we were your first fans-playing pool with julie, benz behind the bar and i'd get 'buzzed' and i'd put a 20 in your tip jar and ask you to sing PINK CADILLAC-also went to vermies (i hate that name) later the 3772 club-nice to see you-last concert i saw you at was at the wiltern-early 90's-with that same girl who broke my heart
